I’m on 6dpo. I’m feeling stressed it won’t work cause I want to switch jobs, but I’m waiting to get mat leave. It’s so unfair that for women who want children you either have to stay in the same firm for years, or lose out on substantial maternity benefits.

ceruleansky · 05/10/2023 19:08

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
1500mg is a very high dose!! No wonder you felt sick. Maybe you should get a second opinion on the dose? When I told my Dr it was making me sick she told me I can do 500mg instead of 750mg.

Yep that's what I thought, same here. They have to do a follicular study to make sure we ovulate properly and that the follicle doesn't turn into a cyst.
I'm only on cd8. I have a scan this weekend and then probably every other day until ovulation.
I despise the transvaginal ones. 😭 waiting to go from that scan to regular ultrasounds.

@justkeepswimming2701
The timelines probably change as we get older! I wish you the best of luck!
Well, I'll definitely give you company on the crazy part. 😄
I'm telling myself that unless it's a really dark pink line, it's just not positive.

Sleepysheepish · 05/10/2023 20:54

@Aaj04 I really like fertility friend for tracking

TTCnewbies · 05/10/2023 20:56

I'm finding it really interesting how different all of our journeys are. From medication to irregular cycles to short cycles and long! But we all want the same goal. Thank goodness we have each other and aren't alone!

I really feel like AF is coming any day. I'm not due for another 7 days give or take a day but I feel it! I'm at a wedding this weekend too so hopefully she stays away til after that. Think I'll just have a few drinks and try to forget about TTC for the weekend!

Currently TTC baby no2..... been trying for
3 months.
Have started with some light spotting and cramps last night but currently in the TWW!
The clearblue calculator says the earliest day to test is tomorrow......caved in and tested a few days ago (which I know was mega early) and got a BFN so not holding out much hope!
Good luck everyone ❤️

Sleepysheepish · 05/10/2023 21:35

Guys I think maaaayyybbbeee I have a squinter at 10dpo? Could be an indent……

bumptobean · 05/10/2023 22:01

Show us!!! It’s rude not to 😉

bumptobean · 05/10/2023 22:02

@Sleepysheepish show us!! It’s rude not to 😉

Sleepysheepish · 05/10/2023 22:40

@bumptobean ask and ye shall receive! Honestly it’s so hard to see, I was squinting and tilting in the sun and it’s definitely there….but is it actually a positive? 🫣

bumptobean · 05/10/2023 22:46

@Sleepysheepish I can 100% see it in the 2nd photo and it has some colour in it! Did you do it this evening? Defo redo tomorrow with first wee! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sleepysheepish · 05/10/2023 22:51

@bumptobean it’s more obvious in real life if that makes sense, I also see it strongest on one side….and it is pinkish!
I’m in Australia so it was first morning wee 10dpo! And I used a test from the same batch yesterday so I know they aren’t duds (I’ve heard some bad things about faulty FR!).

I think I’ll test tomorrow morning again…..if I can wait….otherwise I’ll just fret about it squinting all evening lol

With my first I had a squinter on a cheapie test at 11dpo, so hopefully this time it’ll be more obvious on the FR.

Sleepysheepish · 05/10/2023 23:47

I feel a bit disheartened now even tho I promised myself I *wouldn’t’ do it I tested again with one of the cheapies and can’t see anything. And I’ve got the other test out and squinted at it some more and I feel like it’s less obvious now……sigh

ReginaPhalange12 · 05/10/2023 23:53

@Sleepysheepish I can definitely see something in the photos. You're probably not getting a line on the other test because you need FMU. Test again tomorrow, good luck 😊

Sleepysheepish · 06/10/2023 00:44

@ReginaPhalange12 it’s silly you know, like I know it’ll either become an obvious line or it won’t and me agonising over it won’t help! But alas I can’t help myself 😅
I guess I can try blame it on hormones lol

ceruleansky · 06/10/2023 03:03

@TTCnewbies
I know, right? I never thought ttc would be this hard! Plus the medication gives me crazy hormones but I can't afford to show any emotion at my work place, I'm at the management level so I just can't be moody. 😅
When I'm home, I don't want to be moody towards DH because I don't want to put pressure on him or have this looming over our marriage.
So I'm happy I have this forum. It's really a huge support to read and share and not feel like you're going crazy. 💗

KM8 · 06/10/2023 07:29

I've taken a test this morning and got a BFN.....according to clearblue today is the first day they recommend to test, still having the light spotting and heartburn feeling, am I just out this month?

Or shall I test later?
Anyone else in the same boat?

Blackberry95 · 06/10/2023 07:32

12DPO and still BFN for me! My temp hasn’t dropped yet so I think AF is gonna leave me hanging for another day or two

TTCnewbies · 06/10/2023 07:59

I don't know how easy it is to see but can you imagine my disappointment when I glanced quickly and thought there was 2 lines. But the line is horizontal instead of vertical 😢 so another BFN for me.

@TTCnewbies That is weird. You should do another different brand test.

dg3131 · 06/10/2023 08:04

Second month TTC and First month using ovulation sticks. My cycle is normally quite short hence why I started testing quite early. I think todays line may be stronger or are my eyes playing tricks? How strong do they get? How do I know when it's reached it peak? TIA

emmatcc1 · 06/10/2023 08:09

@dg3131 I recommend using the premom app it was a big help when I did opks. If you know you ovulated early start testing twice a day. I found that I got a bit darker test in am and in the evening it was peak. The test is positive when both lines are equally dark or the left line is darker. When you get your first peak you will see that it’s not hard to miss.

TTCnewbies · 06/10/2023 08:10

emmatcc1 · 06/10/2023 08:02

@TTCnewbies That is weird. You should do another different brand test.

Tbh it was either tesco or asda cheapie (tesco I believe) and the line has completely gone now. It also says to be used on day of missed period but that's not til next week. I couldn't find any FRER tests and I tried a few places. I think I need to stop testing now. It's just so hard not to isn't it!

dg3131 · 06/10/2023 08:10

@emmatcc1 ah thanks for that. That a big help. Will test again this afternoon then.

Gem1066 · 06/10/2023 12:23

Hi all, TTC #1 and its my third cycle. First cycle I had a chemical pregnancy, second cycle I only DTD once around ovulation and didn’t properly track as I was struggling mentally after the chemical from the month before and me and my other half decided to put off properly trying.. So now its cycle no. 3 and i had my two peak LH days 2 days ago and yesterday. We DTD on the first peak day but not yesterday as my other half wasn’t up for it. I was so upset missing that critical chance of conceiving. I’m still getting over that anger this morning. It’s still so early in our TTC journey but the pressure is already so high. I’m already dreading this TWW knowing that we really only had 1 BD where I might have conceived.

I’ve always worried about my fertility, without reason too really but it just feels so hard emotionally. I think the chemical affected me a lot.. even though so many women have it so much harder with real miscarriages.

I’m rambling now.. we’ll see what happens x
