if you are still awaiting the arrival of your period ( or af as some of you insist on calling it) there is NO way of knowing you are up the duff. all so called early pregnancy symtoms are pretty much the same as being premenstral.

crampy draggy feelings - tick
change in mucus - tick
nausea and light headedness - tick
bubbly feelings - you have wind

i could go on. i am not being mean but i would like to share my experiences over the past couple of years.

just wait and see!

wow, that is certainly good sign!

when r u going to test?

beaniesteve · 24/03/2008 12:46

Don't know as I have already had 4 negative tests I feel like it would be silly to keep testing over and over. Maybe I'll wait til Wed/thurs as I will be a week overdue. I need to get on with stuff and try to forget that I might be pregnant....

Heron23 · 24/03/2008 12:48

oh that has got to be frustrating! i was reading www.twoweekwait.com and there was this lady who did not test positive until she was a week late!

so try keep yourself occupied with other things!

what about symptoms?

beaniesteve · 24/03/2008 12:52

none at all. Not that I can really put my finger on. I have a few twinges in the right side of my abdomen, just happened now infact, but nothing more really.

Heron23 · 24/03/2008 12:58

which hpt did you use? i got the cheapie ones from www.babymad.com. claims to be ultrasensitive...

beaniesteve · 24/03/2008 13:01

Sainsbury, tesco and a couple from Wilkinsons!

right - I am going to go and do something to take my mind off things! Good luck for Wed/thurs. Maybe we'll both have some good news

Heron23 · 24/03/2008 13:03

u too!

MrsPLondon · 25/03/2008 18:13

I hope it works out for you guys. All I can add is even if it is a positive test, try (impossible I know) not to get too excited. We have been trying for 6 months and had a positive test last month. i was absolutely elated, only to get my period 3 days later. I'm still devastated and don't know what I'll do if something doesn't happen soon.

I'm sure lots of posters have much worse experiences but I'm having trouble staying positive right now!

Heron23 · 25/03/2008 18:23

MrsP, that is terrible, when a +ve becomes -ve

are you ttc again? it is hard to not be -ve, i know!

MrsPLondon · 26/03/2008 10:24

We've jumped straight back in - and have another week to wait until AF is due, so have got lots of fingers crossed (bit difficult to carry on typing!). Thank God for this site makes me realise it's not just me which helps loads.

pinkmook · 26/03/2008 13:30

I love this thread! I am sat here wiping tears of mirth away!

Can we also give mention to the bloody obsession with charting and ovulating?

I am currently trying to work out when I ovulate and going fecking mental.....oh could that be a touch of mittleschmirtz I feel - er no, its just trapped wind from all the nuts I ate last night (thats actual nuts not DH nuts )

Heron23 · 26/03/2008 17:54

it is all bloody hilarious, i am so obsessed, just been doing the minimal at home. i have so many other things to do but cant focus

i am now trying to decide whether to test or not. AF is due today but not here! i know AF can come later. i am scared to go to the loo to do a wee, even though i am busting

pinkmook · 26/03/2008 18:00

my day seems to consist mainly of inputting data into my FF chart and overlaying it against other peoples trying to glean some undefinable clue that 1) I am pregnant or 2) I am actually ferile/ovulating and not like I secretly believe - unable to ahve any more!!!Gaaaaahhhh is pants but ridiculous and funny too in a dark/sad way.

Heron23 · 26/03/2008 18:06

pinkmook, have u tried using clearblue fertilty monitor? i used it this month for our 1st cycle and found it really easy to use. plus the monitor stores your info for use in future cycles, if required

pinkmook · 26/03/2008 18:20

I have a persona and I chart using ff online ( at high level of obsessiveness this clearly shows I have!!) Have you been ttc long heron23?

Heron23 · 27/03/2008 09:04

hi pinkmook, this is our first month ttc.
looks like AF got me today. just a light one, so i am hoping that it will go away today cos i still have sore boobs - which is not normal.

if it is AF, then i am not too upset, try again next month, in the meantime, i have DS's birthday party to organise!

how about u, how long have u been trying?

pinkmook · 27/03/2008 09:25

stopped taking the pill last october (2007) and started using monitor/charting january 08. Gaaaah I am so impatient! Why cant I be one of those people who just goes "ah I think I will have a baby this month" and gets pregnant straight away! poop. Good luck for your next cycle! Ignore me I am slightly obsessed 6 months down the line!

Heron23 · 27/03/2008 09:35

are you ttc #1? or 2 or 3?

i just did a hpt and it was -ve

so i think i will have to accept defeat

i have just reset my fertility monitor to day 1.

pinkmook · 02/04/2008 18:40

I am TTC2 and getting fed up! Is this number 2 for you?

Heron23 · 03/04/2008 10:29

hi pink, yes it is #2 for me.
i am starting to get fed up as well even though it is only cycle 2. on dy8 now. using clearblue fertility monitor. i try to keep myself busy so i do not dwell on it so much.
i get so jealous looking at other new mums with tiny little babies...

beaniesteve · 03/04/2008 14:50

ok - here;s one.

When a pregnancy test gives you a BFN it's 'rubbish'

when it gives you a BFP then it suddenly becomes an amazing piece of technology
