@AFeastForCrows oooo congratulations!! ❤️ will wait for the news from the scan, are you doing an early one?

AnaFox · 07/05/2024 13:22

I'm not sure if I'll have an early scan actually... I had one at 7 weeks with my youngest because I was bleeding, but with my eldest I only had the 2 NHS scans 🤔

I'm going to have a think about it I guess 🤔

AnaFox · 07/05/2024 13:24

And regarding symptoms if this pregnancy is anything like the previous 2 I'll be regretting my words in 2 weeks 😅

I usually feel really tired from 11dpo and I don't feel more tired than usual 🤔 I should be around 13/14 dpo now.

Thank you ☺️

I’ve decided not to have an early scan. After the MC I’m very obsessive during this pregnancy and I think if I have an early one then I’ll just want another, then another.

plus I had an internal scan with the MC and I don’t think having another will help, I don’t really want to recreate that experience.

just trying to trust my body but it’s hard!

AnaFox · 09/05/2024 17:06

I think I might be miscarrying 🤔 I had spotting yesterday and today when I went number 2 I had spotting and a small clot, smaller than a pea. I tried to see if there was anything in the clot (sorry, yuck!) but it seemed like it was just blood.
I feel quite tired and dizzy sometimes but it might be all in my head 🤷🏻‍♀️
I have to wait and see... Nothing else to do right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

So sorry @AnaFox 😢 if you're over 6 weeks you can go to maternity unit and get a scan if bleeding. If under, then it really is just wait and see. I had bleeding on and off throughout first pregnancy and all was good and progressed nicely. Also had some but not as much with second and again, all good. Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻 xx

AnaFox · 09/05/2024 17:14

Ah that's good to know for the future if I need. I'm only 4 weeks at the moment so I have to wait and see 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your words ❤️ still clinging to hope, trying not to get attached, but at the same time....

8DPO and think it's the earliest I've ever got something on an easy@home test....... 👀

Oooh I see it!! Exciting! 😊 Let us see the line progression please 🤩

I'm ok, thank you for asking! ❤️ I had no spotting yesterday or today. Still quite tired and sleepy. I've been testing until yesterday and the lines were getting darker. I stopped and I'm just going to wait and see (unless I get the urge to test again 😅). I've also been having light cramps, which I also had with both kids in the beginning of the pregnancy.

WhatTheEll · 11/05/2024 18:19

@AnaFox Thank you 💚

And all those signs sound very positive. I got cramping too with both mine and tiredness early on. You can tell when it's pregnancy tiredness (mine is always late afternoon onwards and you can feel it behind your eyes) 😆

WhatTheEll · 11/05/2024 18:29

😮😮 what a difference 10 hours makes! Considerably darker 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 really need to reign the testing in 🫣🫣

Oh loving that line, so much more visible 🤩

And yes, I feel exhausted and sooo sleepy 🥴 like I slept 1 or 2 hours yesterday lol

I wake up feeling like I need to keep sleeping after 9h of sleep 😅

WhatTheEll · 11/05/2024 18:52

@AnaFox oh gosh I remember that feeling so well! Have you told your DH yet? DC? How exciting! 🥰🥰

WeightoftheWorld · 11/05/2024 19:48

Hey ladies, just popping in as I saw your updated and have my fingers firmly crossed for you both!!

I'm almost 17 weeks now, have had HG again as expected so it's been super rough but I'm on a phased return to work now and recovering. Hoping in another month I should be finally rid of it all based off my last pregnancies. Also got told I have low papp-A this time which I'd never even heard of before, so that increases various risks, and means I'm now consultant led for the first time and will have extra scans later on and been put on aspirin. So been feeling quite stressed and uncertain about it all, waiting anxiously for my anatomy scan and the extra scan I will have soon after (uterine Doppler artery scan). Hope they will both ok so I can start to relax a little!

Anyway all the best to you both!!

@AnaFox oh gosh I remember that feeling so well! Have you told your DH yet? DC? How exciting! 🥰🥰

Yes I told my husband right away when I did the first 2 tests and couldn't believe they were positive 🤣 I was in denial, total disbelief 😅

Then when I picked up the kids I told them. My 8yo daughter was happy but slightly in shock because I had told her that it was probably not going to happen, as we'd been trying for almost 1y and nothing, she had said "if we can't have a baby we have to get a dog!" 😅 I told her "sorry babe, we're not going to be able to have a dog after all" 😅😅
My 4yo was so funny, my husband was showing him the test, explaining that a cross meant that there was a pregnancy and he asked "are you pregnant daddy?" 🤣🤣🤣 Then we said mummy is pregnant and he came to me and gave me the biggest hug and kissed my belly 🥹🥹🥹

I've told them that sometimes things happen and the pregnancy can't continue, so they know that these stories don't always have a happy ending. I think it's better to normalise this, as it's part of life ❤️

Oh and we called my in laws to tell them yesterday and we wanted to do a bit of a mysterious introduction before showing the test and my 4yo in the middle of the initial conversation about something else started shouting non stop "mummy has a baby in her belly!!!!!" 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ So much for the suspense! 😅

WhatTheEll · 11/05/2024 21:26

@AnaFox oh my god your DC sound so cute!! I completely agree about normalising pregnancy and everything that could come with it. I would do exactly the same ❤️
Your 8yo sounds very mature.

Keep us all posted on your progression please. Are you doing an early scan?

Funniest thing happened this morning....I did my test and got the faint line, and then my 20 month old had my phone and was playing In the Night Garden music via Spotify. She came off the app and I heard "mummy help" and I took the phone and she was in the Badger App (NHS midwife pregnancy app).....now when I say my phone has 100's of apps and not in folders, that's no joke! 😆 The chances of her being in that app! It just made my stomach dip....hopefully this is it 🙏🏻

Hey! Congrats at 17 weeks 💚 fabulous news.

The Aspirin thing is very normal, in fact I think they should give it as bog standard in every pregnancy as it increases blood flow (unless of course you're allergic or have blood thinning issues!).
Consultant led will mean more attention on everything you need. I know it sounds scary, but extra tests and scans are only a good thing to keep a close eye. Chances are, you probably won't need a consultant for much of it. Keep us posted ❤️

Hi everyone. I also came on here for a little check and wanted to say congratulations to all of those who’ve had their positive tests! ✨❤️

I am 23 weeks now and apart from horrific morning sickness between weeks 5 and 13 it’s probably been the easiest pregnancy I’ve had so far. We’re also having our first girl after 2 boys!🥹

I hope that’s you’re all okay! x

Ahhh I’ve also just seen these updates and very happy for all of you, wishing you well especially those in the early stages.

Not been a snifter of anything for me and we have decided definitely to give up by August (when I turn 43!). But, this is one of these quietly hopeful months as I’m having weird symptoms - randomly dealing with a very clogged milk duct, 2yrs after stopping bf. And bouts of queasiness. But I didn’t get nausea at this stage with previous pregnancies, and I had neg test today at 8-10DPO, not sure exactly when ovulated. Fingers crossed!

Hi! Omg HG must be so horrid 🤦🏻‍♀️
I had never heard of low papp-a I had to Google it! I hope you don't get any problems from it! How did the dr find out?
I hope the extra scans and tests find your baby as perfect as can be! ❤️

I hope my sickness lasts exactly that! I'd be really happy! My 1st got better at 12 weeks, but my second only got better at 17 weeks!
