Anniemac - sorry you're feeling particularly down. its so hard when people announce all round you. I had a run of friends having number 2's (babies !) last year and this year. Probably about 18 in all. The run is now kind of over except now I am dreading the next lot of announcements which will be from people with children 1-2 years younger than dd (actually some of my friends have already had 2 and started a year after dd).

As for your career going well - its the Bridget Jones thing isn't it - Just as one area of your life goes well, one area fucks up (I'm not she quite put it like that but ...).
