Hi guys, I've updated about my appointment in Emmsy's waiting room. It's just so shte really. such a long, drawn out and complicated process. It's no wonder people just give up . Why can't I just have a shg like everyone else!!! It seems so easy for my friends and people on MN who've fallen pg 'by accident' If only! . Sorry I'm a bit self absorbed today so I'm not fun . I hope everyone else is ok

Fruitloop just read your post in the waiting room, so sorry it wasn't the good news you wanted, but like you say at least you are getting somewhere it's just that good old waiting game again Sending you a huge hug, try and relax tonight open some wine, have some chocolate and some nookie while you can x x

JollyBear · 05/03/2008 16:14

fruitloop It must be sooo frustrating for you having to wait. At least they are taking some action to get you sorted, that is a really positive step forward. Can you get on a list for a cancellation? Hope your DH is going to take care of you tonight so you can try to relax as mollie suggests.

Come and moan anytime though and vent your frustrations at the crap "I'm on the pill, we used a condom, he withdrew, and am now pregnant with twins"- type thread!

cricri · 05/03/2008 16:14

Oh Fruitloop, sorry you didn't get the news you wanted today. (((hugs))) to you.

Hi all.
Welcome newbies!! Hope your enjoy your stay. Here is some baby dust.
Another BFN for me today. Tested 11dpo with 5pm urine...ah well!

pinkgirl30 · 05/03/2008 17:27

sorry about your bfn it is frustrating

xxhunnyxx · 05/03/2008 18:35

Hi everyone,

Just wondering what pg tests people recommend? I'm using these 'Advanced Ultra HCG' ones which I bought off a website. They're the strips which you dip. I did a google search on them and found a thread with ppl saying that they give a late BFP altho they claim to be 10 mIU. Just wondering if anybody else has used these and how accurate they are as I'm on CD26 and had my 2nd BFN this morning so don't know whether it's best to just fork out on some Clear Blues/First Response. Any suggestions?

hi guys well ive been back at work for 2 days now, its not as bad as i expected. I feel like ive never been away work wise so thats made me feel more confident, it would have been terrible if i had forgoten everything, but i did miss her like crazy. The hard thing is that DH got up the first night but not the second! wonder if thats going to be a regular thing but to give him his due he has made dinner and kept the house in order, so it does make things a little easier.(I do 4 10hr days and LO is 4 months )LO still having problems with teeth i refuse to let her cry for more than 10mins without a cuddle. I work in the dental proffession so ive got her some teething gel but ot doesnt seem to be doing much! so anyother tips would be most appreciated. Dh seems to be geting so anoyed shes stopped sleeping through but poor little thing shes in pain! ahhh men!! anyway enough of my ranting.
hi to all the newbies welcome hope yr not here long. FL im sorry your appontment wasnt what you expected. SM im so so very sorry for yr BFN, pipper how r u doing. well im going to try and corner DH for some BD as CD 14 so i hope im ov. good luck girls i hope to see some BFP with all the tests going on!!! thanks guys for all your support i really dont think i could manage with out you all big big HUGS JJB

twinklingfairy · 05/03/2008 20:55

JJB Ashton & Parsons powder has been recommended to me many many times. You pour it into their mouths and apparently it helps.
It took a couple of attempts to get it in DD's mouth at that age, but she did quieten down for a bit.
I wouldn't worry too much about taking her into bed with you until she feels better. It won't go on for very long and won't spoil her. She will get back into her routine soon.
4 months is prob a growing phase too.
My DD had a few weeks here and there when I thought she was a devil, but all of a sudden she woudl settle back down again and I would wonder why I had worried so.
Also I was told, by a dentist, that it is more about cooling the gums to lessen the swelling. Though that is pretty hard with one so young. My DD never really took to teething rings but, worth a try.

Glad work went ok for you and that DH is looking after the house so well. I was a crap housewife to begin with. Not really a great one now TBH

SparklyMummy · 05/03/2008 21:01

Hi JJB
Was thinking of u yday. Glad it didn't go too bad and also pleased to hear that DH had sorted dinner for u. I second TF re: ashton and parsons. It's homopathic so you should pour it in and not touch it. I used to lie DD down.
Happy BD. Hope you catch the egg. xxx

blondieminx · 05/03/2008 23:14

Hi all,

Please can I join you lovely ladies on the sofas?

I'm on CD62 Cycle 1 TTC#1

I'm 28 and came off the pill at new year - and now no periods...Have been to the docs today after several BFN's and still no AF (got told to go back in June for testing).

Was releived come on MN and to see I'm not the only one with a long cycle so I guess I'll just have to settle in and be patient!

caspercat · 05/03/2008 23:25

Hi all, think we need a HUUUUGE sofa!

TF et al, thankyou for your lovely welcome, sorry taken me so long to reply, v difficult to get any computer time at the mo, but will perservere. Not sure what details you need, but today is cd1, trying for DC no 2 since Oct 07.
Been reading all your tips, can i just ask, do you check your temp under the tongue or in the armpit? Sorry to be a doofus, but what kind of readings are we looking for? And also, could someone please tell me how to check my cervix, and what i'm looking for ?
At the mo, all of this seems fairly futile as DH & i just had blazing row, as he refuses to believe that alcohol consumption has any effect on male fertility (after downing 3 large glasses of wine this evening), and says we managed to conceive once, doesn't see why we can't again. Am .
Just wanted to say thanks again for having me, big hugs to all xxxxx
