TWW - 2DPO who's with me?

Just seeing if anyone else is in the dreaded TWW. Currently 2DPO going by my flo app (I haven't actually tested for ovulation).

Quite a few days still left until I can test yet (due to the trigger injection with iui which can cause a false positive if I test within 14 days). Not sure how I'm feeling currently. If people have been pregnant before did they "feel" pregnant? I can't quite tell how I feel. Just really don't want AF to start in the next few days but will just have to see 🤞

Possible - yes and I’d love a Christmas miracle but I know once I get to the miracle over the science odds, that’s not the best for my mental health. Grieve and then have the space to plan the next steps is far healthier for me .

with my daughter - I was exhausted but I was on super high progesterone so who knows. And I’d be really hungry at night . Other than that that, nothing. I could have been on ‘ I didn’t know I was pregnant’ if it wasn’t for the ivf trauma that preceded it .

@MarieeeG Sorry to hear that AF showed up early - make sure you really indulge in all those Christmas treats that are off the menu if you're pregnant. Charcuterie, soft cheese, bubbly, have all of it!

yesterday I got 3 very faint lines on different branded tests and today the same. Using Superdrug’s own, I read they take a while to get darker. No pics as I vow to myself to throw them away after the time frame…
Fingers crossed tomorrow we have a stronger line!

I was up at 3am today (I’d drank a fair amount, assuming I was totally out this month. I just didn’t “feel” anything, like I have done with prior pregnancies… 🤦🏻‍♀️) and I got this….. ?!? Omfg?!! Still v faint. Convinced myself I was seeing things but several confirmations from people that my eyes aren't deceiving me? Shiiiiiit 😍

also, @strawberrylaces12, this is confirmation that you absolutely can feel “nothing” and not at all pregnant, and still get a positive so unless AF comes, please keep the faith 🤞🏻❤️

I've had a small bit of brown spotting this afternoon. I never normally have spotting and AF usually starts red. Really hoping it's implantation bleeding and not AF early which is due in a couple of days 🤞 I'm 12DPPO I think. Just really hoping but keeping realistic as it is our first iui attempt.

Can I join? I am 2dpo today. 1st cycle trying for my second. My little girl is 2 and just over the birth and the newborn stage so finally brave enough to try for another

I’m so sorry you had a traumatic birth. I had one with my eldest, it still sticks with me 😔 so I empathise completely. If it’s any consolation, my second’s birth was the most magical, lovely, empowering experience. It was the polar opposite of my firsts and I didn’t think it would ever be possible to sort of “re-write” that trauma. I hope that gives you some hope?

@3ornotto3 I am hoping that my next experience is more positive. I have been told your body is more likely to know what it is doing next time, not sure if that is true but hoping it is. I was failing to progress and my daughter's heart rate kept dipping so I was put on pitocin which I really regret and will avoid like the plague next time. I ended up with an emergency c section which of course has pros and cons.

I know I can only talk from my own experiences, so feel free to tell me to shut up if none of this appeals or applies to you or your headspace, but I found having positive birth affirmations dotted around our house from 4 months really helped me, and also eating 4 dates a day from 36 weeks. My first I had to be induced, but my second came two weeks early by spontaneous labour. I can’t say for definite if it was the dates that helped, but I like to assume it was.

Unfortunately AF arrived today so I'm out this month. Weird that I had the brown spotting yesterday though, I never get that before AF. It was our first IUI attempt so chances were pretty slim. Onto the next month hopefully 🤞

After a couple of squinters today I have a line at 12dpo!

Awww congrats! That's a good line!! You must be delighted. Can I ask if you had tested before 12dpo? Or is it the first time you've tested?

Yes 😂 I’ve been testing since 9DPO - got a vfl 10dpo and 11dpo … today is the first day it’s a proper red line :)

Amazing news. Huge congrats 🎉💖 I'm 8dpo today so hoping I see a BFP in the next few days 🤞🏼 keep convincing myself that because I haven't seen one yet I must not be pregnant but still early days 🤞🏼

@3ornotto3 thank you! Wow AF is heavy with clots in today (sorry if tmi), heavier than normal. But yeah, we'll hopefully have another IUI attempt next month 😊

@strawberrylaces12 Progesterone is a b*tch! Honestly tempted to ask if I can do the next cycle without it - it’s just adding insult to injury . Like great - I failed to have a baby and now I have a period which is literally worse than actual labour.

@IMBCRound2 oh I didn't have any additional progesterone, unless it's in the trigger injection? I thought that was HCG? But if progesterone is in it too that could explain the heavier period?

Thankfully I've had my progesterone blood test results back which confirm ovulation so that's good. Onto the next cycle next month hopefully 🤞

@strawberrylaces12 Sorry to hear you're out this month - I am too, AF arrived a bit early. I didn't have high hopes this cycle as I've been ill so it's not as crushing as last month, but still disappointing. Agreed with my husband that if it didn't work this cycle we'd book a skiing holiday so I'm researching holidays today to cheer myself up!

pretty sure you are right and it’s just hcg. My clinic prescribes extra progesterone- vile little suppositories that mimic the symptoms of pregnancy just to really mess with your head. But they keep your lining thick and delay your period so your period ends up being horrible and doesn’t actually start until you stop them. I’m still waiting to hear from my clinic and I’m in so much pain I just want to be sick.

@CluelessInLondon aww sorry to hear that you're out this month too. Great idea about the skiing holiday! Exciting, where abouts are you looking to go? My wife and I said that if we have a number of unsuccessful cycles then we'll skip a month and go on holiday maybe like an all inclusive for a week or something. But will see how things go. Instead for now I'm enjoying things like an occasional drink, caffeine, cream cheese and smoked salmon sandwiches etc. 🥰 got to make the most out of a not so nice situation!

@IMBCRound2 aww yeah I was told that even just the trigger shot can mimic early pregnancy symptoms (it gave bad nausea etc.) so I can't imagine how horrible it must be with other hormones on top too! Gosh I hope you hear back soon and things improve. Is there anything that helps?
