Hello

Looking for fellow mums to be starting their TTC journey :)

I’m officially starting this cycle (currently CD6). Last night was the first time without any contraception (v early but hoping to continue all throughout fertile period). Not gonna lie it felt very strange now the actual TTC has started!

But very excited and wanting to hear from people on this journey too!

No, still no symptoms at all @Dogscanlookup. I did have a tiny, tiny bit of boob pain yesterday, but only for a short while and nothing since.

I did have a positive from the clear blue monitor, but it took until today (15DPO) to get it and I've been having positives since Saturday, so very, very, very slow to detect because I'm obviously producing so little hcg.

Blue dye test and monitor are from this morning, then the other comparison picture is yesterday and today. There's no difference between them, nor from 13DPO. I'm just waiting for a late period at this point.

Totally understand feeling you need a break @Dogscanlookup. This was our second month TTC and will be our second chemical in a row. I don't think I can take any more.

Ah congratulations @ToeBeans24 , I personally wouldn't worry about late implantation. They do say that it's generally 6-10dpo, so if you implanted on 10dpo, you would be unlikely to get a BFP on 12dpo.

And @KittyFantastica if you only got a BFP on the monitor today hopefully this means that HCG is increasing. Absolutely natural to be nervous, I always think that nerves is the other side of the coin to excited and you can't have one without the other. But do also try and let yourself enjoy seeing the BFP too - you deserve it!

CoolSummer89 · 14/02/2024 11:18

I am on 8dpo, trying not to read into things too much. I am annoyed at myself that I didn't pay much attention to my cycle before TTC, as I always had 27-28 day cycles I didn't need to look for signs, I just knew when AF would arrive.

Yesterday I had quite a lot of CM, and I can't for the life of me remember whether I used to get that or not at this part of my cycle. Apart from that I am not feeling out of the ordinary at all, I guess it is still early days but not getting my hopes up!

KittyFantastica · 14/02/2024 11:51

Your user name is appropriate here @CoolSummer89, I think you're being very cool about it!

Extra CM is a good sign apparently! Not something I've had with either of my early pregnancies, which is another reason I believe this one won't be successful. But I think it's a good sign for you at only 8DPO. When are you planning to test?

Dogscanlookup · 14/02/2024 15:21

@KittyFantastica mm it’s very disheartening. I really hope this works out for you. I didn’t have symptoms at all with my first pregnancy apart from my smell went crazy. Boobs didn’t hurt at all so it might not mean anything in that sense.

ToeBeans24 · 14/02/2024 16:57

@Dogscanlookup thank you lovely and I’m sorry that this wasn’t the month for you. Sorry I’ve been putting pics up etc I hope it’s not upset you. Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate it. I hope I’ve offered some reassurance that even at 14dpo you’re still in with a chance of a BFP next month 🤗

That's so interesting @Dogscanlookup, you always hear about people having so many symptoms, but hardly ever hear about pregnancies with few symptoms. After I told my mum about my MC, she told me her only symptom the entire time she was pregnant with me was sickness from six weeks onwards. She had no idea she was pregnant until the first time she threw up.

How are you feeling now?

MRSF2024 · 15/02/2024 07:07

Hi guys!! We've been ttc for a year now. After a mc we decided to just go with the flow and relax it a little. Well we married at the beginning of this month, my period isn't due to another 10 days but after feeling quite sick and extremely tired I decided to test yesterday (Valentine's Day!) and it's POSITIVE!! Going by the flow app we would of conceived on 2nd feb on our wedding night but I'm not sure wether I'd have a positive this soon so I'm insure wether my dates on the app are off. Super excited tho and really wanting to tell someone but after the last Mc we've decided to wait. So I'm on here so I can talk about it to someone!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Dogscanlookup · 15/02/2024 08:17

@KittyFantastica yeah I’ve been pregnant three times (2 ended in MC) and each time symptoms have been minimal! Which doesn’t help my TTW as I don’t have much to go off! I’ve decided to just relax and my main aim this month is to destress. Selling our house atm and work is crazy, so can’t be helping!
@ToeBeans24 Nooo never ever apologise for being excited and sharing your tests! That’s what this group is for and it’s brilliant celebrating positives on here rather than just the negatives 🥰
@MRSF2024 congratulations!! A wedding night baby is so romantic, and deserved after a year of trying! And then to find out on Valentine’s Day, it’s like a real life movie!!

2doggos · 15/02/2024 15:20

@KittyFantastica how are you getting on? Have you done any more tests?

@ToeBeans24 how are you feeling? Did you tell your other half yesterday?

KittyFantastica · 15/02/2024 15:29

I'm having a weird time of it. My FMU tests continue to get lighter and lighter while my second morning urine and afternoon/evening tests continue to get a tiny bit darker. It's very odd and I've never seen this before. I've trawled the internet trying to find answers and see lots of people have this happen, but can never seem to find out the outcome.

First picture is FMU at 7am top and SMU at 10am bottom. Second picture is a Boots test from yesterday evening and a One Step from lunchtime as they'd just arrived and I was curious. Third picture is a Clearblue from same 10am sample as the first picture.

I'm stumped. I'm still leaning toward this being a chemical as I just can't trust so many different results.

How are you feeling @2doggos? And yes, how you doing @ToeBeans24?

2doggos · 15/02/2024 15:36

@KittyFantastica that is very strange? Do you drink a lot in the evening/ through the night?
Your smu tests look really good! Did you end up telling your hubs?

I'm ok, still no symptoms but I've read that they might not kick in until I'm 6 weeks, if I do get any!

I thought the TWW was bad but I think I might go insane in the wait for the first scan 😂

KittyFantastica · 15/02/2024 16:42

@2doggos I did tell hubs on Monday. He was very pleased, but also upset because it's all so fragile and neither of us feel we can celebrate.

I usually have my last cup of tea about 9pm and nothing else at all until I get up at 7am. I pee several times before bed and I don't drink anything until after I've done a test. If I'm testing SMU, I hold for 3 hours and don't drink anything then either, so today I went from 9pm last night until 10am this morning without a drop. The only thing I can think of is that there is more in my bladder in the morning compared to just a three hour hold and that's where the concentration is better maybe?

I've no symptoms either. Remind me what DPO you had your BFP on and what DPO are you now?

ToeBeans24 · 15/02/2024 18:40

Hey ladies @2doggos @KittyFantastica !

im ok. Yes DP now knows. He was a bit shocked. Think cos we expected (or rather I warned him) it may take several months.

cramping here and there and so tired but otherwise ok. Haven’t done anymore tests since my digital but may do one tomorrow just to check line progression as like you @KittyFantastica i get worried.

funny you say that about the tests tho as certainly the day I got my BFP all 3 tests were PM (afternoon and eve) but the EVE one was darker than the PM!

i do wonder if that’s because I peed and dipped the stick tho rather than using midstream pee. What are you using Kitty?

What day are you on now Kitty? Your lines are deffo darker than they were at your first one which I think was 12dpo??

the line on the first clear blue one I did Tuesday is barely visible now. But the one from yesterday AM is still there.

sadly the digital one has gone. So sad they only stay for 24 hrs. Thank goodness for camera phones 🤭

Also @KittyFantastica not sure if this will relieve any anxiety or not as I still am, however with my first pregnancy (unplanned) I was still tracking all my cycle symptoms on Fitbit. I know I implanted on 8dpo because I logged spotting for days 8+9 dpo.

i was oblivious i was pregnant (had coil in!!) so wasn’t ever thinking symptoms were pregnancy. I did log sore boobs but that didn’t start until 18dpo! Which was 10 days post implantation! I log everything accurately even pre TTC so I’m certain of the dates and symptoms ! Also as it was pre TTC I can be sure I wasn’t symptom spotting 🤭

so I don’t think not having symptoms at this stage is too much of a concern.

Thanks so much for sharing that @ToeBeans24! It's so interesting how every person seems to experience a variation of the same condition. I really appreciate you taking the time to remember that and share it.

My first test was 11DPO (I'm 16DPO now) and that was a squinter. They certainly have progressed if I look at the SMU ones, but the FMU ones still really worry me. Todays was so much fainted than all the others. I just can't relax. I haven't even self referred yet as last time I'd only self referred two days before I noticed my tests get lighter and my symptoms disappear.

I tend to dip them as I use the strips mainly and it's very difficult to aim without flooding them 🤣.

I didn't realise the digital weeks tests disappear after 24 hours. If you want one that lasts a bit longer, the early Clearblue digitals that don't tell you how many weeks last for 6 months!

2doggos · 15/02/2024 20:13

@KittyFantastica I'm sure I've read somewhere that lots of people get stronger positives with smu or evening urine.

I'm 17dpo now and I think I got my first vvfl at 9dpo

I've ordered another digital test that I'm going to do at the weekend to see if the weeks have gone up

ToeBeans24 · 16/02/2024 08:09

Have you done a digital one yet @KittyFantastica ?

i think i may do another digi one in a week or 2 like you @2doggos.

this is mine from this morning. I am wondering if I ovd later than thought. I think I’m 16-17dpo today but maybe in earlier ?

POAS this morning with FMU. Have compared it to Tuesday eves test. To me it’s still super faint for 16/17dpo that’s why I think my dates are wrong. But it’s still darker than Tuesday right?

Those lines look fantastic for three days progression @ToeBeans24. If you only got your positive on Tuesday, they're darkening really well for such a short space of time. What did you use to confirm ovulation? I have heard that sometimes the body can surge more than once and ovulate the second time.

I did do a digital yesterday and it said 1-2 weeks. I was certain it should say 2-3 weeks by now, but I then read a load of stuff online that says they're difficult to trust for accuracy. I had a pack of two from last time I was pregnant and got another pack this time, so I've now got one left. I'll leave it a while and do it if I feel brave enough in a week or so.

Picture attached is yesterday's FMU (top) and today's (bottom). It's the darkest I've had thus far from FMU, though still faint for 17DPO. I'm reluctant to relax yet. I don't know what it would take at the moment to be honest!
