@happytobemrsg I’m CD 25 and 10DPO. Hoping it’s still too early for any HCG to show but AF due to arrive on Saturday so not feeling hopeful.

It sounds like your ovulation day is tomorrow but apps aren’t always right so I would take it as today and tomorrow just to be sure. Maybe check with a digital clear blue ovulation test? They are brilliant at showing when you’ve hit your peak surge.

@MrsBP15 Antigua will be incredible! Such a nice thing to look forward to as well and take your mind off things. Oh to be on a beach sipping Margaritas…

Maybe consider testing 14 dpo

SouthwestSis · 03/10/2023 10:00

Also negative for me when I tested at 12DPO yesterday. I'm right there with you ladies.
Will be focusing on nurturing myself ready for next cycle, just as soon as I can get these night shifts out of the way! 1 more to go, on my way home to sleep now.

Food is my go to for comfort. Has anyone got any comforting but nutritious dinner ideas I can use to lift my mood?

Lasagne?
We had a yummy curry last night with popodoms and naaaan too obv

I’m not sure I have it in me to DTD again 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 we’ve BD’d every day since CD6. Next cycle I’m doing every other day MAX!

Cycle we concieved on we tried 4 times in ovulation week / the week leading up to ovulation

Bumblebee413 · 03/10/2023 10:22

Thanks everyone. Sorry for being grumpy. My boobs are really sore so it just feels like a bit of a cruel trick! 😜 I’m definitely out I’m afraid- the test couldn’t have been clearer. I’m CD 31 today, usually expect AF on day 33/ 34. I don’t want to hold onto any more hope for this cycle- just going to focus on onwards and upwards and I will welcome AF when she comes as a sign that my body is doing what it needs to do. Felt really unwell with Covid last week, so I’m not hugely surprised.

I have very kindly given it to DH so he had to delay his return flight to work by a few days 🍾 so going to go have a date night and drink all the wine!

happytobemrsg · 03/10/2023 12:58

You’ve got the perfect attitude @Bumblebee413 Enjoy all the wine 🍷 🍷🍷🍷

Loads of EWCM here so maybe O day is tomorrow? Means we have to DTD tonight really but as much as I love my DH I’m not sure I can do 7 days in a row 😳

MrsBP15 · 03/10/2023 12:58

@Bumblebee413 yay for date night and ALL the wine 🍷

as you can see from the below, it is officially go time for me! So I’ll be ovulating tomorrow CD13 (I’m usually around 13/14/15) is this an ok amount of time for a follicular phase does anyone know? Dr Google says yes from what I can see…

@MrsBP15 looks like we will be testing together!

Cressie2 · 03/10/2023 15:00

@MrsBP15 Hurray! It’s GO time!! You may even ovulate today in the next 12 hours..

@worldwidetravel2017 will try and hold off to 14DPO but don’t think I’ll manage lol.

@SouthwestSis these recipes are fab for a nutritious pick me up

Either them or a bucket load of wine and chocolate. Fail proof.

Good morning ladies. Damn 69 posts since I last popped in. I have some catching up to do and promise to have a good read at lunchtime.
Things have been very busy for me with my husband away for the last few days and being single mom in that time. I don't know how people do it.
I am CD 14 today. And I usually ovulate at CD17. But I have been taking ovulation tests this month and I think I had my peak yesterday morning. It wasn't fully the same colour as the control line. But since them the test line has gotten liner. What do you think?
We tried to DTD a couple if times last week but got interrupted by our son waking up. And my husband only came back yesterday, so might have missed our chance. We did do it yesterday evening and this morning.
I am temping. But it takes 3 days to confirm ovulation and stupidly I missed a couple if nights last week.

MrsBP15 · 04/10/2023 12:23

Hi @FigandHoney I don't temp but I use OPKs. It looks like you had a positive test on CD12. Looks to me like the line is as dark as test line which makes it positive (either that or darker). From what I understand, you ovulate 12-24 hours after a positive OPK so it's recommended to DTD the day of a positive test and day after. We have been doing SMEP which we can do because neither of us work abroad or anything so trying to make sure sperm is there to meet the egg as soon as it's released. Though I should say we haven't had any success with it yet!

happytobemrsg · 04/10/2023 12:51

More EWCM here today (CD13 & predicted O day).

Wont BD tonight but I think we’ve had a good go 😂

FigandHoney · 04/10/2023 13:28

Thank you @MrsBP15 . The test line wasn't quite as dark as the control line but almost. Think the photo is a bit blurry. I think I will continue testing just in case. I suppose we did DTD on the day of the test and after. But I was hoping to do SMEP as well this month. Ah well.
So I think standard to the book cycles are 28 days with O at CD14. So I think you should be fine in terms of follicular phase length.

@VixFromThe6ix How are you doing. I am excited to read that you might in fact have your BFP!

@bumbl hope you had a lovely date night. Sorry you believe you are out. Although you aren't until the fat AF lady sings.

@happy Sounds like you probably already covered yourself. As sperm can stay in your system for several days. But I would say think of what you might feel like if AF comes. Will you be kicking yourself or will you be happy with having tried your best. Mental health always needs to come first.

FigandHoney · 04/10/2023 13:43

@BucksOxonMum Hope you feel better soon

@Pineappleapple e Sorry AF arrived. I am going to try my best not yo test unless AF is late. It's always such a mixture of emotions of disappointment when you get a BFN but residual hope if AF hasn't arrived yet. And with my son I didn't get a BFP until 3 days after AF was due.

@happytobemrsg Now that I have read more of the thread, I would add that without temping or opk tests, the advice for your best chance is to just do it every other day throughout your cycle.
The only way to confirm ovulation without an ultrasound is to temp. And the only way yo get a pre-warning of a potential ovulation is OPK tests.
Although EWCM and ovulation pain are very good indicators of potential ovulation.

MrsBP15 · 04/10/2023 15:20

@FigandHoney Another thing I've been doing is using OPKs and as the line start to get darker, using a few Clear Blues to confirm ovulation. This cycle I've only used three and so the box I bought is lasting me ages which helps saves the pennies a bit!

MrsBP15 · 04/10/2023 15:24

I had positive OPK and Clear Blue yesterday and we DTD last night. Husband was then in the mood again this morning before I went to work (I find sometimes his horniness aligns with mine for ovulation which is v handy 😂) just wondering if we should DTD again tonight as the morning sesh was a bonus round and actually only about 8 hours after the evening sesh. Any thoughts? I'm fine to do it again but equally don't want to overdo it if that makes sense 😝

Bex4567 · 04/10/2023 15:40

.

FigandHoney · 04/10/2023 15:48

@MrsBP15 I would say do it if your feeling it. But don't force yourself.
I once read that it's better to do it every other day to give the sperm time to build up again. But I don't know if that's scientically proven, so would take it with a grain of salt.
SMEP recommends once every other day and then every day for 3 days before ovulation. And once more after.
Right that was clear as mud 🙈

happytobemrsg · 04/10/2023 20:39

Thanks for your advice @FigandHoney As much as I want a night off I just can’t ignore EWCM 🤦🏻‍♀️ like you said, I don’t want to look back & regrett

Bumblebee413 · 04/10/2023 23:10

AF here, lots of wine drunk. Thank you and goodnight x

Angelsrose · 04/10/2023 23:33

@MrsBP15 I would recommend not DTD tonight. I found that SMEP wasn't helpful and it was when my partner and I DTD every 2 to 3 days instead of the daily SMEP, that we conceived. I've read that if any man's sperm count is less than ideal, SMEP or DTD every day can actually be unhelpful.

SnookyPook · 04/10/2023 23:53

@Bumblebee413 sending you a big old hug. Glad you've enjoyed a bit of vino. Onto the next cycle.... 💕

Cressie2 · 05/10/2023 06:33

@Angelsrose I am wondering if you are right as DTD eight days, eight bloody days I a row the week before ovulation, during and the day after this month, AF is due in a day or two and I am getting a stark white BFN each day. With my first child, DTD every second day (literally just on the day of the static smiley and about 36 hours after) and conceived first time around. I know that AF is about to come and trying not to get upset.

El1988 · 05/10/2023 07:49

@Bumblebee413 sending you a big hug and hoping that the wine helped ❤️
