Congratulations you 2. Hope the bfps are catching. Xx

FantasticalCat · 27/01/2024 19:13

@4LeafCloverBaby interesting that your digital test says 2-3 weeks and mine said 1-2, yet we ovulated at the same time??

the only thing I can think is that I tested in the evening to validate the cheapie east at home as husband wasn’t convinced! I had to drink a pint of water so maybe the HCG levels were diluted?

Racket81 · 27/01/2024 19:16

So many people.sayimg we should go get tested again for fertility etc which I am finding really hard to take as it's ckear we can get pregnant as I had a miscarriage in July 2023. I know they are only trying.g to help I just want us to fall naturally again. Putting house on market soon and gonna rent to release equity as I habe debt I need to pay off and can use money for ivf too if need be just hoping the accupuncture works first while trying to sell.. x

4LeafCloverBaby · 27/01/2024 19:38

@FantasticalCat Yes I reckon that’s probably it. although I am 2 wks 1 day pregnant so I guess 2 to 3 weeks is correct

@Racket81 I’m sorry you’re feeling frustrated. I guess people are suggesting that because maybe something has changed in the last 6 months?

Thank you so much @Boatlifelover and @KittyFantastica 🥰 it’s starting to sink in now and I’m getting excited!

@Cazzy87 not too long to go, are you going to try SMEP this cycle?

Cazzy87 · 27/01/2024 21:31

I would but other half doesn't like to do it every day as he feels a bit used and I know someone has said it before but he feels like that's all he is being used for 🙈🙁 and I don't want to make him feel like that really!

Lowrilawson · 27/01/2024 21:34

@Cazzy87 Awh I'm lucky mine has a high drive but never forces me if I don't want to, he's a diamond, he has researched ovulation so he asks me everyday, is now a good time to try ahah xx

KittyFantastica · 28/01/2024 09:51

It's so lovely to see these bfps coming in. Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for theirs.

I'm still waiting to ovulate. I know my cycle could be (and probably will be) a bit off after my chemical, but I've always been so regular I was hoping for a miracle that it would just go back to normal. I'm CD15 and no rises or sign of ovulation in sight. I have been testing two or three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening), but only the mid-morning results are showing anything visible. I know it's still early, it's just unusual for me and I'm both a worrier and impatient 😂.

Not usual circumstances, so I need to just accept it. My own birthday is October and I love it, but I don't really know anyone else with an October birthday! After the heartbreak of the chemical, where my due date was our wedding anniversary, a little October baby was a dream for me.

I've never used the strips before, so I'm not sure if they really look right or if they get gradually darker or if they could stay like my current ones and then suddenly get really dark out of nowhere. We have decided to DTD every other day this month to cover the bases just in case. Last month we DTD three days on and one day off around when I would usually ovulate and it worked.

Racket81 · 28/01/2024 10:12

Yes I guess so. Never mind I just desperately want that bfp. Before the miscarriage I was like sort of content I the feeling that it might not happen due to my age and that if it does its a bonus. But now knowing I can get pregnant kind of makes me want it even more. We are never happy are we. Just gotta keep going.

FantasticalCat · 28/01/2024 16:15

@Cazzy87 ahhh my husband was the same, he wanted to keep things relatively relaxed for a few months before we really ramped up to a more clinical, SMEP style of DTD!

@KittyFantastica if it helps, my ovulation sticks stayed similar to yours ie very pale then the surge hit on one day and it instantly went very dark out of nowhere. How long is your cycle usually? X

KittyFantastica · 28/01/2024 18:57

Thanks, @FantasticalCat that's helpful to know. I think I expected them to get darker gradually. The lines are visible, so I must be making some of the hormone, so it does make sense that it's there and ready to surge. I feel so impatient!

My cycle is usually 27/28 days, ovulation usually day 13 or 14. I'm on day 15 now and no sign. We'll just keep DTD as much as we want to, probably every other day, and try to relax for this cycle. After the chemical earlier this month, my cycle could be different and I don't want to obsess. If it happens it happens and if it doesn't then hopefully things will be back to normal for February.

Please keep us updated on how you're doing!

Cazzy87 · 28/01/2024 20:43

Yeh I try to dtd regularly still when it's not my fertile time just so he doesn't think that! Fertile time is coming thurs onwards I think so plan is to dtd every other day which I hope will be enough!

4LeafCloverBaby · 28/01/2024 20:58

@Cazzy87 I don’t know why but I really have a feeling that the time that worked for me was the next morning after ovulation day.
