@curliegirlie I'm so sorry :( Is there a fertility therapist you could talk to about all of this anywhere near you? I think Mrs Grealish said that talking has helped her. How is your husband feeling about it?

coastergirl · 04/03/2024 21:19

@TheBirdintheCave Hello. Please forgive my intrusion into your thread. I clicked on it a while ago when it was in active and something made me carry on reading occasionally. I just wanted to let you know that I had horrendous antenatal depression when pregnant with my first. I had many of the feelings you described, I honestly believed I didn't want baby and my life was over. I also struggle with anxiety and I'm awaiting autism diagnosis (it's extremely likely). Big emotions are completely overwhelming and so hard to deal with for me. My boy and I couldn't be any closer now, we adore each other. He's about to turn 9. I then had a miscarriage, followed by another boy. The antenatal depression kicked in again but I was far more honest about how bad it was, and received really good treatment, which definitely helped. With both of them (especially my eldest), the depression lifted as soon as they were born. I can't believe I thought I didn't want them! But hormones and brain chemicals are incredibly powerful things, they make you absolutely believe what you're feeling. Try and believe that it IS the hormones making you feel like that. Oh and I've never once felt pitied for having two boys. I actually would have loved to have three boys, but for various reasons it wasn't possible for me. I don't think you need to worry about people pitying you.

Good luck, I really hope it all works out well for you.

Hi @TheBirdintheCave - we were on a different conception thread a while ago. So many congratulations on your pregnancy. My little boy is here now and so I have two. They are brilliant and I'm so happy with two boys. I won't have another child. I know so many people with two boys and everyone agrees it's wonderful seeing them together. I have never heard or seen anyone pity me and they wouldn't you. All my love x

How are we all doing, chaps?

I'm 35+2 now. My placenta is no longer low lying but baby is currently still breech so that's a new issue 🙄 If it hasn't turned by next Tuesday I'll be sent to the breech clinic to talk about ECV or c-section 😥

MrsJGrealush · 10/04/2024 18:25

@TheBirdintheCave omg so close ❤️ did you have a normal delivery with G?

@curliegirlie how are you doing? It's hard to stay strong with this no trying lark

Angelselevenx · 10/04/2024 18:30

@MrsJGrealush ❤️❤️

I'm still here, still trying 😅😭. Cycle 15 and round 2 of letrozole. Had my dose doubled so let's see what happens 🙏🏽

TheBirdintheCave · 10/04/2024 18:32

@MrsJGrealush Yup! I really, really don't want a c-section. Still hoping for the water birth I didn't get with G as Kingston didn't let us come in until it was too late 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

@Angelselevenx Best of luck with the Letrozole this time!

MrsJGrealish · 10/04/2024 19:27

Name changed for another thread 😂

@TheBirdintheCave anytime now..so exciting and such a journey!!

@Angelselevenx ❤️ I'm soo excited for you this month 🌈 !!

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 20:09

@TheBirdintheCave not long to go now 🥰

@Angelselevenx good luck this cycle lovely 🤞🏼 come on meds do your thang!

I'm 27+5 still puking and wretching 🙄 I really can't face a lot of food but I'm fine if it's shoved in front of me 🤷🏼‍♀️ gets me out the cooking I suppose 😂 baby is so active much more than ds was

Hey 👋 how are u all doing? @TheBirdintheCave omg not long to go now at all! Eek 😬 I can't believe I've been back at work 4 months now and my youngest is 13 months old! 😭 xx

calimc83 · 10/04/2024 20:17

@bringmearainbow oh wow!!! Nearly 3rd trimester! Do u know what you're having? I can't remember 🙈🥰 xx

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 20:33

@calimc83 no but I'm sure it's another boy pretty sure I saw a ding dong on our 4d scan 😂 I think it's been a boy from the start though everyone else thinks it's a girl 😳 I think all my symptoms and things from old wives tales really point to a girl though which is why they all think girl

OP posts:
calimc83 · 10/04/2024 20:50

@bringmearainbow oh ha ha 😂 sometimes there's no mistaking a boy! How exciting. I don't think my symptoms were any different between girl and boy but I think I always carry higher for a girl? x

TheBirdintheCave · 10/04/2024 21:20

@bringmearainbow Gosh nearly 28 weeks for you! I can't believe it 😱 I'm glad all is well! Sorry the 4D scan might have ruined your surprise! I keep panicking at every growth scan we have that I'm going to see something else but thankfully the last three sonographers were much more careful. Incredibly so since baby's feet are up by its head so any bits would be clearly on display 😂

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 21:26

@calimc83 haha no there really isn't. It was just a glimpse and I think I only noticed it as have spent a good amount of time looking at scans. Hubby was there along with my mum, sister and MIL they all didn't see anything at all 😂 my mum was shocked that it wasn't obvious what bit was what 🤦🏼‍♀️ tbf to everyone my symptoms have been horrendous compared to my son that was such an easy pregnancy this has been really awful I feel like I've had every crappy symptom going and they just don't stop 😂

OP posts:
bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 21:29

@TheBirdintheCave tbf I was very on the fence about not finding out and I'm not too sad I think I know. I haven't told hubby what I saw as he really did want a surprise 🥴 I'll let him be shocked I was right because he thinks girl 😂 hahaha yes that would have been clear for anyone to see cheeky baby! I'm glad they are being careful though. Have you picked names yet?

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 10/04/2024 21:39

@bringmearainbow Yep! We went back and forth on the girls name after our previous favourite didn't feel right any more but we've currently settled on Conrad and Marcella (Marcie). I doubt they'll change now.

How about you?

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 21:41

@TheBirdintheCave ahhh I really loved Conrad for DS but hubby didn't like it 😢 love them both ❤️ we've gone for Charlie for a boy and Ivy for a girl

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 10/04/2024 21:49

@bringmearainbow Ah that's a shame he didn't like it! It's taken me a while to get husband on board with Marcie 😂 He likes so few girl names. His suggestions were Zelda (after Fitzgerald) or Agatha 🤔🙄

Charlie and Ivy are lovely choices! 😬

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 22:03

@TheBirdintheCave my husband has the weirdest taste in names I never like any of his suggestions 😂😂 he liked the name Richard for a boy I was like we can't call our child Richard 🤦🏼‍♀️ you'll have to go to our group if you can't remember my surname and then think of some shortenings for Richard 🙄

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 10/04/2024 22:19

@bringmearainbow Ohhhh oh yes that wouldn't work at all would it 😂

bringmearainbow · 10/04/2024 22:21

@TheBirdintheCave 😂😂 he once listed and an entire football teams names and I hated them all 🙊

Stubborn baby is still frank breech so we're trying an ECV on Wednesday. 50/50 chance of it working so we'll either come out of there with a c-section date 😭 or a turned baby who gets to cook a little longer. I'm not hopeful to be honest as baby seems firmly wedged in place. The feet are always on the upper left and the back is to my right like it's lying on its side.
