@Gem1066 Don't beat yourself up. If you are finding your journey hard, you are finding it hard. It doesn't matter what anyone else has or hasn't experienced. It's all relative. Every miscarriage, every chemical preganancy, hell every BFN is a loss in its own way. A loss of hope and future plans and past time and effort that we have to process. If telling yourself someone else has it more difficult helps keep you feeling positive then great but it shouldn't be used to make yourself feel guilty about what you are experiencing. That'll only make an already tough situation worse. Sending lots of love your way.

Gem1066 · 06/10/2023 14:58

@wanderlustre Thank you for your kind words, i needed that today x

Sending you best wishes and hugs x

emmatcc1 · 06/10/2023 15:07

14dpo and af was due today but didn’t show up and I’m never late but I did a test and it was bfn.

Mi3mi · 06/10/2023 15:13

@dg3131 hello! That looks light to me. I would say it’s building up but not quite there. The instructions say it should be as dark or darker than the control line. I got that this month for about 24 hours, so can confirm it does get darker.

Blackberry95 · 06/10/2023 17:50

@Gem1066 i empathise with so many things in this post, I have been feeling very similar. I don’t have any advice in particular but just wanted to say you aren’t alone x

MrsHousePlant · 06/10/2023 18:22

AF due tomorrow. Do I annoy myself by wasting a test in the morning or annoy myself by spending all day checking to see if it’s arrived? 😂

ReginaPhalange12 · 06/10/2023 18:46

@MrsHousePlant is this the first test you'll be taking this cycle? As a POAS addict I'd vote test 😄 good luck!

MrsHousePlant · 06/10/2023 20:17

@ReginaPhalange12 yes it would be the first test! Managed to hold off this month mainly as work has been manic so I’ve had less time to think and less time at home. 11DPO today and still not a single symptom.

ReginaPhalange12 · 06/10/2023 20:53

@MrsHousePlant that's amazing, well done! Someone on here said that it can be quite a good sign if you don't have symptoms because AF & early pregnancy symptoms are so similar however early pregnancy symptoms wouldn't usually show until a little late. Really hoping you get your BFP this month

WishingUponARainbow · 06/10/2023 21:00

Well I finally took the plunge and went to the doctors yesterday. GP said she's not overly concerned as we have conceived before (ended in early loss) but I'm booked in for a few blood tests and some vaginal swabs 🫠
My first blood test is booked in next Wednesday which will be 12DPO. Going to try and hold out testing in the hope that I'll have the blood test and the doctor will announce my pregnancy to me 🤣

Sleepysheepish · 06/10/2023 21:16

My temp dropped a bit overnight, I’ve just taken another FR and am waiting on the result but I kind of think I’m out 😞

MrsHousePlant · 06/10/2023 21:49

@ReginaPhalange12 thank you lovely, you too!

Sleepysheepish · 06/10/2023 22:09

Test is much the same as yesterdays, if I tilt it this way and that I think I can see something but I think it might be an indent. Sigh.

So I guess I just wait for af.

The biggest concern I have is trying to manage DH, it’s all well and good to try and not worry and to just DTD when the mood strikes but if I do do that we would DTD maybe once a month and certainly not when needed.

At 36 with low AMH it kind of feels like I do need to treat this seriously, I can’t imagine going in to the dr in 6 months and saying yeah I’m not pregnant, but we only have sex once a month……

beaniesunrise · 06/10/2023 22:13

What dpo is everyone testing on? I can see some people doing 11/12dpo don’t know if that’s the common time to
Also what’s happening with the FRER tests I thought they were great? I’m planning to get a FRER and CB for next week

OP posts:
MrsHousePlant · 06/10/2023 22:28

@beaniesunrise I use boots early detection, they’re pink dye and I think similar to a FRER but I’ve never used one. I think FRERs have been discontinued but you can get them on Amazon

Sleepysheepish · 06/10/2023 23:04

@beaniesunrise I usually test from 9dpo, but 10-11dpo is usually the first you’ll see much of anything and even then it’ll probably be a squinter!
Some of the FRER have been having serious issues with indents and false positives, they’re still the preferred test tho from
what I hear. Clear blue also make a pink dye test which is apparently good, the blue ones are less reliable. The cheapies in my experience aren’t very good at all.

ReginaPhalange12 · 07/10/2023 00:38

@beaniesunrise I usually test from around 10DPO but it'll be Friday 13th so I'm not sure I will 😂

bumptobean · 07/10/2023 02:04

@WishingUponARainbow funny you should say that as I have a blood test next week and was wondering if they’d be able to tell me before I test! I start the 2ww wait as of now so could come up by then 🤔

@Sleepysheepish I’m sure I’ve read levels increase every 48 hours so it’s worth trying again tomorrow. I know how you feel though, I’ve spent many a time positive I’ve seen a faint line, it’s really upsetting. Get what you mean about DH being DTD too. If I leave it we would go every few months!! DH really didn’t want to do it tonight but according to my app it’s ovulation day so I did say I’d be really gutted if we don’t try. Feel mean but also I’ll be upset and blame it on us not DTD today if I get another negative this month. At least if it’s negative and we did try then I know it’s just my body not getting pregnant and not for the lack of trying 😩

@beaniesunrise i test from 6dpo but I know normally you wouldn’t see anything until about 10dpo! I start the 2ww today and this is the first time I’ve not got any tests. DH says just wait this cycle for AF to tell us but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to stick that out.
plus it will be even more upsetting if AF surprises me and comes, I like to mentally prepare for it.

Sleepysheepish · 07/10/2023 03:07

@bumptobean yes it’s just so frustrating and makes you feel so shitty. I am probably in the very small camp who feels like it’s pretty justified to get upset about it, we spend all month monitoring, peeing on sticks, taking temperatures, trying to figure out the right days etc and then they’re like ‘oh sorry too tired, too sick, too whatever’ and it’s like seriously? I’m often those things too but I know we only have this tiny window.

And for them the repercussions each month aren’t particularly bad, their life continues on as usual, they don’t have to squint at tests, have PMS or bleed for a week.

I personally feel really depressed for a few days before my period and I always feel like compete rubbish during it, it’s heavy, it effects my mental health, so for me I want to have as few as possible. And honestly when DH isn’t on board to DTD when needed it makes me feel like he doesn’t care about the fact I will suffer for over a week because he didn’t want to. FYI I have 100% DTD (or other things) for him when I don’t feel like it because it was important to him, so I feel like it’s such a double standard.

Sleepysheepish · 07/10/2023 03:14

Oh and even more frustrating, I’ve explained the fertile window to DH multiple times. Heck we’ve even done this before.

Guess what he asks me yesterday? ‘You can still get pregnant anytime tho right?’ When I told him we need to time DTD……and I’m like ‘no. Not at all. I’ve already told you this. It’s like four or five days A MONTH’ him: 😳

beaniesunrise · 07/10/2023 07:27

@bumptobean @ReginaPhalange12 @Sleepysheepish @MrsHousePlant oh I see! So I’m planning to test around 12dpo, I don’t think I could wait until AF. 1st month trying so no expectations or trying to stress about it. Going with the flow of how I feel, although it was tiring dtd so much ahahaha

Did anyone experience symptoms of implantation such as spotting or cramping, between 6-11dpo?

beaniesunrise · 07/10/2023 07:29

Going groceries this morning, tempted to pick up tests even though I won’t be using them yet! But then thinking hmmmmm maybe I shouldn’t jinx yet by buying tests so early, and just buy them closer to the time via Amazon.. feel like there’s a different excitement buying tests in person than online 🤓

WishingUponARainbow · 07/10/2023 07:36

@bumptobean 🤞🏼 baby dust to you. Would save a hell of a lot on tests! 🤣

@Sleepysheepish I empathise with you completely, my OH doesn't have the highest libido, and there has been many a time when he has point blank refused to DTD when it was important to.
I'd try to have so many chats with him to 'educate' him on the timing and why it's so important and he'd tell me that he'd try better next month, all for me to remind him that it's time to DTD again and he'd be too tired or too stressed!
It's so fustrating, and I have spent so many nights crying myself to sleep because I'm absolutely gutted we've missed an opportunity. Last month I was convinced that he just didn't love me anymore and didn't find me attractive, and when I spoke to him about this he said that he feels an enormous amount of pressure to perform (which I understand, but I also said to him I spend the month bleeding, testing, reminding him to DTD, symptom spotting, testing again, agonising over said pregnancy test and then being depressed when AF shows again!)
Sorry for the rant, I suppose I'm trying to saying that you're not alone, I also feel your daily struggles and frustrations. But it will happen!
Something just seemed to click in OH this month and we had a week of DTD during my fertile window entirely unprompted by me, so feeling oddly optimistic this month.
Baby dust to you x
ps sorry for my hugely rambly message 😅

PurplePops · 07/10/2023 07:37

Morning Ladies! I'm currently 11dpo and itching to take a test, really feel like AF is on her way though! I'm planning on testing tomorrow, I only have normal tests and not the early response ones - should it be able to pick up at 12dpo? I might wait a bit longer if not, when I test I want to know a definite answer if that makes sense 😬 x

KM8 · 07/10/2023 07:47

I've been having a brown discharge for 2 days but still no period (due on Tuesday) but testing negative. I've read the brown discharge is old blood? Anyone else experienced this? Baby dust to you all 💫
