Hi ladies... my apps think I am ovulating today so about to enter into the dreaded TWW and thought it might be nice to see if I have any 'cycle buddies' out there!? It would be lovely to see some BFP's on here!! We have been trying for a good few months for our first but have really given it everything this month (we're both sick of the sight of each other now😂). Currently have VERY sensitive nipples but other than that feeling good... had quite bad ovulation type pains the last few days but that has stopped now. x

Hello! On 6DPO here and trying to avoid testing early (which is so hard!) Had a chemical at the end of Jan so hoping to be extra fertile and for a sticky baby this month! X

SophMumBles · 20/02/2024 16:38

Hi! I’m in the same boat, the lonnnnng two week wait. Just joined MumsNet hoping for some positive stories as I’m driving myself nuts with my own negativity 😂
Best of luck and hope you get your positives!!
I had a miscarriage at the end of August, that baby would be due in 3 weeks time and I’d convinced myself I’d be pregnancy before the due date but still nothing so this month I feel under even more pressure. 😭
Fingers crossed for you both!xx

Figtree11 · 20/02/2024 17:02

Hi ladies,
I’m currently somewhere in a TWW, but not sure at what point as I’ve not tracked ovulation.
I had a MC in November so not quite sure what my cycles are like anymore.
I have been trying to DTD every 2-3 days for the past month to cover all bases - it is becoming a chore now!

@SophMumBles i am so sorry to hear of your MC & the due date is coming up. It must be so difficult. My due date would have been mid June, so I am desperate to conceive before then, and ideally still have a 2024 baby. But I am very scared it’s not going to happen.

I am having odd symptoms, like feeling sick & very mild stomach ache. But negative test so I’m still in the 2WW, although feels more like a 4WW 😂

Anonxo · 20/02/2024 17:20

Hi everyone would love to join as well sorry to hear about the mcs and CPs hopefully this month nothing but BFPs ✨

Llr2023 · 20/02/2024 18:45

Me too - would love to join. Thought I’d ovulated yesterday but temp still low this morning - actually dropped a bit if anything. So thinking today’s the day. Got my peak on OPKs on Sunday so it has to been about now! We tried to DTD this morning but too stressful pre-work. Will try again this evening. Hopefully temp spikes tomorrow so I know it’s happened. Xx

Familyfirst12 · 20/02/2024 19:05

Sorry to hear about your chemical @Herewegoagain0, and your MC’s @SophMumBles and @Figtree11 , really really hoping that this is a lucky thread for us. @Llr2023 we are at exactly the same point… I peaked on Sunday and BBT hasn’t yet confirmed ovulation so hoping it has happened today and that BBT will rise in the morning.

I had some slightly strange hormonal results from a Hertility test so just awaiting some further tests from the doctors and a scan to look into whether I have PCOS. Really trying to just stay positive and try everything in our power to make it happen. Have a good feeling about this month for some reason and so nice to have a group of like minded women on here!

@Figtree11 your symptoms sound positive, do you have any idea at all how many dpo you are?

OP posts:
Figtree11 · 20/02/2024 19:29

Nice to have some other people to talk to during this wait 😊
That’s interesting that you have done hertility @Familyfirst12 I looked into it but wasn’t sure whether to spend the money or not. I hope you hear back from the doctors soon.

I’ve no idea what DPO I am unfortunately - I was on the pill for years, and then conceived within 3 months with no tracking (only 1 AF during that time) and then since the MC in November I’ve only had 1 AF. I tried ovulation tracking but because I’ve no idea what a normal cycle for me has ever been, I gave up as I found it was making me really low not seeing a peak.

I’m now on cycle day 33 since my last period.
The TTC journey is driving me insane!

Familyfirst12 · 20/02/2024 19:41

Oh my gosh tell me about it @Figtree11, TTC is seriously draining. I feel like it’s totally consuming me.

I came off the pill in August after being on it for around 12 years… so had no idea what my cycles were like. I’ve had a few 35/36 day cycles but last one was about 47 days. I may be able to report better things after having more tests but right now I would not recommend Hertility, it has made me so worried and upset but without telling me with any certainty if I actually have anything definitely wrong with me!

Anyway… we have DTD every day for the last 5 days so hoping we have covered our bases for this month and we will see what happens!

As difficult as your cycles sound, it must be reassuring to know that you can conceive… although knowing when to DTD must be near impossible for you! X

Figtree11 · 20/02/2024 19:57

@Familyfirst12 I was on the pill for the same amount of time too. I'm sorry that hertility has caused you to feel like that. I think that’s why i’m burying my head in the sand about ovulation etc.
Hopefully you’ll be able to see a doctor soon to get some answers & put your mind at ease.

Yeah I’m clinging onto the fact I've conceived before that I hopefully I am able to again - but then I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of googling which I shouldn’t have done & has made me worry!
I am getting sick of scheduled DTD now, so wish time would hurry up so I can have a break from it 😂

When do you think you’ll be testing?

Familyfirst12 · 20/02/2024 20:08

From what I can gather, as long as we are actually ovulating, we have a chance. I should hopefully hear from the doctor tomorrow regarding my blood test… and then scan for potential PCOS is next month.
Google is my worst enemy, I have scared myself to death with it and DH has had to have a fairly strong word, it’s so unhealthy! Scheduled DTD is not fun is it, I can’t wait for a break… think we will do it tonight and then have a break, although I fear DH has enjoyed it a little too much and may want to carry on with this frequency😂😂. We’re actually going away on Monday until Saturday. If I have ovulated today, I would be 11dpo whilst still on holiday… half think it would be a lovely way to find out but on the other hand if I wait until we get home it will be more likely to be an accurate result. We will see, the whole thing is a bloody minefield!

Are you going to be testing daily?

Hello Grin

Thanks for stating this thread. I'm sorry to hear that it hasn't been straightforward for some of you.

This is our first cycle TTC #2. I think I'm due to ovulate tomorrow. We DTD today and that's the only time due to various factors so it would be quite lucky but I guess you never know...

Good luck all!

Familyfirst12 · 20/02/2024 20:33

Hi @MelonSmoothie if you ovulate tomorrow then today was peak fertility so you should have a good chance!!

Figtree11 · 20/02/2024 20:40

@Familyfirst12 im away with work next week & my DP will be glad I think so he can have a week off 😂 I have my fingers crossed for you that it works out for you while on holiday!

I don’t think I’ll test now until the weekend, as it gets me down seeing a BFN.

@MelonSmoothie hopefully you have a successful month!

Llr2023 · 21/02/2024 08:59

My temp rose this morning by 0.3 so looks like ovulation happened! @Familyfirst12 did yours? Do you think that means ovulation happened yesterday or day before? My natural cycles & premom apps are telling me two different things.
Day one here we go…!

Familyfirst12 · 21/02/2024 10:28

@Llr2023 my temp only rose by 0.12 so I’m not convinced!! I would say you ovulated yesterday. My Natural cycles and Pre mom always say different things but generally go off temp. Hopefully ovulation will be confirmed on my natural cycles in the next few days

So pleased to find people in the same situation, my husband has started zoning out when I speak to him about it these days!
@Figtree11 so sorry to hear about your miscarriage in Nov, fingers crossed this is your month 🤞🏻

@Familyfirst12 I did the Hertility test last month, and it’s left me a bit confused as it doesn’t give information about how to resolve any issues it finds. I went for a fertility MOT back in 2021 at an IVF clinic and that was much more comprehensive and definitely worth the money.

Trying to resist the urge to start testing at 5dpo as I usually do 🤣 Hoping this is a lucky month for everyone🤞🏻🙏🏼

Figtree11 · 21/02/2024 12:49

Thank you @SophMumBles
Fingers crossed it’s the month for you! How long have you been TTC for?

Herewegoagain0 · 21/02/2024 13:02

Also trying to hold out testing at 7DPO here! Will probably test on Friday. X

SophMumBles · 21/02/2024 13:09

@Figtree11
I’m trying for #2, when TTC my first, we started the IVF process but I very fortunately got pregnant naturally a week after a HSG test.
We started trying again around Christmas 2022 so a little over a year. Had a MC at 10 weeks in August and again at 5 weeks in Dec. Such an emotional rollercoaster 😔
How about yourself? Have you been trying for long?

Figtree11 · 21/02/2024 13:21

@SophMumBles i’m so sorry to hear of the miscarriages. It’s so awful. I never realised how a MC can affect you until I had one myself. I’m still struggling with it now.

I’m TTC my first, I’ve been trying since July 23. And one MC in that time. I am feeling desperate to conceive again but nothing seems to be happening

SophMumBles · 21/02/2024 14:26

@Figtree11 I totally agree, MC has definitely changed me. I feel so anxious about getting pregnant again incase it happens again too.

Really really hope it happens for you soon, I know how consuming it is. Wish there was more than we could control about the situation

Familyfirst12 · 21/02/2024 14:46

@SophMumBles that's so interesting that you were confused by your results too. I have had my results back from a blood test at the doctors to look into very high prolactin (reported in Hertility report) which has now been confirmed as okay... so just a pelvic scan in a few weeks to go now. So sorry to hear about your devastating MC's, I can't imagine how difficult that must be for you.

This entire process is so difficult, I feel like I have never wanted for anything so badly and it just feels so unattainable! I don't think my CM was great this month so trying not to get my hopes up, and ovu hasn't yet been confirmed by BBT so trying to just be chill about the whole thing.. and failing!

Looking forward to seeing your test on Friday @Herewegoagain0!

OP posts:
SophMumBles · 21/02/2024 15:16

@Familyfirst12 Oh really! I had the same thing, it said my prolactin was quite high but I’m struggling to find any information about how to lower it. Perhaps mine is inaccurate too. I begrudge paying another £149 to have it checked again so I may see if I can get it at the GP too.

It’s so hard to chill about something that means so much to you. Everyone says you have to chill for it to happen, but it’s impossible. I stopped measuring BBT as I felt it was making me more obsessed 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just use the ClearBlue digital ovulation test now.

Figtree11 · 21/02/2024 16:17

@SophMumBles thank you, it really is so consuming. I agree about the lack of control - I’ve booked myself in for reflexology soon, to help maybe relax me a bit about the situation

@Familyfirst12 trying to chill is impossible! I have a busy few weeks with work coming up which I am hoping will take my mind off it
