Looking for fellow mums to be starting their TTC journey :)

I’m officially starting this cycle (currently CD6). Last night was the first time without any contraception (v early but hoping to continue all throughout fertile period). Not gonna lie it felt very strange now the actual TTC has started!

But very excited and wanting to hear from people on this journey too!

@KittyFantastica Your line this morning looks really good. Do you think you could have implanted later and that's why you've had faint lines even though you're the same dpo as me? I think I implanted around 7dpo as that's when I had the twinges and the spotting. Same with @ToeBeans24 do you think yours could be later implantation?

I confirmed ovulation with four different methods, two machines and two different brands of OPK, so I'm pretty sure ovulation is accurate. I really just don't know what's happening, but I'm praying these lines keep getting darker 🤞

i didn’t use OPKs so literally went by EWCM. I thought I ovd on 30th. Had EWCM until 31st tho so could’ve been then. Or is ov 48hrs after EWCM? I’m new to all this still! It’s alien !!!

yes @2doggos I agree, think I either ovd or implanted late. Didn’t get any spotting this time with implantation so hard to measure!

Ohh, interesting @ToeBeans24! I looked at what I logged and for the last few months and I logged EWCM 3-4 days before ovulation every month since September.

I also just did my SMU experiment. I don't want to say I have relaxed... but I can finally say we have progression!

im so tired it’s ridiculous and now have sore boobs. Cramps have continued daily since BFP with now pulling sensations ! Otherwise I’m good 🫣😂

Hiya @ToeBeans24! Still no particular symptoms for me, so I'm keeping level-headed about it still. I've had one slightly sore boob and that's about it 🤣. I did have to go to bed at 10pm for the last few nights, which is unlike me as I'm usually a night owl, but that's all I can really think of.

It sounds as though you've got plenty going on in there! Have you referred to maternity care yet? Feel free to come and join the October 2024 pregnancy thread where there are lots of us in the same boat :).

I referred but for some weird reason they say I’m out of area so I need to self refer to another hospital (further away 🤔), be seen, then transfer back to the hospital I’m actually closer to.

may give them a call before doing this tho!

we have booked a private scan too. Think I’ll be 6w5d but I expect may be earlier on the scan. We will see!

Hey @ToeBeans24 I'm doing ok, only symptoms for me is that I feel a bit bloated.

I've also booked a private scan, I think I will be 7w5d when I have it. I'm going to join the Oct 24 pregnancy thread too so will hopefully be able to keep in touch with each other on there!

Yay! I’m only going to be 6w5d at my scan. Possibly less so I’m not sure what to think !

ladies 😔 my symptoms have been progressing but this evening I had the tiniest bit of spotting when I wiped so went out to get tests to check progression.

sadly a digital saying not pregnant and no line at all on supermarket one 💔. Absolutely devastated. I know my pee was extremely diluted but at 4w6d I wouldn’t expect to see a not pregnant unless I was experiencing a chemical.

Hi, can I join? I'm 38 now, trying to conceive #1 on cycle 9. @Bex4567 and @EvelynKatie your stories resonated with me. How are you doing now (I admit I haven't read the full thread all the way through)?

Now 10dpo and no symptoms other than usual pre-menstrual, so I know I'm out.

Really happy to see all those who have had BFPs!

@CatCaretaker im in cycle 9 now and still trying! Sadly just in the run up to ovulation I’ve had a sciatica flare up that was very painful so I’ve ended up needing to take ibuprofen. Waiting to see now if it’s impacted ovulation, which should be today really. Will see my temp tomorrow!
I know the feeling of 10 DPO and no symptoms and just having that “feeling” of it being a BFN month, but you never know until AF shows.

Please look after yourself. Lean on your support system as much as you need, let yourself feel it all and think about it as often as you need or want to (or not). It took several weeks, but we were eventually able to talk about it without getting as upset and we were able to talk about our early hopes and the story of how I told Hubs, etc. It took time, but I can now look back on those first few days of my first pregnancy with fondness. We weren't expecting to feel ready to try again so soon, but seeing those very first positives felt like such a gift, we knew we could do it because of that first little line and it felt right to go ahead. Take your time and do what's right for you.

Is this postive ovulation test just took around an hour ago but can do the deed until this evening have I missed it? 🙈

@ToeBeans24 so sorry. Thinking of you. The initial excitement to turn into such heartbreaking dissappointment must be awful.

Thank you all. Im absolutely broken. But trying to find the positives. It was only month 1 of trying. I had my thoughts about why the tests were so faint to begin with and sadly that was correct. Despite trying to remain positive.

We are devastated but hopefully will be out time soon ❤️

I'm going into cycle 8 now...feel so deflated have given up don't track anything now and just going with the flow....its so hard

I am in my 4th month of TTC, my period is a day late so tested this morning. The test did not show a line at first but then I have looked again this evening and I can see a very faint line. What do we think? X

Hi @JG89 if it came up after the recommended 10 minutes, I wouldn't trust it fully. Try again in the morning with your first wee of the day! Fingers crossed for you!
