@VixFromThe6ix I’m so happy for you. I appreciate that you might want to be guarded now but you have to celebrate all the wins. Praying it all works out for you ❤️

Thank you @Angelsrose @happytobemrsg Your comment about Monica really made me chuckle tonight.

@Bumblebee413 sending you lots of hugs and hope that you enjoy the biggest glass of wine tonight. I will be joining you tomorrow on that one when AF arrives. Already got the bottle in the fridge (and the straw.. jk).

@SnookyPook That really does sound promising 🤞🏻Hopefully the next week or two will go well, are you going to test or roll with it?

@SouthwestSis It’s tough when you fight with your DH. Take some time out for you and look after yourself. He’s probably going through his own shit too but men lock it down. It’s stressful trying to conceive which doesn’t help if you’re feeling stuck or in a bad place in your relationship. As hard as it is, try to remember that they are your best friend/try and do something new and fun with him?

When in doubt, drive to a beach. So good for the soul and resetting ❤️

@FigandHoney Methylfolate is superior to the cheap folic acid and for the vast majority works well. The book did say in rare cases it can cause anxiety and I thought - yes! I didn’t imagine it last cycle! I had to stop after 3 days of Proceive which I was gutted about. Then I didnt ovulate that cycle so… maybe I won’t try it and leave DH to take my remaining tablets.
@VixFromThe6ix what annoying timing. If you choose delay, how long does that give you? I see you had quite a tough time conceiving your boy. I think our expectations were unrealistic because we got pregnant first cycle with our daughter, but I was 26 so a lifetime ago!

FigandHoney · 05/10/2023 20:36

@VixFromThe6ix Ph. Yes that it's really bad timing isn't it. So by how long dies it delay things if you choose delay?
I can't remember when can you see the heartbeat again? 8 weeks. It did feel like ages away for us last time.
Also took us close to 2 years last time. So I don't have any hopes it will happen quickly this time. If at all. I know quite a few people with secondary infertility issues.

VixFromThe6ix · 05/10/2023 20:37

@Cressie2 you sound like me :) I always tell everyone to celebrate all the wins no matter how small. I guess we were happy that we got pregnant considering my hubby's swimmers were rated as poor- fair. To be honest his results completely deflated my hopes so even if this isn't meant to last it's good to know we are still able to get pregnant. Thank you for encouraging words.

@CurlyWurly1991 if we choose to delay we are going to the bottom of the pile. In August/ September we were told the wait would be 6 months which I thought ok that gives us 6 cycles to try IUI. But if our funding would be available as early as January that means the wait is a little shorter at 4-5mos. I guess that's not terrible if we choose to delay. I have to talk to our fertility doctor to see what she thinks is the right thing to do. I just wish I had more time to respond

The delay works be probably around 4-6mos. Not terrible but that puts me closer to 41.
I think heartbeat ultrasound is around 7-8weeks. I remember how much the time dragged on with our son. That's all the way beginning of November. I have no patience with these things, that's obvious
And I agree with you. I felt quite frustrated after a few months trying this time around because everyone kept saying second time you get pr gnant no p problem and quickly. Like who started this rumour?? We had unforeseen issues this time around.
I hope you have an easier journey this time around. 🤞🏻🙏❤️

RoseH36 · 05/10/2023 22:13

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you, if its another unsuccessful cycle I'll look into that for DH. Can you try the proceive tablets rather than the sachets? The dose isn't as high in them, I'm using them for the cost as can't justify the sachets.
Half way through my 2nd box now. I'm about to start cycle 5, 3 has been the longest it had taken to get pregnant in the past so feeling a bit like I've past my best before date.

@FigandHoney hats off to any woman parenting alone, I find it exhausting just having my 3 year old for a few hours by myself 😂 I literally don't know how they do it, absolute warriors!

@Cressie2 It's all so hit and miss isn't it? When we conceived with our son we literally only DTD once, can't remember if it was on my peak day or the one after. We've only been DTD twice a month which worked both times I've been pregnant since. But of course now I keep wondering why it's not working which I know is probably just me being daft and impatient.

@VixFromThe6ix I'm so thrilled for you and keeping everything crossed this is your time, we need a positive story in our group ❤️

El1988 · 05/10/2023 23:22

@VixFromThe6ix omg amazing!!! Congratulations, it’s soo nice to see some happy news! 🤞🤞🤞 that everything works out for you now! ❤️

@RoseH36 @El1988 thanks so much for the well wishes and 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. ❤️ returning these well wishes for you plus loads of baby dust

@RoseH36 Lol I’m probably past my best before date. I guesss that’s not surprising with all we are told about the decline in fertility. People still get pregnant and have healthy babies every day that are 35+!
Its the Proceive tablets that I was taking. Bit scared to touch them again if I’m honest because I don’t want another anovulatory cycle. Think I will stick with what I am on and maybe add a seperate CoQ10. I am already doing all the lifestyle things.

@FigandHoney it just takes one time! The more opportunities for conception make it more likely BUT we have to think about our energy levels, mental health, relationships too! I am not keen on the pressure and neither is DH, it’s a bit of a passion killer for us. So hats off to all those doing SMEP etc. Best case scenario we would all be dtd every 2-3 days throughout the cycle but that isn’t really how we roll…

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 06/10/2023 08:42

This month my period was a whole week late! 😱 So I'm putting a stop on the Proceive Max for now and taking separate CoQ10, Folic acid, Vitamin D etc supplements. I can't see what else would cause my period to be so late.

ETA: After reading It Starts With the Egg I went on a H&B spree 🤣

RoseH36 · 06/10/2023 08:57

@CurlyWurly1991 very valid point, I think it's easy to get into a rut when you hear a lot of negativity towards us at our ages but as you say there are plenty of women getting pregnant, many who are much older than us.

No idea how those of you doing SMEP manage, way too much energy required for me to attempt it 😂 I agree about it being a passion killer, having to time it every month is hardly romantic.

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn wow that's a long delay, not what you need when TTC, don't need any extra confusion thinking you might be when you aren't.

happytobemrsg · 06/10/2023 08:58

Sorry I missed your happy news @VixFromThe6ix !! So exciting!! Timing makes it difficult though. I think if it was me I’d accept & then withdraw later when the pregnancy progresses. Is that possible?

CBT was a revelation last night. Kinda flipped things on its head. Very interesting but meant I couldn’t sleep. Knackered this morning 😴
2DPO (predicted) here & I KNOW it’s too early to get any symptoms but I was woken up to some very strange pains. So I obviously convinced myself I had ovulated earlier & it’s actually implantation 😂 how on earth am I going to last 2 weeks??!

SnookyPook · 06/10/2023 10:51

@VixFromThe6ix oh my! That's wonderful! Absolutely get you feeling tentative but as you and others have said, it's important to celebrate the little wins isn't it 🥰 Hopefully everything goes well! ❤️

@happytobemrsg ahaha we do torture ourselves don't we?! I've somehow made it to 9dpo now without going tooooo mad! 😜

Hope everyone is well 💕

Angelsrose · 06/10/2023 11:04

Many congratulations @VixFromThe6ix Absolutely fantastic news.

happytobemrsg · 06/10/2023 11:35

When do you plan on testing @SnookyPook ? I’m hoping I can wait until AF is due/late but judging by this morning’s craziness that doesn’t seem likely

SnookyPook · 06/10/2023 11:39

@happytobemrsg I'll wait for AF and if she doesn't turn up then I'll test. Knowing early wouldn't really change anything except give me longer to worry about another CP etc so I will manage to hold off I think. Currently 9dpo... Few more days to go... 😬

worldwidetravel2017 · 06/10/2023 11:52

Does anyone add b6 into the mix daily ?
I do

Since early miscarriage

Ive read that b6 decreases miscarriage risk/ chance by 50 percent
And helps re progesterone

On a b12 as dr suggested it
Getting b12 level checked again next month

Getting full blood count , feretin , thyroid function test checked again next week

Cod 4 fri dinner later - b12

worldwidetravel2017 · 06/10/2023 11:54

Will be testing sunday & next week here

Chance feels kinda small this month & body being muddled since recent early miscarriage

H0pefull · 06/10/2023 12:58

Hi everyone,

Firstly thank you so much for all your lovely messages last week following my second chemical. Sorry for not replying, I took some time away as I was feeling really low; and still am if I’m honest. I feel like this is all consuming and I’m finding myself not wanting to socialise or go out, which is ridiculous but I just don’t know how to navigate this. Apologies for being dramatic again 😂😂

oh @VixFromThe6ix this is amazing!! biggest congratulations to you 🥰❤️ totally understand your anxieties, everything crossed for you that it all progresses okay for you, we are all here to support you!xx

SouthwestSis · 06/10/2023 13:12

Thanks for the pillow talks recommendation @FigandHoney I will definitely give that a listen, and your wise words @Cressie2.
I had a really good talk with OH yesterday which I hope will be a bit of a wake up call for him. Going to book some extra nursery half days for DC1 to try and reduce the stress levels all round!

Sorry to hear you've been feeling so low @H0pefull , we are all here for you. What do you thing might help you feel a bit more refreshed and restored? Are you managing to eat well, drink enough water, get out each day?

Can relate on the struggling
I start counselling next week
( early miscarriage last month )

Cressie2 · 06/10/2023 13:12

@H0pefull I’m so sorry. It’s ok to allow yourself to be upset about this, you’ve gone through a lot. It will take some time to process things but getting out and seeing people will help/or even doing something which you love, just for you. I hope you have a lovely weekend and can reset.

H0pefull · 06/10/2023 14:49

@SouthwestSis @Cressie2 thanks so much 🤍 my fiancé has been away this week so I think I’ve just let myself be a hermit and stay in the house. Planning to get out over the weekend before he’s home to try and pick myself up a bit. How are you both?

@worldwidetravel2017 sorry to hear about last month 🤍 was it you who mentioned hertility? I may have remembered the name wrong. I’m thinking of looking into that, would you say it’s worth the money?

Def worth the money re hertility health

Very detailed - very helpful results

Can also put on NHS record

Have u had a transvaginal scan to check structural / fibroids etc ?

Have u had your b12 - feretin & vit D blood tests ?

Had a nose @ the book it starts with an egg ?

Taking b6 ?

Ive taken b6 since early miscarriage - minimises miscarriage & helps progesterone apparently. Many say 100 mg a day helps them .#b6
