Anyone want to give each other support? TTC November 2023 TWW

Hi, alI!

I thought it would be really nice to start a new thread. This thread is dedicated to those TTC in November 2023. We can give each other advice, talk through our emotions (because sometimes, hearing from another woman is so helpful!), and at the end of the cycle - update on pregnancy test results.

I'll introduce myself real quick. Feel free to do the same.

My name is Kelsey. I'm 26. I'm from Ireland. I've been engaged to my fiancé, Sean, since September. We started dating in December 2022 (when ya know, ya know!!). We have been trying to conceive since I came off the pill in May. I was only on it since December 2022. Unfortunately, we received a false positive Clearblue digital in June :(. So this TTC journey has been very stressful. I have PCOS and irregular cycles but something seems to be switching up in me.

My last period started October 19th.
I feel I ovulated on Halloween night. We DTD the day before and the day of. It's the first time I've caught ovulation so perfectly.

If going by 28 day cycle since I ovulated on time, my period is expected November 16th. I am so nervous as I want a baby so badly. Something in me is telling me this cycle is different but that little voice in my mind is telling me I'm not pregnant and I'm wrong. I guess we'll see.

Symptoms so far:
Ovary pain (but I have that almost every day anyway)
Backache
And then....nothing.
Which is unusual for me as my PMS symptoms usually begin 2 weeks before my period (whether I end up bleeding or not lol). I often feel nauseas and experience cramping. Nothing so far.
Also, currently 3dpo.

Let's keep each other entertained during that TTW.

Good luck, everyone!!!

Me again!
Just want to ask which tests you are going to use? Red/blue dyes? I've got easy at home & wondflo.. Which are both red dyes.. x

H938 · 13/11/2023 19:09

I think theyre all the same! If youre pregnant it shows on anything. I dont think they sell first response in boots/superdrug anymore do they? I would go with clear blue though probably. Im actually thinking I might just wait it out til sat and see if I come on, its fustrating and it completely takes over doesnt it and I dont even know why im testing so early, i could have not even reached implantation yet 😂

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 19:24

Ahh yeah I was thinking clearblue but now I'm worried about evaps!!
If you can wait until then you are a star! I mean I know that any nurse, Dr etc would tell you it's so much better to wait! I so wish I was able to wait I've no idea how I did it last time x

H938 · 13/11/2023 19:30

I thought evaps were when it shows after the time frame? Maybe do a digital? Its just so dissapointing getting negatives isnt it and I think what will be will be so may aswell just see what happens. If i can wait it out🫣

rainyskylight · 13/11/2023 20:16

Hello - please may I join? I'm 35, have one DD who turned 3 only yesterday. I've been pregnant twice before and they were both within 6 weeks of trying. First with DD, the second ended in a MMC this summer. Been TTC for 3 months since then and have been getting super down that it's not been so quick.

I got super excited last month that I had a BFP but then I took the test out of the bin the day later and realised it was a faint positive on an ovulation test, not on a pregnancy one... And then yesterday I started to feel encouraged by what definitely seemed like it should be implantation spotting, but actually it's my period five days early. I'm never early!!!! So rubbish.

Anyway I hope everyone is doing ok xxx

H938 · 13/11/2023 21:00

@rainyskylight Ahh im sorry to hear that, its really draining and hard not to get constantly caught up in it, it takes over. I know its easier said than done but maybe see this as a fresh start, you can track from now and hopefully two weeks from now you will be ovulating again and can try for a December BFP ♥️ are you taking any vitamins? I previously took seven seas trying to concieve tablets with my second and they have really good reviews x

LuceNumberTwo · 13/11/2023 21:25

@H938 Aww maybe then, God these tests! Drive you mad!!! 🙈 it will be great if you can hold out, more of a guarantee on the result being clear but all the same I'll be here testing early because I've no will power 🤣🤣

@rainyskylight I'm sorry to hear AF came this month, and early of course when you don't want it to! Just to make it worse 🙄
As said above, hopefully you can track & TTC for December... A lovely Christmas gift 💖
I'm taking seven seas vitamins, so far fallen every time we've tried.. Just need a sticky ❤️ oh I hope we all get our good news soon, I never for a minute thought it would be so difficult..I knew very little about loss or miscarriage, but now I've had the experience, it's just horrific
Big loves 💖

Excuse the awful user name! This is my first time posting and everything is gone..!

Can I jump on and wait with you? I’m trying for baby 2 - it’s harder than my 3 year old, we got lucky first time then! Feeling a bit of angst this month as there’s no chance in my next window, we’re away for two weeks over it and due to be sharing a room with my toddler…

Not sure how many DPO but AF is due around the weekend… I’m not like clockwork so anytime Friday-Monday. The urge to test is real (I was wfh and so caved today and obviously a BFN). I’ll try not to again until at least you all have on Weds :) x

LuceNumberTwo · 14/11/2023 07:06

Ohhh the urge to test is super real! 🙈 definitely holding off, I've woke up with some stabby pains down there to the left, so I don't know hopefully means something 🤷‍♀️ other than that (if it is a symptom) I've nothing going on, although when pregnant before I've not really had symptoms as such, when I surpassed 5 weeks with the blighted ovum I remember feeling sick when I ate but that was it

@ButterflySkies Hey! Of course you can jump on, you are welcome here 😁🥰 come be in our Wednesday club, if you can hold out! You could be due AF around the same time the ladies above are! So hopefully you might see something when testing tomorrow! What brands do you use? I'm keeping everything totally crossed for you!

In the meantime I'm back at work today, which I'm thankful for as it keeps my mind busy, yesterday we wrapped DD Christmas presents, very organised this year for some unknown reason.. I'll be going away on the 25th to visit family for a week & it's a full packed week, by which time I'll hopefully know either way..
What's everyone's december/Christmas plans? I'm such a child at heart 🤣🤣🎄🎅

X

Mummy2823 · 14/11/2023 07:46

I wanna join 😀
I'm 30 TTC #2, DD is nearly 8months old, really want 2 close together.
First time around happened really quickly on first month of trying. Tried last month but came on a week early so possibly got ovulation dates wrong 😞
Have just finished my period so would like to get some ovulation tests this month but I've never used them before. I'm on a budget as maternity pay is so bad 😂
What would people say are the most reliable on a budget?

Edited

Is your toddler a light sleeper?
I'd definitely dtd whilst away to not miss out on this month. Even if it's middle of the night when your toddler is in a deeper sleep

Oatmilktea · 14/11/2023 07:59

I’d like to join for my last days of the 2WW please. Last period started 17/10, likely ovulated 1/11, DTD 31/10, 1/11 and 2/11. (Had a transvaginal ultrasound on 2/11 to check for PCOS and the nurse showed me it was clear I had very recently ovulated).

I have had very sore boobs since 7DPO and have had a dull lower back ache. According to natural cycles my period will be due tomorrow.

I’m so hopefully that this will be my time, we’ve been TTC for a year now

H938 · 14/11/2023 08:30

@LuceNumberTwo only one more day! Hopefully will go quick if you are back at work. I also LOVE christmas, i actually want to put my tree up this weekend but I think its too early 😂 although ive never been so organised to have presents done and wrapped. Im usually a christmas eve wrapper 😳 I have two little girls so have to hide everything! Although I have got a few things already, thought this year im not going to go crazy with the presents as I only stress myself out!! Would be lovely to be 🤰🏻by Christmas for sure!! We always have christmas at home and everyone comes to us so its full on but I love it. Will you go away for the whole week? Also im not sure if its the fact ive got a cold still but felt so sick this morning and just had to pull over on the school run as was literally gagging 🤮🤮🤮🤮X

Saffycat92 · 14/11/2023 09:22

Hey everyone, after my test on Sunday (where I could see a vvvfl which got my hopes up, but I’m now sure it was an indent) I had a negative test yesterday which I was super disappointed about. But I’m not due on until between Friday-Sunday so have decided I’m just not going to test again until Friday. It was a bit irrational but I just felt so upset and emotional about it yesterday. Trying not to think about it now until Friday and just keep myself busy with other things. Hope you’re all hanging it there ok and fingers crossed for all your Wednesday tests! TTC wreaks havoc with my emotions!

H0pefull · 14/11/2023 09:23

Hi everyone, hope i am ok to join!

Following an unplanned pregnancy in June 2022 that ended in a loss, i have been TTC #1 since then, with no luck. 2 chemicals over the last few months but that is all. I am currently waiting for my NHS fertility referral appointment to come through, and in the meantime my fiance has his sperm test booked for the end of this week (he is thrilled lol) but just to cover all possibilities.

I am currently about 5/6 DPO, trying my best not to symptom spot but as we all know that is easier said than done 😵AF due a week today, 21/11.

Lots of luck to everyone that is testing this week, can't wait to see how you all get on! x

ButterflySkies · 14/11/2023 09:35

Thanks for being so welcoming! Did everyone hold out this morning?

I’ve got some boots early detection as clearblue seem so anxiety ridden and no FRER anywhere! No symptoms and no knowing feeling (I swear I knew immediately with my daughter) but also no PMT symtoms, my boobs are normally on fire by now!

@Mummy2823 v interested in the best ovulation tests on a budget too as i think il start using them too.

My daughter is a light sleeper and we’re away with my in laws, my FIL lives in South Africa. We’re off to a game reserve and the accommodation has very thin walls so unless we can get them to take DD out without us I think we’re out next month… it’s their treat - we cant afford to take us all out there - so i know we’re very lucky and it’s a nice problem to have, I shouldn’t grumble too much about possibly not being able to DTD!

I love December - my daughters actually v nearly three so it’s her bday and my nieces 4th in the lead up. We’re having Christmas day just us as it’s most of our families turns with the other side - we have lots of plans around it. We are very excited, well my hubby is!, but does feel a bit odd as we normally have chaos! Any tips on making it magical still very welcome. And, get the tree up when you want to, it brightens up the evenings!

Just also reading the thread - you’re all superwomen! Lots of resilience and strength on this thread, TTC is so emotional isn’t it especially when it takes time and isn’t smooth. Sending lots of virtual hugs and fingers crossed for us all xx

H938 · 14/11/2023 09:57

@Oatmilktea sounds exciting for you!! When will you test? 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼X

@H0pefull its really hard not to symptom spot- i was second guessing myself on if I have any of these symptoms leading up to my period and im sure I dont but ive never been looking out for them so who knows!

@Saffycat92 im going to wait until im due aswell! As I will spend all week googling every little thing and the negatives are just dissapointing so will just wait and see 🤞🏼 for you!

@ButterflySkies South africa sounds amazing!!! What a lovely holiday for the little one also some sun in December is ideal!

Outliers · 14/11/2023 11:23

Welcome to the new joiners, wishing baby dust for all.

11DPO - I now have absolutely no symptoms. I did have some lightning in the groin area this morning but this after having a very full bladder. Period due 3 in days, no indication its coming just yet.

Regardless of the test results later this week,, it will be nice not to think about this for a while.

emmatcc1 · 14/11/2023 11:47

Joining here I thought I ovulated yesterday because my cervix had closed up and mucus turned back to creamy but bbt didn’t rise this morning and now my mucus is back to ewcm and cervix is slightly open. I have never experienced a failed ovulation, maybe a possible double ovulation?

therealpatmustard · 14/11/2023 13:44

Hey guys,

Can I join, TTC #3 number 1&2 were both unplanned, not being overly careful, or tracking and they happened but I couldn't tell you how many months it took I have a feeling number 1 would have been on the longer side of things, I took no notice of my cycle but did a range of pulling out leaving in etc. Overall the main difference was both of my pregnancies I was way younger, currently in mid 30's now.

I'm 6DPO- according to an ovulation test LH surge on CD16 I would have generically ovulated on CD17 but I suppose this could be later.

Symptom spotting like a mad woman, next AF due 23rd November.

H938 · 14/11/2023 15:34

Turns out im actually 9dpo and ive been counting from the day we dtd (if thats the right term) 😂🤦🏻‍♀️.

on another note i have this pain in my left side and back. Its like ovulation pain!

Outliers · 14/11/2023 16:18

My DC has been particularly difficult the last week or so, it's giving me PTSD of the first 12months of life and anxiety of having to deal with that stress again.

Will soften blow slightly if I test negative 😅😂

LuceNumberTwo · 14/11/2023 17:46

Wow! This took off!! 🤣🤣 Hello to all the new ladies 💖 🤞🤞 for you all!

@Mummy2823 mmy2823 I use easy @ home they are usually quite reliable & if you download premom you can scan them with the app & it will tell you how high your LG level is, i use Flo app, but it's totally upto you! I also use clearblue digital ovulatio (quite expensive but cheaper on amazon!) As it's there in digital form, smiley means get to trying & I'd say you were nearing that time! So good luck & keep updating 🥰

@Oatmilktea tmilktea This is exciting!! Atleast you know you DTD around the right time.. When are you thinking of testing? I think I could be about the same as you if I'm honest, as I had my period around the 20th October, but my cycles are always different lengths for some unknown reason!! Hopefully a BFP for you! 💖🤞

@H938 983 How are you doing? I've been working all day so just managed to get some time to read through!
I'm definitely a Christmas freak, my tree has been up since the first week in November 🤣 i just needed the light for my soul this year 🙈💖
I'm going Sat - the following Friday, looking forward to being away as I was last away in March! A break would be nice!
Although gagging & feeling poorly isn't great, I'd say it all sounds promising🤞🤞 bring on the symptoms haha!!
9 DPO! Ohhh my goodness! Xx

@Saffycat92 fycat You are not alone sweety, it's the hardest journey 💔 I cried last night because it all felt like too much again, thinking if I'd done the right thing by trying this month, etc. But I'm feeling a bit more lighter today & hope you are too! Just know you've got people here to cry to anytime! Are you going to wait until AF is due/missed to test again? It could just be the sensitivity of the test etc!🤞🤞 💖

@H0pefull 0pefull Your situation is similar to mines, have a healthy 6 year old DD.. A blighted ovum June this year, followed by a couple of chemicals.. I have an appointment on the 22nd with the obstetrics consultant, hoping they might look into it for me but we shall see!
I'm so sorry to hear you've been through it all, & hoping the results are good news for you & you get a BFP!! 🤞🤞💖

@ButterflySkies rflyskies oh wow that sounds wonderful & lots to do 💖 I love having a family Christmas! I think just enjoying every minute & being with your family is the most magical, although we have a tradition of being home early, Christmas pjs on! My little girl gets her Christmas eve box & loves it! Like a wee treat 💖 we've also got breakfast with santa booked Xmas eve morning!
Ahh, I can't offer much advice on the DTD situation... sneaky toilet breaks? 🤣🤣 xx

@emmatcc1 mmatcc1 I've never heard of this! I wouldn't even think to check cervix etc, so not much knowledge.. Do you track with ovulation tests?

@therealpatmustard lpatmustard Oh wow! I did try for my first girl, but again I had no issues with falling. This time it just seems to be a nightmare! I.had gastric surgery in 2022.. so it goes through my head is it this, the covid vaccine, is it that.. just a paranoid wreck! When are you thinking of testing? X

@Outliers They are sent to try us aren't they 🤣 little monkeys! Hope it gets easier for you! X

Think I've caught up.. jeezo that was alot of typing! But didn't want to read & run with everyone! OMG can I go to bed yet so I can test tomorrow 🙈🙈 I need something to do 🤣

💖

Queenie901 · 14/11/2023 17:57

I’m so glad I’ve found this group of you!!

Im on my second month ttc (sort of as we made a half attempt before that) and I’ve just done the tww. I’m 15dpo today and usually have a 29 day cycle so according to my app af should have come yesterday. Still no sign of her though!

just tested and it’s negative but sometimes I am a day late so I think I’m probably out this month. Feels like it’s on its way but then it has for weeks now.
I was pretty convinced I had conceived this month as I started getting symptoms for af really early - including nausea which made me sick.

looking forward to keeping up with how everyone gets on though! :)

LuceNumberTwo · 14/11/2023 18:35

@Queenie901
Ohhh hoping she doesn't show her ugly self for you
Did you maybe ovulate a bit later? Or do you track? Still keep my fingers crossed 🤞🤞 & obviously keep us updated!
Did you take fmu test?
