Anyone want to give each other support? TTC November 2023 TWW

Hi, alI!

I thought it would be really nice to start a new thread. This thread is dedicated to those TTC in November 2023. We can give each other advice, talk through our emotions (because sometimes, hearing from another woman is so helpful!), and at the end of the cycle - update on pregnancy test results.

I'll introduce myself real quick. Feel free to do the same.

My name is Kelsey. I'm 26. I'm from Ireland. I've been engaged to my fiancé, Sean, since September. We started dating in December 2022 (when ya know, ya know!!). We have been trying to conceive since I came off the pill in May. I was only on it since December 2022. Unfortunately, we received a false positive Clearblue digital in June :(. So this TTC journey has been very stressful. I have PCOS and irregular cycles but something seems to be switching up in me.

My last period started October 19th.
I feel I ovulated on Halloween night. We DTD the day before and the day of. It's the first time I've caught ovulation so perfectly.

If going by 28 day cycle since I ovulated on time, my period is expected November 16th. I am so nervous as I want a baby so badly. Something in me is telling me this cycle is different but that little voice in my mind is telling me I'm not pregnant and I'm wrong. I guess we'll see.

Symptoms so far:
Ovary pain (but I have that almost every day anyway)
Backache
And then....nothing.
Which is unusual for me as my PMS symptoms usually begin 2 weeks before my period (whether I end up bleeding or not lol). I often feel nauseas and experience cramping. Nothing so far.
Also, currently 3dpo.

Let's keep each other entertained during that TTW.

Good luck, everyone!!!

@H938 that looks potentially like something positive! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I had a real squinter this morning - first time I’ve tested this cycle. But I think it was likely an indent. It’s the most I’ve ever seen on a test so trying not to get my hopes up… I’m not entirely sure but think I’m 8 or 9dpo as well. It’s still early days for us!

H938 · 12/11/2023 10:46

@Saffycat92 ahh I hope were just too early 🫣 hopefully we will get proper lines in a few more days. X

Jadehiggs · 12/11/2023 13:33

Ofc this would happen to me 😅
I took a test 10dpo, got an indent. Took a test yesterday at 11dpo, got a wonky line. It's thin and dark on clearblue. Took two dealz tests, both had faint lines. Today I took another clearblue and the line is definitely there but light. I'm so scared of a loss. No period symptoms tho. Period due in 3 days. I have mildly sore breasts and pain in my ovary but that's not unusual.

I'm holding onto hope the first clearblue was just wonky as the line was very thin and to the left.

Is this normal? To get a faint line at 12dpo?

At 9DPO these are all the symptoms I've experienced so far:

  • Metallic taste in mouth
  • Cramping
  • Tender boobs (strongest symptoms)
  • Morning nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Increased thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Bloating
  • Clear discharge (more than usual)
  • Constipation

Very tempted to test tomorrow, but I'll hold out. I've decided to monitor these symptoms, so if I'm not pregnant I will ignore them in the next cycle.

Outliers · 12/11/2023 13:49

@Jadehiggs sounds like a positive. Try first thing in the morning when hCG concentration highest.

Saffycat92 · 12/11/2023 18:33

@Jadehiggs that all sounds good! Here’s hoping you get a clear positive soon to put your mind at rest :)

H938 · 12/11/2023 19:54

@Jadehiggs im pretty sure you are pregnant with all those lines! It still is really early so thats probably why they are faint. Do a digital I bet it says pregnant 😊

Jadehiggs · 12/11/2023 20:11

It is early tbh, @H938. According to the app I'm only 3 weeks 4 days! I will take a digital as soon as i can. And thanks everyone!

Hey!

Wondered if it would be ok to jump on?
I'm currently 6 or 7 dpo.. unsure what day I exactly ovulated.. I've unfortunately had a blighted ovum back in May/June & 2 chemicals since. I have a DD earth side who is 6!
I gave myself a bit of a break from TTC but I thought why not try again..
So far I've been trying not to test, as I waited until the day after I missed my period last pregnancy & it ended in a chemical
I've seen very faint lines.. I'm actually not even sure they are there but on the camera you can't see them 🤦‍♀️ trying to sit on my hands!!

Ps hoping for babies all round 💖

H938 · 12/11/2023 20:23

Deffo a line there. I read that your levels double every 72 hours so if you can hold out a few days you should have a clear line. 🤞🏼

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 07:20

@H938 Oh I'm so glad someone can see it🤣 I swear I've got constant line eyes..
I'm going to 'try' giving it a couple of days.. much easier said that done when your a mental over tester 🙈
Also I've just seen your test! It definitely looks positive 🤞🤞 for you!!! 💖

H938 · 13/11/2023 07:41

I know its so hard not to test and easier said than done haha! Im going to wait until wednesday too and try again. Im still 6 days before my period so its so early to test. X

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 09:59

When are you re testing? As I'll wait with you 🙈🤣 according to flo app I'm still 8 days from started my period.. I was stupidly using premom too which gave me really different dates! X

H938 · 13/11/2023 10:24

Im going to wait untill wednesday. Im not even sure how many dpo I am now, my app says 9 but who knows! Usually I can feel myself ovulating on the right side and its wuite painful, this month its all been on the left side. So my app says test on 18th but thats agessss I wont be able to
wait that long 😂. Have you tested again since the first one. X

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 11:01

🙈🙈 I took one more, of the same test. But I'm pretty sure it's an evap.. That was yesterday, sometimes i just don't know what tests to take, there's alot of conflicting on whether red or blue dye is better! I'm so bloody impatient & my partner has bought me a digital, I'm sat here like do I use it do I not 🙈🤣 I'm going to wait until Wednesday thought & take an easy at home, which are hidden away from me because I'd take one every hour..
That sounds promising 🤞! Hopefully a BFP on Wednesday or something more than it being faint.. I never thought for a minute I'd have so much trouble conceiving after my first being so straight forward!
Arghhh 🙈 x

Outliers · 13/11/2023 11:09

My period is due on Friday and I'm struggling not to test. I've done some research and it's possible that all my symptoms are normal cycle notions provoked by high progesterone.

10DPO.

Apparently embryo can implants between 6-12days after ovulation - which is why early testing is pointless (https://www.netmums.com/pregnancy/9dpo-pregnancy-symptoms-and-testing-at-nine-days-post-ovulation).

9DPO: Pregnancy Symptoms And Testing At Nine Days Post Ovulation

Which symptoms you can expect at 9 days post ovulation? Is it the right time yet to take a pregnancy test? Here's everything you need to know at 9dpo.

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 11:15

@Outliers Oh you are doing so well not to test, much better than me 🤣🙈
I've done both & unfortunately ended up in loses, even when I did wait until I missed my period 😞
I got advised by a nurse at the EPU not to test until 2 weeks after my missed period, but there's just 0 chance of me doing that!
Hope you get a positive result when you do test!🤞

Ps this is the last test I took which I'm pretty sure is an evap 🙈

H938 · 13/11/2023 11:18

I think hold out on the digital until you know your levels should be high enough to come up. With my second i got a positive 9 days after having sex which i think its quite early and looking back at the pics they were very faint!! I also had a chemical and a misscarriage at 10 weeks pervious to that pregnancy so I was probably soo keen on symptoms and testing, thats what makes me think I am
now as i had all the same shmptoms! Then i done a digital 2 days after that- and got Pregnant 1-2 weeks thats why im thinking hold out til atleast Wednesday. Hope you get your positive! This is my first month trying though so I think i would be very very lucky if I did. X

Thank you and haven't used those tests before but this does look like a faint positive to me.

I bought tesco tests to use later this week, but just read the reviews and they're terrible

H938 · 13/11/2023 12:04

@Outliers are you going to test
today?

Its true all the symptoms are the same and thats why theres so many cases of thinking you are pregnant when youre not but do you usually have symtoms like that after ovulation or before your period?

I think this early there's no point testing but if you do it's best to do with first wee due to low hcg levels. I'm going to try and hold out until Wednesday morning.

The discharge and tender boobs I don't typically have tbh, and I usually struggle to drink enough water. Everything else is difficult to say if I'm honest, because I don't think I would have paid attention to those sensations if I wasn't TTC.

Possibly TMI I usually notice a small change in vaginal odour few days before period and I don't have that yet

H938 · 13/11/2023 12:23

@Outliers lets all test on Wednesday and hope for the best 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I also am so thirsty especially at night but I do have a cold - its either baby or illness for me lol

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 12:46

🤣🤣 Wednesday club it is 🤞🤞 x

Outliers · 13/11/2023 12:56

I had a strong cold last week myself! Wednesday it is. Fingers crossed for us all
