Any other lurkers out there patiently (or impatiently!) waiting to TTC in the new year?

Anything in particular you're doing to prepare?

Great news it's not arrived yet @StampOnTheGround, loads of people get no early symptoms! Still have my fingers crossed for you.

My daydream ended abruptly yesterday 😔 AF arrived CD28 so my shortest cycle yet. Really painful too! The witch 😆

I was upset again to be honest, which I know is silly this early. But at least means can focus on another chance to try rather than being in limbo. Trying to remain hopeful.

Ahh that wicked witch, sorry she made an appearance! 😩 but it is better than being in limbo and I have everything crossed that this month is your month.

CD32, I would test in a couple of days if she doesn't appear (although I am starting to get all the signs she's coming!)

My cycles are either 33 days or the next longest is 29, so I'll expect her to appear on Thursday making me CD1 again then - but for now we wait!

This sounds promising @StampOnTheGround, I hope you make it safely past CD33 🤞🤞 keep me updated!

@skyerojo I've just done a test and there are 2 lines 😳 (naughty as I should have waited a couple of more days!)

I'm in shock - not the darkest of lines and it was an early detection one, so it looks like it was another longer cycle and maybe our last 'go' caught!

I'm not going to test for a few days, try not to get caught up in staring at the lines wondering if they're darker!

I'm going to tell my husband after the next test and do something cute with my DS to announce to him - see if I can manage to keep my mouth shut. I think I'll be happier after the next test is hopefully a dye stealer and then I can tell him and make it all official (in real life, not just on mumsnet!)

I'm feeling good thank you, a few period type pains which is why I thought AF was coming, I'm really not even sure why I tested haha!

I have everything crossed for you for this cycle, so hopefully you're just behind me 🤞🏻

Only me and my husband know currently - I did another test today (on about my 5th wee of the day, so it wasn't a dye stealer but a strong positive still).

Going to do a digital in the morning and see where I'm at.

Hi @skyerojo , I’m 7DPO now so starting to get itchy feet and ignoring thoughts about taking tests 😂

If we are unsuccessful this time then I will go ahead with pre-evaluation fertility tests from our GP. My partner’s already done his semen analysis and it came back all clear, I need to wait until day 2-5 of my cycle to do my blood tests. So let’s see . Either way there is a plan :) and it’s out of my control, I’ve done everything I can so can just chill I suppose!

haha im trying to finish my dissertation that’s due on 2nd September, I’m currently 7 and a half thousand words down out of 14k. So lots to keep me busy. How about you?

I'm due AF in next few days and my optimism is dropping...

Hi @skyerojo ! 9DPO, haven’t tested yet, trying not to. My app says to test a week today so it’ll either be AF coming for me or that test, here’s hoping we will both get a chance to test :)

@Timeforacutie good restraint! I don't usually test just wait for AF, but did actually do one last night and was negative. Might try one more in the morning tomorrow when I'm 12dpo otherwise giving up for this cycle.

I was naughty and tested a little early and it was negative, a few days later (must have been a longer cycle) and I was positive - so fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

This is cycle 8, month 10.

Sorry just seen this, I didn't have any symptoms before my positive test and nothing really till 6 weeks I'd say.

All is good with me thank you, I had my 12 week scan yesterday and all is looking good - due date 31st March! 😊

Hi @StampOnTheGround glad your pregnancy is progressing smoothly, I hope you have an uneventful few months :)

TTC took a big backseat for me this month as I start investigating our “sub fertility”. Pre referral fertility blood tests indicated I might have a thyroid issue so I’m waiting to retest to confirm this, in the mean time we have been referred to the fertility clinic with the NHS. I think once I knew it might be years instead of months before I get pregnant then it kind of changed the game for me - not completely in a bad way.

Husband and I really felt like this was going to be our month, but period actually arrived today. So honestly, feeling low and trying to ignore the worry x

I’m 26 (tomorrow) and husband is 25. We’ve been trying since May but no success yet. We’ve added in pregnacare and fertility friendly lube this month and I took a break from OPK and just DTD every day/ every other day. Not convinced I’ve ovulated and feeling really down about it all. There are pregnancy announcements left right and centre on my social media
