@worldwidetravel2017 I had a scan not long after my MC in June 2022, all came back clear.
I have B12 injections regularly anyway through my GP as I am deficient in that.

I’ve heard a lot of recommendations about the book it starts with an egg. I think I’ll have a look on Amazon and order it.

how are you getting on @VixFromThe6ix ? Xxx

FigandHoney · 09/10/2023 14:51

Hmm. I didn't realise how big of a problem plastics were. Maybe I need to consider changing things.

@happytobemrsg I think the problem is that before AF is due all "pregnancy symptoms" are basically just your body reacting to the progesterone in your system. So really they are just signs that you have ovulated and are in that second half your cycle. I think the only more out if the normal one is implantation spotting. But that's very rare. And some people spot for other reasons.

@CurlyWurly1991 are you just relying on the EWCM to tell you when you are approaching ovulation? I had loads of it last cycle but wasn't sure I ever actually ovulated becayse my cycle ended up being so weird. This cycle I had only one and a half days of it. But based on ovulation sticks and bbt pretty sure I did ovulate.

@SnookyPook Sorry the pre-AF signs are showing. I also always get bowel movements just before AF. But then the cycle I was pregnant with my son I did suffer from the same at the start of pregnancy. Do you never know.

@El1988 That podcast is so right about the TTC life being subdivided in two week blocks. Its one of the things I HATE about TTC that hyper awareness of time

FigandHoney · 09/10/2023 14:53

@worldwidetravel2017 Is there a particular reason you asked about implantation bleeding? I have never had it with my pregnancy with my son. But I have been on loads of threads were it was indeed a sign of pregnancy

FigandHoney · 09/10/2023 15:11

Think I am 6dpo today. And literally no symptoms whatsoever. Was feeling a bit emotional and teary eyed yesterday. But not sure if that was hormonal or circumstantial. Feeling fairly relaxed about it not happening this month though. Might change when I get nearer to AF. But it is only our second cycle TTC our second. I think last cycle the odd cramping and spotting just really made me think it was in fact implantation

Didnt have implantation bleeding with the then early miscarriage pregnancy

Had some 'brown blood / potential implantation bleeding
But then its if its body / cycle gone awol simce early miscarriage - & if its guna then into proper period or not - probably will

FigandHoney · 09/10/2023 16:44

@worldwidetravel2017 At what dpo was that. Was it just a little? Have you had any since?
From the once I saw / read being a positive sign. It was only a little bit. And always light brown or pink. And not for an extended period of time.
Although even knowing that last month my body tricked me and got my hopes up

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/10/2023 17:33

Yeah.. my hormones / emotions are all over the show
I expect it will turn into a proper period
But at the moment its not much and no where near a proper / usual period

VixFromThe6ix · 09/10/2023 18:01

I've been pregnant now 4 times and never had implantation spotting. I always find it interesting that all our bodies work so differently. I really only got into EWCM once we started trying again this year. I actually never knew anything about it. Never noticed anything but now that I paid attention I definitely saw it increase before ovulation.

@H0pefull I'm ok thank you for asking 💖 I feel nothing the last several days. My ultrasound is not till the 23rd so I'm just in another waiting limbo. I wish there was a way to tell that everything is ok in the meantime.
How are you doing?

Cressie2 · 09/10/2023 20:19

@SnookyPook sorry to hear AF might be on her way. Hopefully not, are you going to test at all or wait and see if AF arrives?

I was the same as you @VixFromThe6ix , no implantation bleeding with previous. I did feel a very sharp pain in one of my ovaries though at the time. Hoping your ultrasound goes well ❤️

@FigandHoney thats a good attitude to have. I’m going to try and take a chilled approach to this month and enjoy autumn whilst it’s here. The TWW is hard so going to keep busy and not obsess about it, what will be will be.

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/10/2023 20:39

@FigandHoney I’m also temping and OPKing, I tend to have a good amount of EWCM that usually precedes ovulation for a few days so I know it’s coming. On CD11 and OPKs very faint with not much EWCM about so think it’ll be a few days yet til o arrives.
@VixFromThe6ix it’s such early days for symptoms, I didn’t have any with my daughter until about 5.5 weeks, when the morning sickness started. I did have spotting from 9dpo, wouldn’t call it implantation bleeding as it just kept going and I don’t recall when exactly it stopped. All was well.

Supertrooper101 · 09/10/2023 20:39

Well 4dpo for me.. did bbt for the first time, quite impressed how the temps drop then spike once ovulated lol spoke to the nurse today as i had day 21 bloods done, then asked for a few more on top lol is amh and dhea a fertility clinic thing does anyone know? Her nhs system didnt even bring them up. She also said it was quite strange how i havent conceived since the mmc in april. Made me feel abit shitty tbf so now back to thinking the D&C has caused scarring 🤦‍♀️🙆‍♀️.. ill see what my bloods say 1st lol @SnookyPook think your in the same position as me with the timing of the mmc arnt you?

SnookyPook · 09/10/2023 22:50

@Supertrooper101 yeah, mine was April too. I did have a CP last cycle but that's all I've got to show. I think that's a really bizarre, insensitive and shitty thing to have said to you tbh! It's half a year this month... considering it can take a couple of months for your system to recover etc, I don't think it's that odd to have not conceived again?! We were basically back to square 1 so... 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe it's the whole "you should be more fertile after a MC" thing again 😌😑

@Cressie2 not quite sure if I'll test in the morning or wait another couple of days. AF should deffo be here by then if she's on her way so.... will see how I feel in the morning.

I've never had implantation bleeding either. I also don't get tons of ewcm - without opks I wouldn't be at all confident I could pinpoint days! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Catson · 10/10/2023 01:28

Sorry to jump on, but I had implantation bleed with my first, around 9dpo. It was watery red when I wiped followed by brown later on, and that was it. I know everyone is different but hope this helps

I am TTC number 2, currently approx 6dpo and symptom spotting for no apparent reason

SouthwestSis · 10/10/2023 08:01

Morning ladies,

Im CD7 here and feeling a bit rubbish because I've drunk more alcohol and had a worse diet than I wanted to over the last 7-10 days.
I've been away with work so no cooking my own meals, just eating on the go and a culture of alcohol every evening and I'm finding it really hard to make better choices!
Going to do a quick 15 minute YouTube dancercise thing to try and start today off right!

H0pefull · 10/10/2023 09:06

@VixFromThe6ix oh bless you, the waiting is just the worst isn't it and the 23rd seems like forever away! I hope it passes quickly for you or you start to get some symptoms, maybe that would put your mind at ease?

I feel ok thank you, just still really down but trying to pick myself up. My referral letter from the GP says that if I haven't heard from the clinic by tomorrow then I need to contact them, so hopefully by the end of the week I will have at least a date for my first appointment. My Flo app says i'm due to Ovulate on Thurs, however PreMom says Saturday, so will continue with OPKs and hopefully find a happy medium lol.

@SnookyPook , everything crossed for you that AF doesn't arrive!

FigandHoney · 10/10/2023 09:31

Good morning everyone

@VixFromThe6ix I think it's pretty normal not to have many symptoms of pregnancy at the start. It take a while before the hormones build up enough to give you morning sickness and sore boobs. But I totally get how anxious you are feeling waiting for the scan. Back in my pregnancy with my so I went a bit wild with pregnancy tests. Must have spent a fortune. Wishing the days go quickly until you get to see your little bean on a scan.

@H0pefull Hope you gear back for an appointment soon.
I would agree to just keep testing until you get a positive opk. And try and DTD in the meantime every couple of days if you can.

@SouthwestSis Sorry you are feeling a bit rubbish about yourself. But you also need to have a bit of fun in your life. Then just get back on the horse.
I am currently trying yo lose weight with slimming world and just be a bit healthier in general.
I went wild on the holiday this weekend.
But am back on the horse now.

@catson what symptoms are you spotting 😜 We are around the same point in our cycle. It's so hard not yo symptom spot

@SnookyPook If you can hold out, I would definitely try and wait to test until AF is due.

@Supertrooper101 I agree that was a really shitty thing to say to you. What exactly are you supposed to do with that information apart from get stressed. Sorry about that

@CurlyWurly1991 Ah that's good you get lots of EWCM as a pregnancy O warning.

@Cressie2 That's a good udea. Keeping busy and enjoying autumn. I allowed myself a pumpkin spice latte yesterday despite being on a diet. I love them!

7dpo today. And I have a really bad stomach today. Sorry for tmi. Lots of bowel movements and Gas. It makes me worried that AF is going to come early again this cycle. As I usually get this right before AF. But it should still be at least 5 days away. But last cycle I started spotting at 9dpo

Catson · 10/10/2023 11:05

@FigandHoney sore boobs, cramps last night, nausea yesterday and this morning. But I'm only 6/7dpo so it's not possible to be actual proper symptoms. Just my brain in overdrive

H0pefull · 10/10/2023 12:45

I rang the hospital today as I got the date wrong on my referral and should of had an appointment through by now. They said in a nutshell that I am just on an indefinite wait list because of how busy referrals are and they can't give me any kind of time frame of when I should have an appointment.
Obviously I understand the strains on the NHS and there is nothing that can be done about that, so i am looking into going private to see if it is an option. I have a good private healthcare through work, but unfortunately fertility isn't covered.
I am wondering if anybody has any guidance on where to start with this? I'm not sure where to start or what I even need to be booking / looking at, it's a little overwhelming. All I know is that I've had previous MCs and can't get pregnant again but not sure I can ring somewhere and just say that lol. I have had internal scans in the last year and all came back clear.

I am in the North West, UK if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any tips xx

Have you spoken to tommys?
Could you travel to a tommys clinic?

worldwidetravel2017 · 10/10/2023 15:48

Periods here. Gutted.
We will try again etc

Angelsrose · 10/10/2023 15:53

Sorry to hear that @worldwidetravel2017

Catson · 10/10/2023 16:15

@worldwidetravel2017 ahh no, have a wine and some chocolate tonight and we go again next month

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/10/2023 19:44

Sorry to hear it @worldwidetravel2017
and to everyone else expecting AF….

Waiting for ovulation here. Have started taking a supplement for oestrogen balance following my blood tests and now on CoQ10 as well.
OPKs are the lightest they’ve ever been (like barely a line at all) but other signs pointing to impending ov. Could be anytime really with my cycles having been so unpredictable, now I think high oestrogen is the cause of my cycle irregularities.

Pineappleapple · 10/10/2023 20:06

Will avoid that James blunt song!
Have been referred for blood test day 2-5 of cycle. That's hard to predict though. I could go by what my app says. But this month I had light bleeding for one day, spotting for 2 then proper heavy period. So any idea what would count as cycle day 1 (so I can try and work out when next due?!)
Obviously can rearrange but on a work day would like it not to be super inconvenient
