Couldn’t find a thread so thought to create one and see who else will join the community!

Preparing to start TTC early October based on my cycle.

TTC: baby no.2
Age : 29
average cycle is 28 days for me 😊

Hello! Wanted to jump on this thread for a bit of support as driving myself crazy!
TTC Number 2, DS born Oct last year & wanted 2 close together, I've been tracking ovulation since May using OPKs and Premom App, starting "trying" back in July but October is first month of actually timing BD with ovulation. Got pregnant with DS after 2 cycles but I'm stressing myself out that this will take forever for number 2! To make it harder, SIL has JUST fallen pregnant (I was first call) so happy for her, but makes me more stressed!
Currently CD15, usual get a positive OPK on Day 19, DH has suggested BD everyday this week rather than just trying to time on ovulation day, keeping everything crossed for a positive OPK ASAP, then the dreaded TWW!

@beaniesunrise did you buy the tests? The cheap ones from amazon are good for early testing.

I've been so busy with work this week haven't kept up on here. I did a test earlier but at 9dpo it's a pure white BFN. I think I have noticed some symptoms this time though, I was quite moody the other day. Nauseous 2 days. And very bad heartburn which I haven't had since I was pregnant with DS.

Bit of advise.

3 weeks after my Period stopped (Not including random spotting) and my ovulation stick shows a faint line.

What does this MEAN!! Does it mean that I'm only just now going to ovulate?

(I'm one month post IUD removal)

Pregnancy tests that I randomly did because of being in a why not mood come up negative.

@Sitchervice download the premom app and upload a picture of that test. It will give you an LH reading. You can track your LH level, when you get a 'peak' it means you are about to ovulate. Those tests normally have 2 lines. The test line generally needs to be darker than the control line for your peak. (I say usually, I had a very low peak when I conceived DS)

@Sitchervice how often have you need testing? I try to test at least 2 x a day from around day 10 for LH, as soon as I get two lines I’ll sometimes even test more often until I get the peak. As someone else said download Premom and upload the pics to it, it will help you find your peak!

Morning all. Took some time away after my chemical in Sept. Now back and 7DPO also my first month tracking.
So many new faces! Comgrats to all the positives.

Had heartburn last night and after I woke up. Last time I experinced heart burn was when I was pregnant but started at 5weeks. I seen a few posts where the outcome was a BFP with HB at 7DPO. But after last month I am waiting until AF day or missed before testing. My LP is 13days so only 6days left.... Only.
My chart looks promising peogestrone high and temps high.

@Sitchervice I assume your werent using OPKs before now? 3 weeks after a period ends seems long. Are your cycles normally long (pre IUD)
The LH levels return to low after ovulation BUT your can have surges on the Luteal Phase but with no ovulation. That's why Fertility specialists will say to stop testing once your got a a surge especially with a more predictable cycle.

It is hard to tell with your results what aide of the cycle you are without teating earlier.

When I TTC my son I was irregular for an entire year post pill.

Before that the last time I was not on birth control was when I was a teen. My mum put me on birth control as soon as she could and basically had control over me until I went to uni and met my now husband.

this is all very stressful for me.

Welcome back! Sorry about your chemical. The symptoms you have now sound promising! Even though they're probably not enjoyable! Just a few more days and you'll know!! How do you feel otherwise?

On month 2 TTC number 2. I'm on cd11 and doing ovulation tests, no peak as yet but my cycles have been on the shorter side since coming off the pill (although still irregular). I thought I would have ovulated by now tbh with having shorter cycles unless I have a shorter luteal phase. it confuses me so much and so hard to figure out. Left me feeling like I should just take a step back next month try and relax and see what happens which is easier said than done but now I'm panicking that I don't even ovulate. Mind in overdrive. Anyone else driving theirselves crazy 😭

Can I ask a really dumb question… does cramping around the time AF is due tend to mean you are out or would this happen around that time if pregnant too?

Good luck!! Keep tracking yourself and if you never see a peak you can visit a gynecologist to check if you've ovulated!

Both happen around the same time unfortunately. Implantation happens around 8dpo to 12dpo so it could be Implantation cramps or period cramps!

13DPO and still no AF and BFNs 😞
Had period pains around 9DPO and sore boobs, but now nothing.
Just wish AF would hurry up if it's not my month 🤷‍♀️

@pontipinemum yess I went and bought 2 tests, 1 FRER and 1 CB double check with date 🙈 I didn’t want to buy the cheapies cos I wanted to wait to test haha so this should hold me off until Thursday!

6dpo today and now the time seems to be going by very slowly.. DC got a cold mid last week, meaning lots of consoling, waking up through the night and increased tantrums! now DH and myself have come down with it too, spent all day yesterday zombified and in bed 🤧

symptoms I’ve been feeling is emotional moods on two days, bloating, slight cramps and now the cold!
it does drive you crazy trying to symptom spot 😮‍💨

Hi ladies, I posted the other day but haven't seen because I had nothing interesting to say! I've been reading everyone's messages though, congrats on the BFPs! I'm now 4dpo and it's dragginggggg... last time I was pregnant had no idea/no symptoms at all until 5 weeks when nausea kicked it big time so I know not to symptom spot but I'm eager to get to 8/9dpo so I can start associating any little niggle or cramp or mood swing to pregnancy 😅. Anyone else in the early days of the TWW?

After posting about imagining lines, and then posting a potential faint line at approx 13dpo, I took a boots own brand this morning (approx 14dpo) which was stark white BFN. I’ve read lots about clear blue false positives, but thought it would be unusual to get 2 in a row. Waiting for period arrive today (getting all the pre-period signs) or tomorrow now :(

@justkeepswimming2701 Oh no :( I haven't ever had a false positive it must be so shitty.

10DPO here and stark white test this morning. I could be remembering wrong but I had a glimpse of a line at 10DPO with DS. I def had a digital and proper lines on a tesco test on 11DPO (I have the picture 😂)

I wanted to get peoples thoughts on cm… brown spotting / discharge specifically. Has anyone seen this themselves before BFP?

I’ve never had it before AF, but have today. Always after. I’m 12 DPO. Thanks all x

AF due Thursday for me but I've been getting strong cramps since Friday so I'm like 90% sure I'm out!
Also TMI but I'm getting really wattery discharge. Just want AF to arrive now so I can crack on with next month!

What are the best ovulation tests to do? I'm thinking best value for money as I see people doing them 2 times a day? I'm torn between doing them or the sex every other day once AF ends. Having said that my libido has been so low for the last week but it could be because I'm pre AF maybe?!

Think AF has arrived, 4 days early. There was some blood when I wiped! I guess that's me out. On to the next month!

@Sitchervice so sorry to hear about that. Not being able to experince your naturap cycles and make the choice yourself. I was on the pill from age 12 due to Dysmenorrhoea and Menorrhagia but did jack all other then force me onto a 28day cycle. I was gas lite and people said women only loose 3 teaspoons of blood during a period and I was being OTT. Fast-forward to Feb 2023 I fianlly used a Menstrual cup 40mls. I fill up the cup on my worst days within 2-3hours and this lasts for 36hours. So the end of my cycle I have lost so much and feel so awful about how is was treated my not only people but also Drs.
So glad things are getting better now and education and awarness.

As your situation is new and your finsing out about your cycles etc. I would tqke the pressure off and have lower expectations. Try not to put yourself under that pressure to have everything figured out now.
I started to track with an app 5 years ago and then 3 mo tha ago with OPKS and now just atarted charting as my cycles range from 29days - 43days.
The data and obtaining this is not stressful for me I geek out over the data. But if I was sttessed I would put a break on it. All that to say just take things slowly and monitor / document what you want you can add and change things as you go along.

@ceruleansky thank you. It was ok until my toddler mentioned it to me and i haven't heard anyone say it out loud to me. I haven't even spoken to my husband other then a text. My LO said No Baby in Mamas Belly. 😭 but the week before he was kissing my belly and saying baby 😢

I am really in a better headspace. And feeling content and accepting of things. We wanted to give it one last try before we go to the Drs and see what happens.
I had nausea and heartburn this morning but went after I had food. Just feeling normal. Some aches below but nothing major.

@Blackberry95 sorry to be annoying but it occurs in both situations. I had cramping and fullness at 12DPO when I had a BFP with LO. And I got cramps without fullness the day or 2 before AF. So I ignore that symptom now 😂

@monica3287 I had it lasted mo the first time ever. 7DPO cramps and spotting with EWCM got a VFL at 9-11DPO didn't get darker and then negatives. Never experinced it before. And thought it was a good sign. I had nothing with my LO no spotting. One back ache until 12DPO when I got my BFP.
