1dpo - Anyone want to join during the two week wait?

Hi all, currently 1dpo. Hoping for a lucky month. I lost my twin boys a few months ago at 29 weeks due to TTTS. Two days before this I had a beautiful scan and two perfect babies - only 6 weeks away from c-section. And two days after my scan - our world fell apart. I had no movement and all of a sudden, I was told one of my babies had no heartbeat and then four days later, we had to remove life support from his twin brother as he was so ill. My sons were beautiful, visually perfect babies who were so unlucky. I miss them terribly.

So Here I am 1dpo and hoping for the best. Would love the support from any other hopeful ladies and in turn I'll support ye too. Much luck to us all 😀

Sorry @Om0 , fingers crossed for you this month 🤞🏻

@Ella31 @Beanie14 I suspect you may be right in me not thinking of it before. Didn't even cross my mind that I may have just missed it!

Thank you both & @Brianna4kd, I was worried about it being a lack of ovulating. You've all massively put my mind at ease so thank you so much 🥰
I just feel a bit silly in all of it because I am still relatively young at 25 and don't really have anyone to talk to about this stuff (don't want to ask mum as want it to be a surprise!) so a lot of it is just learning on my own so I really appreciate the help!

Still no EWCM but just very 'wet' cm 🤨 so pretty suspicious my apps are on the right track this time!

Scratch that - not as accurate this time after all! App suggests today is ovulation day but still no peak 😳

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 22/02/2024 14:28

Sorry to be so annoying with all my questions, but has anyone else found this? I've been ovulation testing but still not had a dark line yet, but when I've added those same tests onto my Premom app, it's suggesting the peak is there even though they're faint lines? Kind of worried me for a minute before I came back down to earth and remembered the line has to be as dark as or darker to be considered peak! I use OneStep but think I'll be moving to Easy@Home next month.

The picture with two is my peak from last month, definitely the darkest line I got out of the lot
The other is from yesterday which is apparently being considered my peak (there is a line there in real life, just very very faint!), even though I had a darker line this morning (which was measured low??)

Yes, I conceived Jan 31st or February 1st the only difference is it was wet. Still white but not all thick and it happened for me. I was concerned that because it wasn’t ewcm that it would not be good conditions for the little swimmers but they swam just fine. Don't feel discouraged at all.

You are so young. Im just gone 33 , I wish I was your age. And wet cm is a good sign, it means you are probably edging towards your fertile days. If I were you, I'd dtd every other day if you can.

Ovulation is such a slow process. I surge really quickly so lh levels are still lowish today. Frustrating but trying to remind myself it'll come around.

OP posts:
Beanie14 · 22/02/2024 15:37

@Ella31 me too! It’s a matter of a few hours from starting to get dark to over so I’ve missed it several times before. I suspect today is my surge day not Monday/Tuesday as the app suggested, lots of CM. So hoping to DTD when OH comes home tomorrow and fingers crossed I haven’t missed it this month.

Im also 33 (34 in April) so hoping to catch soon :) xx

You're ahead of me @Beanie14 , no cm yet so I'd say I'm a few days off. Fingers crossed for you. I'm dtd every other day just in case.

Hi all! CD 14 for me today and have felt massively bloated. Took a OPT tonight and it's a postive 😎

Has anyone else got any ovulation symptoms?

Fab @BabyBorn I'm still testing. Tiny bit of cm but a bit away yet. Two week wait is starting for you so. Xx

I'd ignore the app and trust your eyes. Keep dtd anyway for the next day or two. Oh I wish my ovulation would hurry up, I'm a bit behind you all.

@Ella31 I know, it's really daunting talking to anyone about it because I'm usually made to feel like I'm being ridiculous wanting a second so young, but it's exactly what we're wanting and we're lucky enough to be in a position to welcome it. It feels nice and welcoming being here in this thread though and I'm pretty excited for the journey we're all on 🥰

Thank you & @Brianna4kd I feel a bit better about it now x

Brianna4kd · 22/02/2024 22:27

My ovulation tests were absolutely ridiculously high. No ewcm but I did have intense pain for the very first time ever. Maybe because I hadn’t ovulated for 3 months prior to that. (wasn’t getting a cycle either)

Don't let anyone make you feel that way. You do exactly what's right for you and your family. I'm dying to get pregnant again. I'm technically going for my third after my twins but first living. It's so weird when people ask. Like I do have two sons just not here on earth. But I'm dying to take care of a baby , my baby. I think caring for my surviving twin in his last hours made me realise how much I want to be a mom again.

Fingers crossed for us @2BabyOrNot2Baby

Wow, they are high. You poor thing. Did you know why your cycle was off. That's great to have high lh though. You are close to your peak hopefully

@Ella31 half & half. I'm just 6 weeks post miscarriage and I've had 4 in the last year. So I'm more anxious of actually falling pregnant than anything for the worry of the same thing! We wasn't going to try initially but I wanted to last minute and only BD the day before ovulation 🥲

I can only tell you that I did fall pregnant straight after my miscarriage last march, now you've probably read my posts on this thread, I did have a terrible loss with my twins at 29 weeks but it had nothing to do with miscarriage or my previous one. It was a rare twin thing so don't ve worried about getting pregnant again. Its very unlikely anything bad would happen. It's a new baby and new pregnancy. 4 is terrible but your happiness is around the corner xx

@Ella31 I'm so sorry for your loss. It's just awful 😢 last October I fell pregnant 6 weeks after my loss and it ended in a blighted ovum. It's just never ending 😢

You have had a terrible time @lifeisawillow3 but here you are still going. This thread is very supportive and talk away. It will happen for you, its not "if" but "when"

I was pregnant and had an etopic in September after the surgery to remove my baby and my left tube I wasn’t ovulating. I guess the trauma of everything just threw things off. Also, I got my peak January 31st and got my first faint positive February 10th. Now I’m just being followed in order to ensure I am not having another etopic. My hcg levels went from 9 to 87 in three days but since then haven’t been necessarily doubling as they should. I am just hoping for a healthy viable pregnancy in the right spot.
