No worries Bucky.
I just don't want to get my hopes up just yet. (Hopefully there'll be lots of time for that later ).

JaamyBunny · 29/03/2008 17:09

Scary - have you got an appt or are you going to wait a bit and test again? Sorry, may have missed what you are planning to do? I really hope your bean is ok and sticks fast.

Ei - sounds promising. Lots of babydust your way ** Hope the waiting isn't driving you too mad. Get stuck into that decorating, then you can come and do mine! Yes, I did say I was going to give TTC a break until after hol in June, but then I'm sure I will find another reason to delay so am just "trying but not trying" if you see what I mean. That way my body won't really know what I'm up to and the pg might creep up and surprise it before the EW gets chance to take hold again

Am still going to hang around on here - want to find out how everyone is doing!

beanie - if this is normal AF for you then I'm not surprised that gp fobbed you off. I get quite heavy for 2 or 3 days and worry when I don't! I saw that you use a tampon at night. Is this because your periods are too heavy for a pad by itself? Just concered for you and toxic shock syndrome.

MM - all may not be lost. Didn't you say you were BDing last night?

Tink - surprised you have time to post with BD marathon! Sorry, have no advice about thermometer and sterilising with alcohol, though I wouldn't be too bothered if you are using it exclusively. Unless you have tried to take temp anally ? Not advisable as foreplay I would think! Not very attractive, but whatever floats your boat

CC - hope the sickness is the start of a really sticky bean. Keeping fingers crossed for you, buddy!

And Mibbes - sorry to hear you've been a bit sicky too but they always say MS is a good sign. Try to rest as much as you can, it really does make a difference

piper1984 · 29/03/2008 19:00

hi Scary

just reading your post, i got a faint BFP on 18th, but on the 20th i had very heavy bleeding which i thought was AF, early scan has shown everything is grand tho. hope this helps stickybeandust**

Piper...Cycle 36? Wow, congratulations that's fantastic and gives me hope here on Cycle 12!

piper1984 · 29/03/2008 19:40

hi Bucky thanks, it was the clomid that did it for me, its great stuff

Bucky2008 · 29/03/2008 19:49

How many cycles of clomid did you take?

Bucky2008 · 29/03/2008 19:49

How many cycles of clomid did you take?

piper1984 · 29/03/2008 20:04

this was my second round of it, i had a CP last month with it tho. your on cycle 12? it can be really frustrating sometimes

piper1984 · 29/03/2008 20:05

have you gone to the doc yourself yet?

Bucky2008 · 29/03/2008 20:22

Yup, my CD21 bloods came back fine (so the receptionist said anyway). I will make an appointment with the doc once DP has taken his sample in for testing. He has been rubbish making his appointment. Its on the 8th. So, it may not be me? I did get pg once, but had a miscarriage. That was 18 months ago or so and I have not used contraception since then. I just count the months that I was actively ttc i.e. using OPKs etc.

piper1984 · 29/03/2008 20:40

you should defo try and talk to the doc about your blood results, i was going in day 21 while on the clomid, and last month i rang and the receptionist said they were normal, but the doc rang a few days later and said they were off the charts! very high hormones! my DH was the same bringing in his sample [sillyDHemoticon]

xxhunnyxx · 29/03/2008 21:22

beanie have you tried Mefenamic acid? I suffer with heavy periods too and it's a total life saver for me! It's a painkiller but it also reduces the amount of bleeding. You have to get it on prescription and it's best to start taking it a few days before your period is due but it is fantastic.
From what I can find on the web it's fine to use whilst TTC too x

Congrats, fruitloop - must be weird to be happy at AF's arrival when a lot of us wish she's just sod off! But i understand how frustrating it must be for you, and at least you know where you are now, so can start limbering up for all the BDing.
For anyone following my cause, i've had another day of dry heaves this morning, and am thirsty as hell. AF not due till Tues (although could be anything up to 10 days later if is on her way). According to FF we BD'd on correct days. I would be hugely shocked if we'd been lucky, and so scared of getting our hopes up, but was wondering if anyone thinks those 1st response PG tests are worth getting, or do i just torture myself and wait to a regular PG test if AF is no show early in the week? Wouldn't normally be in such a rush, but have huge night on the booze planned for this Fri (very very rare nowadays) with old buddies, and obviously will not go if any chance i could be PG! Any ideas?
Sorry for long post, and a big hello to

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 30/03/2008 13:59

afternoon ladies
hi CC you sound like me i am dying to test and i should really wait til wed/thursday if i were you i would hang on til at least tomorrow morning to test just to use FMU for a better esult i have got a wedding on saturday which is bound to be a very boozy affair and i am itching to know whether i am preggers or not have you got any other symptoms?? other than the retching obv. how have you been monitoring your cycle? i have been temping and am confused by my temp over the past few daysei's chart could you post a link for your FF chart so i can be nosey and see yours?? sorry about all the questions i am rather inquisitive today
a big hello to everyone else

Hi ei - it's really tense isn't it, it's doing my head in!! I'd happily post a link to my chart, but am a computer numpty & have no bloomin' idea how to! Any tips?? Not sure if i trust my temping chart, cos it says to take temp after at least 3 hrs successive, restful sleep. Can't remember the last time i had that - i either need a wee, the cats or dd wake me up, or wake up for any stupid reason, and takes me yonks to drift back off! But i guess FF made some kind of sense out of it. Other than that, checked for EWCM (only had it for 1 day, but was lots of it - yuck!), and cervix position, but new to that, so really just getting used to where it is! God, you really have not care about everyone knowing what you get up to in your daily life to get that precious BFP, don't you .
Anyway, nose away (i'm just as bad), and will try to post a link if you show me how!!!

xxhunnyxx · 30/03/2008 14:23

Hi CC last time I was PG the only symptom I got before AF was due was being very very thirsty, I'd drink a pint of water and it wouldn't quench the thirst at all, I don't mean to get your hopes up but that is a good sign.
If I was you I'd try and wait till Tues or Wed to test tho. I've found if I test early it doesn't help me at all cos I just get a BFN but then tell myself that I could still be PG.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 30/03/2008 14:24

CC at the top of your chart page on FF there is a button saying home page setup, click on that and there is the url link at the top of the link copy and paste that onto here and follow the instructions to post a link under the emoticon instruction at the bottom does that make any sense?

beaniesteve · 30/03/2008 14:29

Good Luck Caspercat! I am the same with my temperatures. I always wake up before the alarm goes off and I can't really set it earlier as the BF is a light sleeper and would just get annoyed. So I have been taking it as soon as I realise I am actually awake if that makes sense.

My temps seem to be going up and down so it's a bit zig-zaggy on my chart and I don't know if that's because I'm not taking it right.

am on day 4 of my period and it may be slowing down. Hurrah!

Hello to everyone else

caspercat · 30/03/2008 14:38

ei, so sorry, just cannot figure out how to do it, i feel so stupid . Technology just passes me by! Will ask DH to help when he comes back from work, so hopefully it will up later! Told you i was a numpty

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 30/03/2008 17:25

lol CC not to worry it took me ages to figure it out aswell you are not a numpty
