Josie, had to smile at your dh getting annoyed that your dd isn't sleeping through anymore, at 4mths! Both my dd's didn't sleep through until they were around 2, they both liked to wake up once a night, from around 8mths to 2yrs
Hope her teeting settles down soon.
Shame about the house you wanted to buy EI, that's one of the many shite things about the English property system. When we were selling our house to move here, our buyers missed 3 appts to sign everything so we could complete. We eventually dropped the price by £1000 so they ar**s would go and sign what they needed to . I still get annoyed thinking about it, 2yrs later.
Blondie, a 62 day cycle, wow, that would require a lot of patience.
I'm 5+3 today, and have made a dr's appt for next week, still quite apprehensive that something will go wrong again, but so far so good.

Morning.

CD11. Have brought OV sticks to work .
Boyfriend is on high alert. Am hoping that we get it right this month. Found out recently that sister in law is pregnant. Didn't know it at the time but she started trying same time as me and is now around 12 weeks PG. Weird feelings about it all. Rational brain knows other people can't put their life on hold for my sake, emotional brain is annoyed that my brother got there first (Again)! Should be more excited that I am going to be an Aunt but you know how it is, so easy to geet obsessed with your own worries!

Anyway - she's been lovely to me and is sending me spare OV sticks and (unopened) preseed and I now know much more than I really need to about their sex life .

Fingers crossed it'll be my turn next and then our kids will be close in age.

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 12:09

good luck bs crossing fingers for u

caspercat · 06/03/2008 13:31

Picknmix, thankyou for adding me to your list.
Off to Boots this afternoon to buy vitamins for DH & me, Ov tests & a thermometer! Can anyone tell me how the temperature thing works? Is it just oral temperature every morning, then when it increases means you are ov?? Sorry so many questions, feel a bit in the dark at the mo, seem to be a bit clueless .
Been reading through thread, especially the lists - really feel for those of you with long cycles, there was me feeling sorry for myself as cycle can last as long as 40 days, when some of you seem to around 60! Good luck to you all xx

fruitloop79 · 06/03/2008 13:44

Sorry guys I really must catch up in here but I'm sooooooo excited have a read of of mew thread

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 13:44

caspercat You need a digital thermometer that gives a reading to two decimal places... so 36.32 rather than 36.3. Temping can be quite confusing at first but I really like it . If you google fertility friend they have an on-line book that you can read all about how to take your temp and you can record your charts on there too. It is really helpful. The main thing is to try and take your temp at the same time everyday without getting out of bed!

beanie It is hard not to feel a bit even though you are pleased. Fingers crossed this is your month.

Hello to everyone else.

fruitloop79 · 06/03/2008 13:45

"new" not "mew" I havent changed into cat

beaniesteve · 06/03/2008 13:45

Hiya Picknmix. Am trying to do the temp thing too but I keep forgetting to take my temperature before I get out of bed.

Internet tells me this

"When charting your bbt (basal body temperature) you will want to purchase a special thermometer called a basal body temperature thermometer. It records temperatures to the tenth degree and is the most precise thermometer. By charting your temperatures you can see patterns in your menstrual cycle and hopefully determine when you ovulate.

During the first part of a woman's menstrual cycle basal body temperatures will be lower. The first half of your menstrual cycle is called the follicular phase. Right before ovulation you will have a slight drop in temperature followed by a sharp rise in temperature. Not all women will have a drop in temperature before ovulation but if you notice your temperature drop, you should start having intercourse then.

Around the time of ovulation, you will see a rise in temperature. By the time you notice this rise in temperature, you have already ovulated. That is why charting works best when done for a few months. What you are looking for is a rise in temperature of about .4 degrees or more. If you have ovulated your temperature will remain higher. If your temperature remains higher for three days or more, then you can assume you have ovulated

caspercat · 06/03/2008 14:19

JollyBear & beaniesteve thanks for all that info. Will add Basal body temperature thermometer to my shopping list!!

MollieMooma · 06/03/2008 14:23

Hi guys, well I started temping for the first time this month, I had a few false starts when I kept forgetting to do it, but I've put the thermometer next to my phone (which I use as an alarm) and then set a reminder on my phone for a few mins after alarm has gone off that tells me to temp, so far so good!

Treats · 06/03/2008 16:58

Afternoon everyone

Not a great last couple of weeks for me - really having a horrid time at work just at the mo. It's very frustrating as I feel I can't leave if I'm trying to get pregnant. Just found out today that I've been offered an interview somewhere else, which would be a bit of a dilemma if they offered it to me.

Or maybe that's what I need. Sod's law says I find out I get pregnant just as I get offered the shiny (and much better paid!) new job.........

Anyway - took a sickie today. I called work and said I had a headache. Serves me right that I have now developed an actual headache this afternoon. Still, DH was working from home today, so we took the opportunity for a sneaky BD this afternoon. I know it sounds naughty, but I was too weepy from work horrors to BD last night, so it seems fair....

Bit concerned that I don't seem to be ov'ing at the moment. No EWCM to speak of, apart from a tiny amount on Tuesday.

Sorry for long post - hope everyone else is OK.

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 17:18

hi treats sorry that you are having a rough time @ the mo
here are some smiles to cheer you up

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 06/03/2008 17:55

hi ladies
hope everyone is ok today
treats i just thought i would say that you are more likely not to fall preg working in a stressful job so i would go to the interview and cross my fingers i got the job also you qualify for mat leave when you have worked in a job for 26weeks so if you moved jobs now you will qualify for mat leave as you are not preg yet so it would all work out fine too i hope you feel a bit happier and your headache has gone away (best remedy is an orgasm BTW)
hi to everyone else >

treats Good on you for taking a day off. DP always says that u get no thanks for slogging your guts out. You should have tomorrow off and make the most of a long weekend

Need some advice...cd31 for me. No AF but a tiny amount of brown spotting at lunch time. Did a cheap ebay test again today 12DPO and got a BFN. I had a lot of brown blood before AF last month. Do you think AF is on the way?

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 20:34

hi sm brown could be implantation not too sure

SparklyMummy · 06/03/2008 20:38

I think it's prob a bit late for implantation.

What is a HCB? I'm sure when somebody says it will be obvious but I can't work it out.
