Anyone want to give each other support? TTC November 2023 TWW

Hi, alI!

I thought it would be really nice to start a new thread. This thread is dedicated to those TTC in November 2023. We can give each other advice, talk through our emotions (because sometimes, hearing from another woman is so helpful!), and at the end of the cycle - update on pregnancy test results.

I'll introduce myself real quick. Feel free to do the same.

My name is Kelsey. I'm 26. I'm from Ireland. I've been engaged to my fiancé, Sean, since September. We started dating in December 2022 (when ya know, ya know!!). We have been trying to conceive since I came off the pill in May. I was only on it since December 2022. Unfortunately, we received a false positive Clearblue digital in June :(. So this TTC journey has been very stressful. I have PCOS and irregular cycles but something seems to be switching up in me.

My last period started October 19th.
I feel I ovulated on Halloween night. We DTD the day before and the day of. It's the first time I've caught ovulation so perfectly.

If going by 28 day cycle since I ovulated on time, my period is expected November 16th. I am so nervous as I want a baby so badly. Something in me is telling me this cycle is different but that little voice in my mind is telling me I'm not pregnant and I'm wrong. I guess we'll see.

Symptoms so far:
Ovary pain (but I have that almost every day anyway)
Backache
And then....nothing.
Which is unusual for me as my PMS symptoms usually begin 2 weeks before my period (whether I end up bleeding or not lol). I often feel nauseas and experience cramping. Nothing so far.
Also, currently 3dpo.

Let's keep each other entertained during that TTW.

Good luck, everyone!!!

@Pupsandturtles I think if youre pregnant it shows up on any test - that line doesnt look really faint its quite noticable- maybe try a clearblue? Im not sure you can get FR anywhere x

LuceNumberTwo · 15/11/2023 14:40

@Outliers utliers oh my god! That's so exciting 🤞 for a sticky one!! 💖💖

@H938 I wouldn't look passed easy at home, they've worked well for me with each pregnancy... I'm actually finding wondflo to be terrible for indents, they dry really odd!!!

@Pupsandturtles looks positive to me also! 🤞🤞 ohhh this is super exciting! Are you in the UK? Amazon only sell FRER in a triple check - an early, a rapid response & digital, its about £20... Also for some unknown reason Ilthe shops have stopped selling them. Don't know if there was an issue etc!

Keep these lines coming ladies! I love to see it 💖💖

LuceNumberTwo · 15/11/2023 14:44

@emmatcc1 You've got this! 💖 come on here every day & tell us about your days etc 🤣

Sorry @H938 I replied to you about premom & easy at home - I meant the ovulation sticks are good too, as well as the pregnancy tests.
I've always used the easy at home ovu tests, alongside clearblue digital.. Because one isn't the brightest light on the Christmas tree & a total paranoid wreck that I have to see it in black & white 🤣🙈

Pupsandturtles · 15/11/2023 15:24

@LuceNumberTwo i managed to find an early detection CB in a shop, it was positive. But the regular CBs (the ones that show the number of weeks) are all negative….

eek!

so, maybe too early, maybe chemical…

LuceNumberTwo · 15/11/2023 15:26

@Pupsandturtles Aww well 🤞🤞 too early for the digital! Maybe give it a couple of days? Bloody that's all your ever told.. wait wait.. Its a nightmare! Keeping everything crossed sweet 💖 xx

H938 · 15/11/2023 15:44

@LuceNumberTwo I will start those then next week! Hopefully it works. Keep me posted if you test again xx

ButterflySkies · 15/11/2023 21:37

@H938 and @rainyskylight im sorry this wasn't the month, hope you're both doing ok and lots of babydust for a couple of weeks time x

@Outliers @Pupsandturtles so excited for you both, they are definitely lines, absolutely everything crossed that the line progression comes. How are you feeling now @Outliers?

and for fingers crossed for you too @LuceNumberTwo , you’re still testing so early!

@Saffycat92 @LuceNumberTwo i think we are due AF around the same time. When are we testing? I did manage to show some self restraint today, I figured there was no point testing as my DD decided to try and get up for the day at 2am (wtf, weve been sleeping through for ages!) and i obvs had to wee before i went back to bed myself haha had to remind myself my tiredness today didnt count for symptom spotting! xx

Queenie901 · 15/11/2023 22:44

Great news on the positives @Outliers and @Pupsandturtles! Everything crossed for you!

I think af arrived today 🙄 I say I think because it's very light for me - a tiny bit on a pad but more when I wipe... too late to be implantation unless I ovulated wayyy later than I thought? Guess I'll have to see over the next few days but at least I'll know my likely dates for next ovulation if it is!

Hoping everyone else gets their BFP's 💕💕

Outliers · 15/11/2023 23:49

@ButterflySkies feeling cautiously optimistic. I've taken a couple more tests that have come up positive a bit more quickly, so now the reality is starting to set in. Planning to test with a ClearBlue Fri morning when my period is due.

Had a moment of anxiety for various reasons, but ultimately I'm thankful - just hope things continue to progress well over the coming weeks/ months.

Currently don't really have any symptoms, besides just feeling tired. Minor pelvic cramps yday and boobs feel tender (these happen on my period so hard to call them preg symps).

Hope everyone else still waiting gets some BFPs x

Oatmilktea · 16/11/2023 07:12

Morning everyone, I finally tested today and have a BFP! Bought this test on holiday in France when AF was late a few month ago. I’m in absolute shock!

Best of luck to everyone else who is due to test and sending everyone baby dust 💕

CONGRATULATIONS!! such an amazing feeling!!

I've got my ovulation strips, when's best to start testing? My Flo app says my fertility is high today but ovulation 6 days.
Never used strips before so don't know where to start

H938 · 16/11/2023 09:36

@Oatmilktea congratulations!! So happy you got your positive!!

@LuceNumberTwo any updates? X

@Mummy2823 I downloaded premom app and you can upload the ovulation tests in the app so it shows you what day you are ovulating - not actually started yet but the app advises to start on the day after you finish your period x

LuceNumberTwo · 16/11/2023 09:58

@Oatmilktea Wow that's most certainly a BFP!! Congratulations🥳🥳🥰🥰 wishing you a smooth pregnancy🥰

Hey! I took another test this morning, of course.. I still think I can see something but I'm fooling myself.
I've had some cramping, a bit of feeling sick when eating that's all though. Think AF is most likely going to come early.. I'm struggling a bit won't lie, I don't know why I take it so hard. This is the first time since we started that I haven't fallen. Just feels crap! Anyhow, I'm working quite alot this week! Got to just trudge on 💖

Hope you are all good! 🥰 x
@Mummy2823 start testing now, flo is usually quite spot on with my ovu, you should see thr tests start to darken - there will always be 2 lines but the darker they are more fertile! Hope that makes sense x

Oatmilktea · 16/11/2023 10:00

Thanks everyone, it was a BFP immediately I couldn’t believe my eyes. Still in shock now!

therealpatmustard · 16/11/2023 10:08

Hey ladies,

@Oatmilktea @Outliers @Pupsandturtles Congratulations to you all, so so happy for you.

Is anyone else due AF next week? I'm due on the 23rd.

Also a bit of a random question but my LH peak on the opk was on the morning of the 7th so Flo assumed I had ovulated on the 8th, I don't temp so have no way of confirming. But could it be possible that I ovulated later, perhaps the 9th as its between 12-48 hours after LH surge right?

opks are now super faint, I suppose I would be 7 or 8 days past ov, I've used some internet cheapie pregnancy tests today and yesterday but both came back completely white.

Feeling out of the running, even though I know it's too soon to test.
I've officially gone bonkers.

H938 · 16/11/2023 10:12

@LuceNumberTwo ahh I feel for you, I know the feeling! If you do come on early it means you can try again earlier atleast - after my first I had two miscarriages and a chemical, one of them was at 10 weeks and I had to have a blood transfusion and all sorts it was horrendos. After that It made me want baby no 2 even more - literally all of my friends say the same after baby no 1 they miscarry before baby no2 it almost seems common. It will happen though! If not this month, hopefully next month 🤞🏼 which technically is in two weeks time. I know it can be heartbreaking ♥️♥️

therealpatmustard · 16/11/2023 10:34

@LuceNumberTwo

Really sorry you're feeling this way but it's completely understandable, just ride the wave and don't feel bad about feeling down, sometimes we need to sit without our emotions and just feel a little blue.

Pupsandturtles · 16/11/2023 11:02

@Oatmilktea congratulations!

@therealpatmustard yes I think you can definitely ovulate 2d after the start of the peak. I use a Mira and sometimes LH goes on rising for 24 hours or longer- and you ovulate 8-24h after the top of the peak, I believe.

sorry you’re down @LuceNumberTwo - it’s such a rollercoaster, isn’t it. And makes it so hard to focus on anything else.

I’m 16dpo now and my easy@home strips are still very faint, so yesterday I was happy and now I’m feeling nervous…. Ugh!

emmatcc1 · 16/11/2023 11:08

Bbt stayed the same as yesterday and it’s really confusing me. My pre ovulation temps are 36.3 but they have been sitting at 36.5 the past two days. Haven’t checked my cervix yet but I did an ovulation test yesterday and it was pretty dark but negative.

Mummy2823 · 16/11/2023 13:49

@LuceNumberTwo
Thanks for the advice! I tested this morning and was a negative but I've downloaded the Premom app and will upload my photos each day on there.
Sorry to hear you're feeling so down, it is very disheartening when you want something so bad. Do any of your friends or family know you're trying who can support you? Sometimes you need someone other than the other half.
Nobody knows we're trying as DD is only 7 months and don't want them to judge us 😂

ButterflySkies · 16/11/2023 16:38

@Oatmilktea what a positive!!! Amazing news - hope everything from here is super smooth sailing for you

@LuceNumberTwo snap - i tested this morning. Convinced i can see a shadow in a certain light but I know I’m personally wishful thinking. Also feel quite upset today, my DD is being tricksy this week so I had a big old cry in the loo at work. Feel a smidge better for it. Sending a big hand hold and a hug.

@therealpatmustard it’s infuriating isn’t it the TTW, ive driven myself nuts this month!

Assuming I am out as I think I am this month - I think AF is actually going to make an early appearance over here too - how does tracking ovulation with sticks? Ive not done it before so a complete novice! Is it as simple as POAS every morning (though I currently dont ever want to POAS again!)

hope everyone on the thread is doing well too! X

LuceNumberTwo · 16/11/2023 17:28

OK so because I'm totally mental & insane 🤣🙈 I'm starting to just think I might be just doing the tests way to early.. I've actually looked back & my last few clear positives I didn't get until I was over 12 dpo.. which I'm apparently around 10.. So I'm going to leave it & allow what to happen to happen, it's just feeding my anxiety to test constantly! & Definitely not helping 🙈🤣

Thank you for everyone's words of comfort & support, I really do appreciate it 💖 it's so nice to be given that 🥰

@ButterflySkies It's really easy so I'd recommend easy @ home & clearblue digital (although expensive) track with either flo or premom - with flo it's been pretty spot on with me.. With pre mom you can scan in the tests & it tells you your LH level - very easy to do!!
Big loves to you! If this isn't our month then hopefully December is! For those who are our etc also 💖💖

ButterflySkies · 16/11/2023 19:18

@LuceNumberTwo i know exactly how you feel - i keep doing the maths and feeling anxious then sad. It’s so emotional but this is such a lovely support group so thanks ladies!

No early testing next time for me either. Having said that I tested when I got home (before anyone says it - I know I shouldn't have!) as I hadnt weed for about 4 hours and hubby got a clearblue pack (the devils!). And, I think I’ve got a big old indent/ink smudge. I looked at about 10mins… so outside the window.

Thanks so much lovely - I’ll get some! That sounds easy enough, but another thing to obsess about haha! Im actually looking forward to this holiday and a bit of a pause/reset…

ButterflySkies · 16/11/2023 19:26

Here’s a clearer pic - not editted - there’s a solid white line going through it and it’s think so my best guess is ink smudge / indent given the window…!

LuceNumberTwo · 16/11/2023 19:39

@ButterflySkies I've had one that looked exactly the same.. I think it was an evap, apparently clearblue are notorious for them.. Which is just shit 😫

& Just like that, it's like AF is listening, I'm out, she's here 😞
I'm sad but atleast I know! 💖
