oh arse, bugger and wank.

Period arrived last night. Have now booked HSG for 19th. Am feeling v. its come to this.

Annoyingly though all my tests will be done 2 whole months before I am then due to see consultant to discuss them. Makes me want to scream. I will ring to see if I can get an earlier appointment but they didn't sound like it would be likely (given that they should have given me an appointment for late June not late July in the first place).

Gnnn. My younger sister is having her third, perfect, no-problems-conceiving baby tomorrow. It's a girl, finishing off her perfect family of two boys. Naturally, I've got to go and see the pair of them, as otherwise I would be a bitter and grumpy old cow, and because I've got to take my parents there, as otherwise they'd have to stay over, which they don't want to have to do as sis is having a caesarian, blah blah.

So, if I go I'll probably cry and make a show of myself, and if I don't I'll be a wet blanket.

And I don't know what's going on with my cycle this month. Funny pinky mucousy stuff (mmmm) over the weekend, which was cd11-13, and nothing since. Is pinky good?

Going on adoption course soon, but can't seem to let go of the crazy notion of having our own.

Have a form for a private HSG, but it's pretty unlikely anything's wrong, considering I managed it before. Six times...

Wheelybug · 08/05/2008 11:53

Herby - presumably your family know the problems you are having ? Are they sensitive to this ??

Not sure about the mucus - I sometimes get it a bit at the start ofthe mucusy bit and assume its just clearing out a bit..

I know waht you mean about the HSG - I have conceived twice no problem so assume I don't have an issue either but I guess another thing to tick off the list.

Just remember, to quote my fertility nurse, just relax and enjoy your fertile time... (where's the knife....).

herbaceous · 08/05/2008 12:38

Have a feeling my 'fertile time' was last night, when DP got in far too late and pissed to do any jiggy. Grrr.

My family does know about how sensitive I am to all of this, but I still manage to guilt myself into going. It may well be OK - I've seen a friend's new baby recently, and it was fine. I even thought 'oh, is that it?'

SheherazadetheGoat · 08/05/2008 13:50

my sister is about to have her first which is lovely (waves at sister) but unfortunately she was mildly crampy yesterday got wildly excited and my mum is arriving tonight and cos the baby hasn't come she is staying with me. and i couldn't v. well say 'not tonight i'm OVULATING' any tips on v. quiet sex? i think dh finds my mother in the same house rather off putting.

wheelybug, good luck with the hsg, are you having the xray kind or the ultrasound kind.

SheherazadetheGoat · 08/05/2008 13:51

herbaceous · 09/05/2008 12:09

Sis has had her baby. And one of her middle names is May, which is what I wanted to call the girl I lost last year. Not that she knew that.

Thought I'd be happy about her arrival, but I'm not. What a hateful old cow I am.

Shrekm, you are so right. That's just it - the whole gushiness thing. I'll probably be better by the time I go and see her.
