Any other lurkers out there patiently (or impatiently!) waiting to TTC in the new year?

Anything in particular you're doing to prepare?

@WonderingAboutBabies ow this sounds magical, so happy for you 🥹 when do you think you might start sharing your news?

@StampOnTheGround fingers crossed for you! keep me updated. happy with the timing of your fertile period 'activities' 😆? what's your plan, wait for missed period? 🤞

@skyerojo well, I think so? Haha. With the range of 25-33 days, I was fine if it was in the 25-27 day schedule, possibly 28/29 too but not if it was one of my longer ones - which are rare!

Yes, I can be disciplined enough to not test until what would be CD34 as I would know that it's definitely weird for me!

How are you doing?

Timeforacutie · 09/06/2024 15:57

Hi @skyerojo Tempdrop is an armband that measures your BBT, you wear it overnight . It means you don’t have to wake up at the same time everyday to take your BBT.

Hope June is going well for everyone!

I found this link on Fertility Friends which is quite helpful and encouraging in case it helps anyone else: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/pregnancy_chances.html

Itstime2023 · 10/06/2024 08:39

I'm one day late from my period. I took a test today but negative :( hoping I just took it too early. But have a feeling it's not a go this month!

skyerojo · 11/06/2024 13:48

@StampOnTheGround cycle twins! This sounds q similar to me, I'd also prob start thinking something was up if I hit cd34 with nothing 👀. Roughly how many DPO do you think you are?

All good here, if had to guess I think I'm 1DPO today. Would say poss in with a chance this month, but will try not to overthink!

@Timeforacutie that sounds super useful, I know morning temping just isn't me but armband I could probs get onboard with!

@Itstime2023 that does happen, fingers crossed for you it's just taking its sweet time! Do you feel like you've had any symptoms of anything? How many cycles have you been trying for now?

Well I think I calculated wrong. I'm actually day one late today. Anyway tested again and negative. Not even any hint of faint line.

First proper cycle of trying this time round. The last 6 months have just been crazy with illness etc we never managed to properly try.

So I'm counting my blessings that it's still early days as I know a lot of people do struggle to conceive.

StampOnTheGround · 13/06/2024 15:10

@skyerojo - super exciting! Honestly, I have absolutely no idea 😂

I just know I'm currently CD25 and I'd be on tomorrow based on my shortest cycle but would be on in 9 days based on my longest - which really isn't useful!

@Itstime2023 - remember you're not out until it arrives! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

skyerojo · 18/06/2024 21:32

How's everyone getting on?

About 8dpo over here and been noticing q a few minor things but nothing enough for me to feel different to normal!

OP posts:
skyerojo · 22/06/2024 10:43

Well I've made it to 12dpo without fully losing my mind yet. It's a longer wait than you'd think isn't it 🫠

@StampOnTheGround & @Itstime2023 been hoping for good news from your corner, did AF stay away? 🤞

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 23/06/2024 21:48

Hey @skyerojo - fingers crossed for you!

I had one of my random long cycles so it was 33 days long, which would have meant I was never in with a chance as we didn't do it late enough in the cycle when ovulation would have occurred 😂

It's for the best really, I am at a hen do next weekend and am a big drinker on those occasions so I wouldn't have silently got away with it anyway!

Will make sure I cover all bases this month!

skyerojo · 23/06/2024 21:58

Ahhh bummer sorry to hear @StampOnTheGround, mine ended up being one of my shorter ones at 29 days but probs for the best as I would've started really getting my hopes up I think!

I also now plan to thoroughly enjoy the next few weeks doing things I wouldn't be able to otherwise. This weather is perfect for a hen do and lots of summer drinks 🥂 have fun.

Onto the next...

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 01/07/2024 20:40

How are you doing @skyerojo?

The hen do was great, it definitely wouldn't have been the same experience if I had been pregnant.

Hope you've been enjoying the things we'll miss out on when we are pregnant!

I think this month will be one of my shorter cycles, I'm currently CD10 and noticing signs of impending ovulation since yesterday. Hoping to do it daily or every other day over the next few days - with a couple of extra ones really late incase I'm completely off and it's a long cycle again!

skyerojo · 01/07/2024 21:15

Ahh I'm so glad @StampOnTheGround, the perfect distraction! And sounds like you've got a good action plan coming up 😆

On reflection I was actually really disappointed last month as definitely felt in with a chance BUT genuinely feel bit excited at chance to try again.

I don't think I'll track anything but like you I'll probably vaguely spot the signs anyway! Hoping things will line up ok for us this cycle, as quite busy this week and next... 🤞

How are you getting on @WonderingAboutBabies? How are you feeling these days?

OP posts:
WonderingAboutBabies · 02/07/2024 18:58

Hi @skyerojo thank you for asking! 😊 hopefully everything lines up for you this month!

I'm now 13 weeks and feeling really good! Most of my symptoms have gone, just got an achey back and a growing bump! Still feels very surreal and I don't believe it most of the time 😅😅

skyerojo · 03/07/2024 22:20

Ahh that sounds great @WonderingAboutBabies so pleased for you 🥰

OP posts:
skyerojo · 08/07/2024 15:09

Hey @StampOnTheGround how are you getting on, you now in the TWW?

Did you end up ovulating early? Hope you were still able to get your timings right? Not sure we have this month but oh well it's been nice and relaxed at least!

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 08/07/2024 15:41

Hey @skyerojo - I have absolutely no idea really 😂 I guess I'll find out when my period comes or if it doesn't, but let's see.

I'm currently CD17, so early part of the TWW - but I will try and have sex a couple more times in case it's one of my 33 day cycles again (which is unlikely but I'll rather cover myself which I didn't do last month!)

What day are you on now?

Nice and relaxed is definitely the best way! 😊

skyerojo · 08/07/2024 17:22

Ok great @StampOnTheGround well at least we can keep eachother company! I'm CD16, and if I had to guess I'd say this is going to be one of my shorter ones again, going to guess myself as maybe 1DPO today?!

Wonder if actually this is finally my cycle settling after the pill, noticing it's been coming down by a day most months since January. Settling at round 28/29 days would be fine with me though, so can it stop there now please 😆

Feeling it would be very unlikely for us this month if I'm realistic, but you never know! Think this will be two weeks of mild optimism...

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 11/07/2024 10:19

@skyerojo yes definitely! This is feeling like the slowest cycle ever. Hopefully yours is settling at 28/29 days, when do you think you would test if it got that far this month?

I think I'd still do CD34 because of my couple of 33 day cycles, they tend to be every few months though, so I'd be surprised if it was that long again but you never know!

Mild optimism sounds good to me 🤞🏻

skyerojo · 13/07/2024 14:22

@StampOnTheGround yes same I'd wait quite a long time after late period just to feel confident enough that it might really be positive! And also because of chance of it being one of my rouge longer ones etc.

How are you feeling? I'd guess myself around 6dpo right now and nothing to report really

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 15/07/2024 22:42

@skyerojo - definitely a good idea!

CD24 here and no idea how I'm feeling haha, why do early pregnancy symptoms and about to come on your period symptoms have to be so similar? So annoying 😂

How are you doing?

skyerojo · 16/07/2024 14:41

Hey @StampOnTheGround I'm also CD24, at least we're in this together! This is your second month too right?

If I'm honest, still nothing to report. Depending on my mood I can convince myself of a few symptoms but so minor and probably normal cycle stuff. Boring 😆

What about you? We both thought this might be one of our shorter ones right, so you noticing anything promising whilst on the final stretch? I'm due AF this weekend I reckon.

Not to be doom & gloom but I'm just not feeling jt this month. Would love to be proved wrong obviously, but for now assuming not my month and any other outcome would be a lovely surprise!

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 17/07/2024 09:21

@skyerojo - yes we are in this together!!

Yes cycle number 2 over here as well (although because it was a long cycle last month, I didn't actually have sex when I needed to - so it is my second cycle but I didn't actually give myself a chance! 😂)

Haha I get that, I think I'd convinced myself of a couple of symptoms but this morning I'm convinced that my period is coming in the next couple of days.

I think I'm feeling the same, but you never know - keep our fingers crossed! 😊

skyerojo · 20/07/2024 22:43

This has felt like a loooong two weeks! How are you getting on @StampOnTheGround?

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 22/07/2024 08:39

So so long @skyerojo - nothing to report here, CD31 and no period but also definitely do not feel pregnancy, another long cycle by the looks of it which is abnormal!

How are you getting on?
