Morning ladies.

AF showed up yesterday 16th Oct Booooo. This is my 9th cycle. Made an apt with GP as I am over 35 and we really tried everything so now need some tests and OH to.
TTC No.2. LO is 2 this month. Was hoping for 2 under 2. But ah well...... We plan but God is the best of planners.

Please join! And hopefully we see some BFPs this month.

@KM8 do you think the ovulation bleeding is a good sign? I think I may have had ovulation 'pangs' this lunch time. I might have tired to ovulate last month hence the pain. I'm supposed to ovulate tomorrow and I think today will be my peak so we're in the same boat! I am getting excited this time, I think it's going to happen.

@Outliers I've never heard that about c-sections. I had DS last year via EMCS after being induced 3 days earlier! My sis had her 1st by "proper" EMCS (put under) and has gone on to have 2 more.

That's comforting to hear, I'm probably getting in my own head a bit.

My EMCS was also following an induction - though I wasn't put under just had epi. I'm definitely going to avoid induction 2nd time round if I can.

@Outliers same, I was awake for mine. I will not be allowing an induction this time. I know a good few women that have had more than 1 baby by CS. With my sister as I said her 1st was 'red lights' emergency, 2nd then was VBAC, 3rd was planned section

It will be difficult to DTD when on holiday. Good idea to know when you will be ovulating with the sticks.

@pontipinemum I love how positive you are that's amazing I bet this month will be your month! I really hope it's mine too....but I'm always apprehensive about getting excited so I'm not too disappointed (but I always do!)

It's positive that we have had some signs of ovulation perhaps! Onwards and upwards cycle twin 😂🥰

Hi everyone back to CD3 for me today 😔 had been so hopeful last month....

Trying my best not to get annoyed at OH doing as he fancies as im here trying to gain some control over my body!

@KM8 I did another OPK it's risen more today :) I'll do another one at 8pm just to see if I catch how high it gets.

@rupertbear91 aw sorry to hear that 😥it is so disappointing. What do you mean OH is doing as he fancies? Is he not being supportive?

@pontipinemum yay this is so exciting!!! Keep us updated! ❤️ I've been using clearblue ovulation tests as I'm a bit of a novice with OPKs so needed an easy (but flipping expensive!) option!

I can't test now for 48 hours from getting my peak, should I test after this to check my levels are back to low level to see if I have ovulated??

@KM8 I'm really not sure, sorry. I use the easy at home ones, they are a lot cheaper. You upload a picture of the stick to the app and it gives you an actual figure for your LH level. I know my app says to keep testing for a few more days in case you missed your actual peak. I tested until CD 23 (when I ran out of tests!) last time and saw my LH go back down to 0.02

@pontipinemum oh that's really useful! I may have to order some of those if I end up being out this month ready for the next cycle! Secretly hoping I don't have to.....but hey ho! 🥰

@KM8 with CB you shouldn’t test again after peak. I think it says in the instructions it’ll just give you a O if you test again! That’s the only pain I find with them is questioning if the peak was the real peak 😂

Hi all. I have been using CB ovulation sticks but didn't last month because I had the hump about being ill and tbh I was super down about the whole thing as it was one year since my first MC and I was also sulking about the fact if I hadn't had that my son would already have a sibling. BUT you can't be a misery about everything so I've decided to get back on it this month. Currently on holiday and AF is here. Would you all recommend the easy at home over the clear blues? I find it easy with the clear blues that you only need to test once a day but I think the easy at home require testing more than once? I have a really full on job and I can't really rely on being able to test at fixed times every day.

@hicketypickety hope you're having a great holiday! Why do periods always want to make an appearance during a holiday! Happened to me during summer!
It's so hard each month isn't it when AF arrives, but each month we are closer to getting there 🥰

@MrsHousePlant thank you! That's exactly what I mean.....I'm hoping my peak was a true peak!! Got a bit of light cramping and I'm really hoping it's ovulation ❤️

Thanks... No he's very supportive and sympathetic but he's not as obsessive as e and still likes to go out for a drink/ have a hot bath and all I can think of is is he killing the sperm 🤦🏽‍♀️ I need to chill out I think it's only been a few months trying for us so far! But easier said than done!

Well my estrogen dropped this morning and now Mira is predicting ovulation is three days away sigh
Cheapie LH tests still negative. I’m starting to think I can’t trust clearblue for me.

@KM8 it's interesting I like to be able to see the actual reading. Mine is actually already going down, and I def did feel a little twingy around lunch time. We dtd last night so should be covered, but will do tonight/ tomorrow/ prob day after too to be sure. I think you ovulate 24/48 hours after your surge.

What does CB show you? Hopefully you don't need the easy at home and I never see the CB one!

@rupertbear91 I get what you mean. Well if it's just a few drinks and not wild parties every weekend I think he should be fine. IDK anything about hot baths. My DH still smokes which annoys me because I know that's bad for fertility. Also he was sick last month when TTC but I don't think I can blame him for that!

It's maybe 5/6 drinks when he does go out... we have different opinions of a few drinks! Oh no that's so frustrating he was unwell. Mines a teacher and I live I dread of him catching something over my fertile days! Again the crazy brain overthinking 😂

That is annoying him still smoking mine gave up a few years ago but I guess if he's healthy in other ways it can't do too much harm?

Day 4 of flashing smileys, I only have 1 test left so hoping I get my static smiley tomorrow. I think we'll skip DTD tonight & try again tomorrow & Thursday.

@hicketypickety I've used both, currently using CB as it shows when I'm in my high fertility & not just peak & my easy@home tests usually go from low - peak pretty quickly so I miss the few days beforehand. I think if I'm not successful this month I'll go back to the strips because the digitals are so expensive!!

AF arrived this morning, looking forward to trying again next month🤞

@rupertbear91 that doesn't sound too bad. I haven't had a drink since last Christmas! I BF and while I know you can have a few drink I just couldn't face getting up any way groggy. DS is a ball of energy.

The smoking, it is a lot better than it was. He only has a few a day (3 I think). He was supposed to quit before DS was born. I used to smoke too so I know they can be a hard habit to kick but I wish he would.

I meant to attach this last night. I think I def had a peak yesterday. We dtd last night so fingers crossed.

Day 6 of CB flashing smiley today 🙄 CD 16 and nothing to be seen on the cheap strips.
This seems to happen though and I nearly give up, but then get a static around CD18.
So frustrating, just happen already!

Still no peak on my cheap LH strips, however they now do have a faint line so hoping it’ll peak tomorrow. I can’t keep telling DH that it’s my fertile window…..it’s only meant to be a few days but pinpointing it is difficult!
