I feel as though I’m doing the bloody hokey jokey the amount I’ve been in and out of this forum over the years 😅😂

Hello!
Ive a long old story but I won’t bore you with it unless you’re interested… I’m 31 TTC our first, and currently 9dpo with a chemical way back in November. I’m just looking for some company and hopefully some positive vibes between the group so someone… anyone gets their BFP! Hopefully me too of course 🤞
We all need a little bit of positivity so let’s do this together ✨

@moosey89 hello and welcome 🥰 it’s lovely you decided to comment after being a lurker 😉🤣😂

Great to hear about the GP appt tomorrow. Try not to worry about how you look - it’s more important that you get seen, and push yourself as a priority. From my experience, I feel better equipped to handle any heartbreak or disappointment when I know I have a plan in motion. Well done you 🙏 x

Thank you @Yolo23 - I've always been so worried that my problems aren't big enough to be worried about. Hopefully I'll get some sort of action plan x

Mango30 · 12/09/2023 09:55

How's everyone doing? hope you all had nice weekends.

Af arrived for me on Sunday so I'm back on the start of the cycle bus!

Yolo23 · 12/09/2023 23:36

Hi @Mango30 sorry to hear AF arrived 🥊 🤦‍♀️ here we go again eh… back on the Okie Kokey 🤣

I’m having a chilled month as things are sooo busy and stressful at the moment. Fertile week for me is like now but it’s not made a difference every other month so I’m not pressuring myself 😂 probably helps that we have our first fertility appt next week… so I’m just going with the flow and hoping we get somewhere with that.

How is everyone else doing!? X

Hey! Iv an app tomorrow with a specialist so that's a positive! On CD7 here so fertile week starts in a couple days. Not sure what way to approach it as nothing being working 😂

Yolo23 · 13/09/2023 22:58

@Daniki best of luck for your appt tomorrow! Is this NHS and your first one? Keep us updated 🥰🙏 x

Mango30 · 14/09/2023 07:30

Good luck @Daniki i hope it goes well!

@Yolo23 im going to do the same this month, have a chilled one. I think we're going to try going back to just regular sex throughout the month and give up on the tests and stuff. I have got some new vitamins for me and my husband though!

Daniki · 14/09/2023 08:08

@Yolo23 @Mango30 thanks ladies!
Not NHS, I'm in Ireland. It's actually tk second app, I had one in feb so I could get a prescription for progesterone etc after having the two losses, this doctor specialises in recurrent miscarriages, she gave me a prescription for progesterone, steroids and low dose dose aspirin to start as soon as I get pregnant again! Booked a follow up as I haven't been able to get pregnant since 🙈 xx

Mango30 · 14/09/2023 09:46

@Daniki thats great that you've got the progesterone prescription already, I've heard it's meant to be great after losses. I'm hoping to get that too if possible, but same situation as you - need to get pregnant again first.
good luck with the appointment, hopefully they can help. Have you had any tests for anything so far?

Daniki · 14/09/2023 12:32

@Mango30 no tests so far, just bloods done back in feb at initial app. Had bloods done again today she will check my AMH levels aswell, she's booked me for a hsg test to check my tubes aren't blocked and to flush them out and she has given me a script of letrozole but I won't know whether I need to take it or not until after the 21 day progesterone test so will get that done on the 27th! Feel positive and hopefully it will make me relax a bit and fall pregnant 😂

Yolo23 · 19/09/2023 00:18

Hello everyone! Sorry life is really busy at the moment which is great as it’s a distraction but I’m mindful of everyone on here - how are you all doing? 🥰 any updates anywhere!?

OP posts:
moosey89 · 19/09/2023 10:19

Zero updates, as per usual 🤣 cd10 so headed into fertile window again shortly. Not got high hopes for this month, or at all anymore really. Having a very fed up feeling, and everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant/staying pregnant with no issues. Just one of those months!

Daniki · 19/09/2023 14:46

CD 13 today and I got positive OPK and usually I don't ovulate to day 16 so will cover all bases now for the next few nights 🫨🤪 exciting stuff! So fed up of it all tho 😂

Crazydogladie · 19/09/2023 14:47

CD11 here, usually ovulate CD12 but no sign yet. I think my cycle is out of whack because I had a chemical pregnancy last month. Dreading the TWW this time because I found the chemical emotionally difficult and I just have such a strong feeling that it will be negative or chemical again this month. Getting some scans this week so trying to focus on that maybe giving some answers!

Yolo23 · 19/09/2023 23:09

@moosey89 sorry to hear that! It’s even more horrible when the announcements come thick and fast. Me and the ‘unfollow’ button on social media have become besties over the past few years 🤣

we completely missed fertile window this month but atleast that means I won’t be going through the whole… am I, aren’t I, rollercoaster ride. Good luck for fertile window! X

@Daniki wooooo! Time to get busy 😈 😂 fingers crossed my lovely xx

OP posts:
Yolo23 · 19/09/2023 23:13

@Crazydogladie I experienced a chemical back in November. Sorry to hear you’ve been going through it too - hopefully the scans will help to reassure or get some answers. What scans are they? X

Hello everyone, I hope you’re keeping well. Just an update my end…

I had my first appointment today and the specialist has referred us onto fertility. She said it would take up to 26 weeks at the moment (so 6 months) but it could be sooner. The timeframe works quite well with everything we have going on - including a holiday, wedding plans (hen dos etc) so I’m quite happy. We get 2 full rounds where I live on the NHS so keeping fingers and toes crossed. It feels nice to be on a treatment path - although we won’t be sharing this with family which feels a bit crazy.

We will continue trying between now and then of course 😅 hope everyone else is doing ok xx

OP posts:
moosey89 · 21/09/2023 22:52

@Yolo23 that sounds like things moving in the right direction! So have you had tests etc done already and now this is your referral for IVF and it's just waiting for your time on the list to come round?

Yolo23 · 22/09/2023 20:54

@moosey89 ive had tests etc done ageeees ago so just some general bloods. Hopefully be seen by IVF in the next 26 weeks! Xx

OP posts:
moosey89 · 23/09/2023 08:09

@Yolo23 good luck! We're part way through having tests. Big lot of bloods done, scan in 3 weeks, and other half has to do his semen analysis in the next couple of weeks too. Heard it's a long wait list for both the fertility appointment and IVF here so my GP got everything in motion asap which I really appreciate!

Yolo23 · 23/09/2023 15:50

@moosey89 ah thats great news! If you’re anything like me.. it feels more manageable when you have a plan - or some sort of investigations in motion! It feels like progress.

How does your partner feel about a SA? Mine handled like a boss - with a bit of dark humour in the lead up that he is betting that he completely infertile 🤣

What scan are you having? An internal is it?

Yes it took me almost a year to be seen by the specialist which was sped up, and then it’ll take up to 6 months where I live to be seen by IVF. It is such a long slog! 😅 x

OP posts:
moosey89 · 23/09/2023 18:19

@Yolo23 he was surprisingly good about it! He knows how much all the getting checked out means to me and sow as happy to do it 😁

It definitely feels more manageable now there's a plan! Yep, it's an internal ultrasound. Had a fair few of those before so expect it to be normal and am not worried about it.

Sounds like the wait times are awful everywhere! Glad your initial appointment was sped up, and hope you get lucky with how long it takes to actually get to IVF! Hopefully it'll all be worth it xx

Yolo23 · 24/09/2023 21:18

@moosey89 thank you! I’m really pleased he’s taking it all on the chin - that’s a huge support 🥰

Its probably weird that I’m looking forward to it - but hopeful that it’ll happen naturally still in the next few months.

great news about the scans and tests. Wishing you the best of luck xx
