Hello

Looking for fellow mums to be starting their TTC journey :)

I’m officially starting this cycle (currently CD6). Last night was the first time without any contraception (v early but hoping to continue all throughout fertile period). Not gonna lie it felt very strange now the actual TTC has started!

But very excited and wanting to hear from people on this journey too!

@2doggos omg this is the best news!!! Huge congratulations to you 💜
@ToeBeans24 ah I’m sorry about your test. I’m 34 (nearly 35) so I’m prepared it’ll take longer.

ToeBeans24 · 11/02/2024 11:58

@Dogscanlookup we are in this together ! What cycle are you on now? And do you do any OPKs or temp testing? I don’t at the mo. This was only cycle 1 so don’t want to get too consumed by everything. Feel sad tho 😞

@ToeBeans24 sorry to hear about your bfn, have you got any AF symptoms?

@Dogscanlookup thank you !! We're so excited! Now got to try hide it from everyone 😂 my DP's mum is convinced she will know when I'm pregnant so I'm determined to keep it a surprise

ToeBeans24 · 11/02/2024 13:23

@2doggos haha that’s sometimes the hardest bit isn’t it ! I love my wine and coffee and I’m known for it so as soon as I can’t have either of those people will start guessing 🤭

no AF symptoms. Due in 2 days according to apps and time of ov. Feel a bit moody but that may be because if bfn!

how are you feeling?? And had the spotting slowed at all? When I conceived unexpectedly a few years back (coil in situ!!) I had spotting for about a week or so. I thought Covid had messed my period up as never imagined I’d be pregnant ! But was told it was normal so hopefully yours settles soon x

@ToeBeans24 I'm not really a big drinker but my DP is having a 30th in a few weeks so gonna have to stay on soft drinks and act drunk 😂

The spotting stopped after 2/3 days. I was convinced it was AF. Only other symptom I've had is the lack of AF cramps, I just had sharp twinges.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you!

KittyFantastica · 11/02/2024 15:18

Hi all. I'm back with a little news. I said I'd test on 12DPO and, even though I've had no symptoms at all and felt very depressed about it on Friday, I decided to stick to the pact I made. I don't really know what made me test today besides that. I've had no symptoms. Still none. Not a single one.

I had an early loss in January and felt implantation strongly that time, so all I feel right now is shock and anxiety. I'm desperately hoping for the best, but all too aware of the worst that can happen.

I don't know whether to tell hubs or not as last time was such a lot of hope and happiness to be squashed so quickly. What would you do? All I can think about is how faint that line is. My lines never really darkened before and I've seen so many much darker positives at 12DPO from other people.

For reference, I'm 35, cycle 2 of TTC (cycle 1 ended with a loss), and totally in shock.

@KittyFantastica congratulations! Understandable that you are apprehensive. I would tell your hubs, it's such a lonely journey as it is and you can support each other.

Keeping everything crossed that your line continues to darken x

ToeBeans24 · 11/02/2024 17:54

@KittyFantastica congratulations !! I can imagine why you feel apprehensive but I do agree letting hubs know may be best so you can someone to talk to x

@KittyFantastica oh this is such good news!! So so pleased for you!
@ToeBeans24 this was our third month trying. The longest it’s taken us to get pregnant has been four months. Fell pregnant with DD after one month, but I was 31 then. This time round so many more problem!
Yeah I use OPKs. Expensive but I like knowing exactly what my cycle is doing and what DPO I am. Plus this time the minute I find out I’m pregnant I need to take these progesterone tablets because of previous MCs so I want to know as soon as poss!
hopefully next month will be our month and we’ll be in sync again!

ToeBeans24 · 11/02/2024 20:28

@Dogscanlookup sorry to hear about your MC. Deffo sounds a good plan to keep using OPKs so you know asap. Wishing you lots of luck.

yes let’s try and stay in touch. It’s such a lonely thing to go through isn’t it! Especially as we don’t want family knowing we are trying as it just adds pressure / expectation.

did AF come in the end after your spotting ? Hope the wedding was good fun!

Dogscanlookup · 12/02/2024 10:08

@ToeBeans24 yeah it really is a lonely journey at times, and I came here so my partner doesn’t have to be the only one to put up with me talking about it all the time 😂 no show of AF yet, spotting has got heavier. Bit different this month but maybe because I was taking B6?
wedding was lovely and at least I could drink!

Do you also use OPKs? Also enjoying coffee and wine for the next two weeks 😂 also my weakness so I’m focusing on the little positives ha

ToeBeans24 · 12/02/2024 10:13

@Dogscanlookup haha exactly the same as me. DP is a willing participant but too much talk and I’m worried it causes stress !

when is your AF due? Mine is due tomorrow and felt crappy and crampy yesterday eve and today. Oh well, at least it’s back in sync as I had a funny random long month last month but think that’s because I was sick.

yay to wine and coffee 🤭

im not doing any OPKs yet. Mainly because I know I’m quite an anxious person so trying to go with the flow as best as possible. I guess it may give me more control but I know I may spiral and get obsessed. I plan on trying for 3 months and if no luck I’ll try them.

OP posts:
Dogscanlookup · 12/02/2024 12:51

@ToeBeans24 exactly that! Plus I love that here everyone gets it when you talk about all the TMI stuff. My partner has no idea when I try explaining (and probably doesn’t want to know 😂)
AF arrived today. 28 day cycle. I’m usually 29 but I usually ovulate a little later so makes sense! So maybe we will be in sync again if you due any time now!
I think it’s sensible to have a logical time line and you know yourself and what keeps you calm so trust that! I never wanted to use OPKs because it feels so official! But now I’m used to it, just part of life ha.

2doggos · 13/02/2024 13:52

@KittyFantastica how are you getting on lovely? Did you retest?

ToeBeans24 · 13/02/2024 14:05

AF due today and no show. But moody and crampy so I’m sure she’ll be here tomorrow if not today!

how’s everyone doing?

Nothing to really report from me, sadly. My tests aren't progressing the way they should. I have one ever so slightly tender boob and a super mild achey belly, but nothing I would associate with pregnancy, really.

My tests have barely got darker and today is 14DPO, so they should be blazing positives. There has been a tiny bit of progression from the squinter I got on Saturday, but nothing promising. I feel as though I'm just waiting for the inevitable at the moment.

How are you feeling @2doggos?

@KittyFantastica I think your lines look great! ❤

Ash4317 · 13/02/2024 14:28

Me too @KittyFantastica ! Did you take a digital test? ❤️

2doggos · 13/02/2024 14:29

@KittyFantastica there's definitely progression! Are you going to keep testing?
I really hope it's a sticky bean for you 🤞🏼

I did a test yesterday morning and tbh I thought my line would be really dark but it wasn't, still the darkest I've had so far so there's definitely progression.

I haven't had any symptoms other than the odd cramp here and there.

@ToeBeans24 Thought I'd tag you in this too to give you an update. Hope AF arrives for you soon, I was the same last month, had lots of cramping but still took 2/3 days for her to show up.

ToeBeans24 · 13/02/2024 14:52

So happy for you both! @KittyFantastica i also see progression !

thanks @2doggos mine was late 3-4 days last month so we will see!

KittyFantastica · 13/02/2024 15:02

@WonderingAboutBabies Thank you, lovely. To me they look too much like my chemical lines. They should be blazing by now as my period is a day late.

@Ash4317 I did, I took an early digital on Saturday, three days before I was due on and it was negative despite the faint lines.

@2doggos Do you have any pictures? Or have you been really sensible and not tested any more? It's a compulsion for me now because I can't feel anything happening.

@ToeBeans24 Thank you, I do agree there's a bit of progression, but I don't believe it's a sticky one. Those lines should be blazing. I've had barely visible lines on Clearblue earlies. It's just not growing fast enough.

ToeBeans24 · 13/02/2024 15:09

Ladies can I ask for help. Have a got line eyes. Hard in photos but it does have colour. Did it on a whim as no AF but also not FMU. The one I did on Sunday had a line but looked white so presumed indent.

@ToeBeans24 I definitely see something!!

ToeBeans24 · 13/02/2024 15:15

Better picture. Shouldn’t it be darker tho if AF due today/tomoz?!
