Hi @hotmalibu94.

I’m good thanks, still bfn today at 11dpo but temps still high so we’ll see what happens.

@Ncl31 how are you today ?

the other thread got full so I started a new one 😊

I’ll add now all I can remember but keep adding who else I missed!
@pinkmarshmalloww@Huriya @thejollytrolleydolly @ginny93@MorningsideMaisie@Myna13

@hotmalibu94 sounds like you’re getting into your fertile week soon so that’s exciting! Fingers crossed for you this cycle.

@Ncl31 we will get there soon, hopefully this time next year we will be enjoying our maternity leave! I was so negative the last few days when my period arrived I felt like I was on the verge of tears all the time, my boyfriend had to give me a real talking to and tell me to calm down and all these tears will be worth it when we do fall. I wish I was more positive like him 😂 Feeling more positive now it’s over and now just patiently waiting for ovulation day! It’s nice to have people on here that are in the same position, it helps me think more logically

Ncl31 · 12/12/2023 20:29

@EK37 i totally agree with that.
If my prediction of when I ovulated is correct then I should be due AF this weekend which could explain the emotional outbursts and tears. But with my PCOS I just simply can’t 100% tell when I ovulate. This month I’ve had no significant bbt rise which I did last month, so I wonder if the app has lost the algorithm or I just haven’t.
ive attached my chart. I think I ovulated around day 28/29 that’s when I had lots of EWCM and horrendous backache for around 8 hours.

EK37 · 12/12/2023 20:44

@Ncl31 yes I was going to say judging by the chart I would agree with your dates. Are you also using OPK’s? I know I said it last month but I am only temping this month up until it’s confirmed my ovulation as it can send me a bit crazy over analysing my charts all the time. I might carry on doing the cheap opk’s through out the cycle though just incase I get a second surge which maybe I am not picking up on. In my mind I am thinking hormones can’t lie but by BBT tracking can. For instance today my BBT shot up to 36.46 when the day before it was 36.26 and I only finished my period yesterday so deffo not ovulating just yet but that’s the kind of rise I get straight after ovulation. So many factors can change BBT!

EK37 · 12/12/2023 20:48

Also another thing I have come across although I haven’t actually done it! Is something called a PDG test. I think the idea is that it’s like multiple tests I think around 5ish that you take a week or so after your predicted ovulation date which can confirm if you did ovulate. I think it tests for the progesterone hormone. That might be something worth looking into if you are not 100% sure? I might give it a go if I am not successful this month

Ncl31 · 12/12/2023 20:58

@EK37 i don’t generally use OPKs because of PCOS as it can cause multiple LH peaks so can be misleading.
I guess I’ll wait and see if AF arrives this weekend, if not I’ll probably do a cheapie and see what it says. If it’s negative then I just have to sit and wait out for AF to arrive.

its a minefield isn’t it - I’m trying not to stress myself out too much about it with it being Christmas.

EK37 · 12/12/2023 21:01

@Ncl31 ahh okay that makes sense! Yes exactly. I said to myself this is the best month it could of happened out of all the months to get my period as we are so busy over Christmas time we won’t have time to think about it (although I deffo will 😂) we will get our BFP’s soon and all our tears and stress will be worth it 😊

Ncl31 · 12/12/2023 21:23

@EK37 fingers crossed for us both.

Roseberry22 · 13/12/2023 08:12

@Hollie1802 @Hotmalibu94 sp happy to hear your 12 week scans went well! Keep us updated as you progress, I’d love to know how you’re getting on!

For the first time I decided to do an OPK in an evening last night which gave me my static smiley. I wonder now if I’ve completely missed some months by not double testing. Usually I wouldn’t have until this morning which is over 12 hours since my positive OPK, we then normally aren’t able to DTD until at least the night so this month that would’ve been over 24 hours from my positive OPK!

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 08:38

@Roseberry22 I think it's always a good idea to do more than one in a day around the time you're due to ovulate as the surge can so easily be missed! I peak really quickly so I sometimes do 3 in a day to make sure I catch it 😂 I can't say it's worked for me so far but it's nice to pinpoint when it's happened xx

Roseberry22 · 13/12/2023 09:37

Thanks @thejollytrolleydolly I will do going forward, I always thought because I get a static smile I’ll be catching it but given I could be 12-24 hours out each month I could be completely missing it depending on quick I ovulate! It’s a minefield TTC isn’t it, 6 months in and only just realising I should have probably done a few more OPKs!! Xx

EK37 · 13/12/2023 11:17

@Roseberry22 when I know I am about to ovulate I try to do it in the morning and then in the afternoon which tends to catch my static smiley 😊

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 13:02

@Roseberry22 oh well at least you know what to do going forward! I tend to get the Amazon ov strips as they are so cheap, you don't mind using 3 in one day 😂

So my test results just came back and although I am ovulating my FSH levels are high which suggests my eggs are low quality which would absolutely explain why I'm struggling to fall pregnant. Who knows, they could have been this way for years!! I so wish I had fertility testing years ago as I might have been able to do something about it 🙈 now me and dp have got to have a full blood screening and he needs a semen analysis to check his fellas aren't also sub par. We won't be able to get this for about 8 weeks though... queue me deep diving into google to find help for low quality eggs!! 😩😩 xx

etaketak1991 · 13/12/2023 14:05

@thejollytrolleydolly CoQ10 is meant to help egg quality! I'd been taking it for 2 months before I fell pregnant ☺️

Good luck to everyone for this cycle 🤞🤞 Im thinking of all of you.

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 14:12

@etaketak1991 thank you! That's really good to hear! I've just ordered myself a 3 month supply of strong ones 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 hope it helps!! X

NLmum4 · 13/12/2023 15:27

@Roseberry22 I conceived my two by dtd on the day of the static smiley.

NLmum4 · 13/12/2023 15:30

@thejollytrolleydolly there is a really good book called "it starts with the egg" . Very useful insight. It talks about things which can be done to improve the chances of the eggs - nothing too complicated supplements , environment etc

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 15:39

@NLmum4 yes! My friend is bringing me a copy round on Monday. I'll have a good read of it! I'm going to get Christmas out of the way then I think I'm going to cut out alcohol for a bit and maybe cut down to one coffee a day from the start of Jan xx

Roseberry22 · 13/12/2023 15:51

@thejollytrolleydolly my vitamins have coq10 in but only a small dose. I’ve heard it’s really good for egg quality so will start next cycle if we’re not lucky this cycle! I’ve also decided to try and limit alcohol going forward (minus Christmas if we’re not lucky this month) and I’ve gone down to one cup of tea a day and the rest decaf. If you find out anything interesting when you get round to reading it then please share!

@NLmum4 did you test more than once a day closer to ovulation?

Hollie1802 · 13/12/2023 16:57

@thejollytrolleydolly I second (or maybe third!) the COQ10! I was also taking this when I fell pregnant! I actually watched a really handy video on YouTube by 'FabandEll' they suffered with infertility for 2 years and it turned out to be an issue with his sperm so a little different but they did a ton of research and highlighted a few of the best supplements (they were due to start IVF the month they fell naturally taking the supplements) - all of which I had been taking the month I fell pregnant, and they were the only change I had made so who knows whether they worked but I got the result I wanted and so did Ell. It may be worth a watch?

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 17:01

@Hollie1802 I've seen this video on my feed so many times and never actually watched it! Maybe it was the universe trying to tell me something 😂 I'll give it a watch and see if there's anything I'm missing. I've just ordered 3 months of 300mg liquitabs so I'm really hoping they make a difference! I meant to ask the nurse on the phone call but I was a bit taken back by the information I got that I forgot to ask about how to combat the issue 🙈 thank you!! X

Hollie1802 · 13/12/2023 18:23

@thejollytrolleydolly Oh really! How spooky when things like that happen!! I actually just follow them so saw it when they posted it but I do think it's a pretty comprehensive video and rewatched it when we weren't successful for a few months and thought it couldn't hurt to take them!

Oh I bet, it's the type of thing that takes you back isn't it, and then after you think damn! I should have asked X or Y!

thejollytrolleydolly · 13/12/2023 18:42

@Hollie1802 100% I feel like I have so many questions now and I will probably have forgotten them all by the time I speak to her next 😂😂 xx

Ncl31 · 13/12/2023 22:02

Thanks ladies for the info on supplements.
I’ve just ordered myself both that are suggested in the YouTube video.
im honestly willing to try anything. Fingers crossed for us all.
my apple health has just notified me that I’m due my period anytime in the next 10 days. I predicted at some point this weekend so let’s see.

how is everyone else? Anyone approaching TWE or testing?

NLmum4 · 13/12/2023 22:11

@Roseberry22 yes I test three times a day around ovulation time - starting from about 8 days from beginning of cycle

Roseberry22 · 14/12/2023 08:16

@Ncl31 I think I’m just starting the TWW just waiting for bbt to confirm but I’ve gone above the cover line this morning so think today is 1dpo!

@NLmum4 will definitely start testing a couple of times a day closer to ovulation
