Thanks Lissie - sorry not been on but parents have arrived to look after dd tomorrow !

Good reminder about high dose folic acid - I'd meant to ask that but had forgotten. Will right notes now. Thanks again.

Will report back tomorrow at some point - appointment at 12 but parents here so not so easy to sneak on to MN !

Wheelybug · 17/04/2008 14:07

Am back - a bit annoyed tbh.

Has scheduled repeat blood tests a sa bit out of date and an HSG and DH another sperm test - no surprises there.

She kept telling us to relax () and that I was still young (grrrrrr - how can I be young now but in 2 years time I will be higher risk and besides even if I was 18 and had been trying for 2 years it would still be insensitive ?), wouldn't/couldn't understand my issue regardning an underlying problem causing IUGR/MC/Infertility. Just kept repeating not to be stressed and relax. Plus my consultant appointment (this was a nurse) is in three months time rather than the two they stated it would be.

AM CROSS.

Thanks SM - DH said he thought we had better ask the question of the consultant.

I think the unit is very popular and busy so I guess the waiting lists are looooonnngggg. They did say, if I had got all the tests done sooner I could ring to see if I could get a cancellation but it wasn't likely.

Also, on all the reports I've read on MN re HSG NO ONE has mentioned you have to stick antibiotics up your BUM . Did you all do this and not tell me or is my health authority more sadistic than most ????????

downbutnotout · 17/04/2008 22:11

No-one has tried to stick anything up my bum for a while - but I lead a quiet life.

Wheelybug · 17/04/2008 23:34

I know we're not allowed to use it on this thread but Downbutnotout you made me . Thank you !

I did have a huge rant at DH that all he had to do was wank into a pot and I had to stick drugs up my arse - and more. Grrrrrr.

Oh wheely, I had oral antibiotics after HSG, but after IVF they always give them rectally (that word always makes me think of the prime of Miss Jean Brodie!) TBH when you get to this stage, nothing is sacred and you don't really care, also after IVF during 2WW you are given suppositories as well. Like you you downbutnotout I lead a quiet life, but I have to admit bottom medicine (as my DS calls it) isn't a high point!

You're welcome, wheely. Christ knows we could all do with as much to smile about as possible...

Oh annie - so very, very hard. Easy for me to say, but I don't think you should give up ttc just yet. The only times I've taken a break I've regretted it afterwards, just because the whole thing is taking so bloody long anyway.

Besides if this is the worst possible time, that will almost certainly mean you get pregnant in the blink of an eye.....

Hi Guys,
Havent posted on here for ages, but have been lurking hope u dont mind!
I have just had a very short, light AF after first month of clomid. Pretty sure it was a propper AF because i always get terrible stomach cramps for about 4 hours after bleeding starts, also i am on and off the loo with in that time as it seems to upset my whole system. Does anyone else have same?? Its extreamly unpleasent!
annie Its not silly to feel bad for urself, it doesnt mean ur not pleased for her though it just means you are acknowledging ur true feelings, ur not an idiot.
wheely god what the hell is wrong with these people, they dont seem to be able to answer any questions and i really think they have lost the ability to realise we are real people.
I had almost gone mental from waiting for my diagnosis app after L&D and afterwards, due to the docs unhelpfull attitude, i felt even worse, although was perscribed clomid so let it drop, did want to complain at the time though.

Annie I have the same thing, I was advised (by the nurse who did my smear) to put bum on a pillow or two after sex as your cervix points backward. She also recommended sex with as deep penetration as possible.

downbutnotout · 19/04/2008 19:06

FUCK.

Fucking AF here fucking early. When will all this fucking end?

Hi everyone,
shrek should be scared of the mn posse we are hard as nails man!!! I have been vial to DH over the weekend, cant seem to help myself sometimes, but he has been nothing but nice to me, so nice he made me cry coz i dont deserve him...........sick aint it!
annie on the clomid thread 5 people are pg since dec, most with in the first few rounds too. Im on my second round, was hoping i would be first time lucky too but not to be, never mind, onwards and upwards eh!

downbutnotout · 21/04/2008 21:05

Apologies for the bad language - forgot myself for a while there.

Intrigued to know what dh did, shreks!

By strange chance I also have a friend in NZ, annie, who is just going on maternity leave. She was told she might never have children after 2 mcs, the pg is the result of IVF with donor eggs and treatment for "sticky blood". I am unreservedly happy for her. It is strange how some pregnancies are easier to bear than others. I'm finding it a lot easier to do baby chat with my pregnant colleague now as well. Maybe I am not so miserable after all...

Anyhoo, thought af was undoubtedly here but have had two days of spotting so will be driving myself mad until the inevitable happens. Thank god there's no hpts in the house.
