@TheBirdintheCave oh no cheeky baby 🙈 hopefully bubba gets the memo and turns into position. How many weeks today?

TheBirdintheCave · 19/04/2024 12:39

I'm 36+4. Husband gives baby a stern talking to every night but they refuse to budge 🙄

Indianna2006 · 19/04/2024 13:18

@TheBirdintheCave oh wow hopefully they turn. Can’t believe you’re soooo close!!
but my c section was amazing. So I don’t have bad words to say about it. But 100% understand why you’d want to avoid it.

TheBirdintheCave · 19/04/2024 14:02

@Indianna2006 I can't believe it either. Time just flew after 30 weeks 😱 I'm not ready for it all to be over yet. Still enjoying all the kicks and wiggles.

TheBirdintheCave · 24/04/2024 15:12

I had my ECV this morning as the wee one was still breech. It all went perfectly and baby turned on the first try! :D Just got to hope they stay down now. It was uncomfortable, bordering on painful, but bearable for the 20 seconds it took to actually complete the turn. Midwife commented it was the easiest ECV she'd seen for a long time!

bringmearainbow · 24/04/2024 21:18

@TheBirdintheCave ahhh that's great news 🥳 good baby

@TheBirdintheCave great news, well done!

Indianna2006 · 25/04/2024 21:55

@TheBirdintheCave 🙌🏻🙌🏻🥰

TheBirdintheCave · 25/04/2024 22:19

Downside is that I've had Braxton Hicks on and off all day now 🙄 I don't think my womb liked being manhandled.

bringmearainbow · 27/04/2024 08:54

@TheBirdintheCave did the braxton hicks calm down? Do you have a plan for section or induction at all or just going naturally?

OP posts:
curliegirlie · 27/04/2024 09:52

@TheBirdintheCave all your updates are so exciting! I'm so pleased that turning your baby round was a success 💫.

As ever I've not been able to give up yet. Currently 9dpo but stark white ICs. I so fervently wish this was my month and I finally get the fairytale ending (ha!) but I just know AF will be rocking up in a few days time...

TheBirdintheCave · 27/04/2024 11:08

@curliegirlie I still have hope that you'll get a miracle! ❤️

@bringmearainbow It did calm down eventually thank goodness. I hate Braxton Hicks as mine actually hurt 🙄 I had the same ones with G.

Plan is a vaginal birth now on the midwife led unit 🙏🏻 No induction due to the prior tear and if anything looks like it's going south I'll go straight to a c-section.

Brother doesn't come back from holiday til tomorrow so baby needs to stay put until then at least 😂 Still 'only' 37+5 so fingers crossed it's a while. I am not mentally ready to give birth yet 😅

How are you doing?

bringmearainbow · 29/04/2024 10:20

@TheBirdintheCave hope that bubba stayed put 🤞🏼 can't believe it really is so close for you now 🙈 I'm doing ok don't have gestational diabetes so that's good news 🥳 now just hoping that choleostasis doesn't rear its head again as id really like to go natural rather that induction this time. It did occur to me at the weekend I really don't have much longer 🙈 and there's so much to do 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 29/04/2024 10:34

@bringmearainbow How many weeks are you now? What bits do you have left to do?

38 weeks today for me! Still plodding along and planning on going to Zumba on Thursday as usual. Brother is back from holiday so no more panicking about someone being there for G 😬 We finally managed to sell G's old travel system yesterday 🙌 I was starting to worry we'd have it hanging around in the guest room for months.

bringmearainbow · 29/04/2024 10:41

@TheBirdintheCave 30 weeks 🙊 tbh I think it just feels like a lot to do rather than actually being a lot 😂 we are decorating baby's room and DS room this week then I can move all the furniture back in there. I've organised the baby clothes, got the car seat and pram ready and cleaned and I've started collating all the hospital bag crap. Work atm is my biggest stress trying to get so much done 😂 ahhh that's great did you decide on a new one for bubs? I've got rid of so much stuff from our house it feels so cleansing to sort out and get rid

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 29/04/2024 12:16

@bringmearainbow Ah sorry work is so busy :( Decorating rooms is fun though! We're not bothering until the baby is old enough to go into their own room. G will then move into the guestroom office and his old room will be the guest/office/baby room until baby sleeps well enough in the night to join G in the big bedroom.

Re the buggy, the Vista V2 that we had was FAR too big for the car and house despite being a lovely pram so we bought a second hand YoYo2 with newborn attachment to use as our full time buggy. We'll need it for our holiday in August anyway :)

bringmearainbow · 04/05/2024 17:31

@TheBirdintheCave any baby news yet 🤔😂

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 04/05/2024 18:51

@bringmearainbow Nope! Lots of braxton hicks at the moment but nothing else to report. 39 weeks tomorrow. This baby will 100% be late like their brother 😂

LuckyMoonstone · 04/05/2024 18:54

@TheBirdintheCave I am so excited for you! The last few weeks are the worst when you are desperate for something to happen

TheBirdintheCave · 04/05/2024 19:12

@LuckyMoonstone Thanks! I'm still kind of in denial about it. I had this feeling with G too, like it's just going to go on forever and I'll always be pregnant 😂

bringmearainbow · 04/05/2024 20:34

@TheBirdintheCave oooh cheeky baby 🙈 I do think it's so hard when you hit full term I know with DS I was like come on then hurry up as soon as I got to 37w 😂

OP posts:
curliegirlie · 05/05/2024 12:34

@TheBirdintheCave nah you won't. Going off DD1 (who was 4 days late) I fully expected to have 2 full weeks of mat leave before DD2 made an appearance when I finished work. I had about 4 or 5 days 😂

FfoxRedN · 05/05/2024 17:36

@TheBirdintheCave I'm still here keeping an eye and watching for your news the little one has arrived!
@bringmearainbow is can't believe you're 30 (more now I've only just caught up!) weeks, amazing news. So glad to read it's going well. 🫶🏻
@MrsJGrealish I think of you a lot lovely, hope you're doing well. Same for all of you still here 😘 xx

MrsJGrealish · 05/05/2024 18:40

@FfoxRedN I'd written out a longgg facebook post this morning but ended up deleting it because of it got long and rambley 😂

To summarise, got a positive yesterday at 10dpo. Only DTD twice and one time was the day b4 I tested. Was due to get the coil fitted last Tuesday but I didn't fancy it in the end which is just as well 🤣 this pregnancy is being supported by progesterone. It is of course early days but the test seemed darker today so praying for a miracle 🙏 DH is going away to work for a month so I told him already.

@TheBirdintheCave @bringmearainbow so excited for you girls!!. The end and your babies are in sight ❤️

LuckyMoonstone · 05/05/2024 20:17

@MrsJGrealish oh wow! Hope you’re feeling ok, please lean on us when you need to (for good and bad I mean, hopefully all good!)🩷
