Well as I understood it not many luteal phases are longer than 14 days, hence me saying 10 - 14 days so 5 - 9 dpo?

ClairePO · 18/03/2008 19:42

Oh gosh Piper, I missed your news, so sorry! Congrats! Hope everything goes well this time.

caspercat · 18/03/2008 20:10

Congrats Piper1984. Am new on here, so not caught up with everyone's stories, but really hope all goes well for you, it's such an anxious waiting game we're all caught up in!!
Can i ask a quick question of anyone - is anyone using Boots ovulation sticks? Started with them yesterday - after you pee on them, you're meant to get a faint line for -ve, or solid line for +ve, next to the control line. I didn't get a line at all! I followed the instructions to the letter, so just wondering what i'm doing wrong. Any ideas??
Any news, JaamyButty?

hi ladies
LS sorry AF got you better luck this cycle then xx
piper OH MY LORDY!!!! HUUUGE CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!!!!!!!! here is loads of sticky bean dust* confusedttc i second what claire said i would wait to test as you would be at most around 9dpo and that would mean almost certainly any test would be and unreliable BFN give it til the weekend and if AF hasnt arrived til then do a test good luck
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

beaniesteve · 18/03/2008 20:22

caspercat

do you mean you got no control line either? If you did get a control line then there not being another line doesn't mean it's failed, just that your'r not detecting a LH surge.

You should test from about 9 or 10 days after the first day of your period to about day 16.

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 18/03/2008 20:24

hi caspercat i dont do opks myself but someone will be along soon to help i just didnt want it to seem as if i had ignored you
xx ei xx

SparklyMummy · 18/03/2008 20:26

BS and caspercat I thought no control line meant the test hadn't worked? I use cheap OPKs from ebay so these might be different. Keep trying with them Casper and Emmsy says that you should try and do at least one per day between 2pm and 8pm. You should try and do 2 where possible too to be sure that you don't miss the LH surge.

caspercat · 18/03/2008 20:33

Hi BS - i did get a control line - the instructions say if you don't get a 2nd line, check you held stick in the wee for no more than 10secs & that you didn't splash the window with wee, as these would mess up the test. Otherwise, repeat the test!! I tested on cd 12 and have had EWCM, so seemed like the best time. Am so confused!!
Thankyou both for your replies, EI, would never think you'd ignored me, is really difficult to keep up with things on this thread

SparklyMummy · 18/03/2008 20:36

On my OPKs you only get a test line if you are due to OV. This test line has to be darker than the control line. Just BD BD BD to be on the safe side!

Jaamy Hope you're ok. xx

Moonlit · 18/03/2008 21:10

Hi Ei, Mibbles, Fairydustcomingover, JaamyButty, SparklyMummy and MollieMooma. Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes and get well messages. I feel so much better already .

My hubby doesn't want to come anywhere near me at the moment, the sight of your wife's dripping nose into her cleavage isn't a great turn on I guess . He can't afford to get my germs because he travels a lot. So we will probably give BDing a miss this month.

Congrats Piper. You lucky thing! .

JaamyButty · 19/03/2008 09:33

Good Morning Ladies!

Congrats Piper. Hope this one sticks.

Welcome Sairz. Sorry to hear about ep. We tried for 3 years to get DD1 so I know how difficult the waiting game is, though I didn't have an ep so very for you. You're very welcome to hang out here for a while.

LittleSquirt - sorry you're back at the top of the list. Make the most of it...glass of wine, soft cheese, cheesecake, because next month will be the one.

CC - Sorry, I have absolutely no idea on OPKs. Tried them 5 years ago when TTC DD1 and had no success .

tink - have you been to the doctor, just to make sure everything is ok? Will save you going through this agony of waiting.

Thanks for all the messages. Spoke to LWH last night. Blood test was positive but hormone levels low. Going back in tonight for another blood test to see if levels gone up or down. Will get results tomorrow evening. So no wine or Brie for me, for now.

JaamyButty · 19/03/2008 09:35

BS - good luck with blood test result today.

Sairz Sorry to hear of your EP. We're all here if you need us. Lots of baby dust for a BFP ASAP * Jaamy* Good luck tonight hun. I'm hoping you can't have any wine or soft cheese for a looonnnggg 9 months
BS I must have missed your post about blood test. Good luck.

I saw my GP today and she was lovely. Wants me to have day 21 bloods taken and pop back in for results a week later...Mibbles Think we'll get our results at the same time and they will prob be the same results with our identical cycles.

JaamyBunny · 19/03/2008 10:57

Thanks SM. Will just be a quick in and out tonight for the bloods. You are lucky to have a good GP. It does help when the docs and nurses are nice. The staff at LWH are really lovely so I don't feel so stupid with the "Errr...think I might be pg"!

When are you having your bloods done?

tinkerbell2 · 19/03/2008 11:21

morning jaamy test results sound good good luck for tonites test results.
i have a drs appointment next fri

MiMao · 19/03/2008 11:34

Hello everyone

Just had to come on and babble because I cant speak to anyone else about this. Dh thinks I am going insane and drive him mad every month...

I keep sneaking in here every month when I am due on to join in then sulk out when af arrives

Well today I am two days overdue my cycle is normally 29 days and has been exactly that for the last few months so fingers crossed.

I am trying not to get too excited because I feel like something is happening in my tummy and that af is about to come but I felt like that when pregnant with no.2 so trying to ignore it.

Also we are not actively trying like working out dates and having lots of sex, in fact we are so tired at the moment but had sex around ovulation recently and we dont use protection - just dont go the whole way .

So there is a possibility I could be - PLEASE!

I am working on twisting Dh's arm to try properly because we agreed end of this year to start ttc but he is relaxed about it if it did happen.

Sending lots of luck to you all x

beaniesteve · 19/03/2008 11:42

MiMao why do you use the withdrawal method if you DO want to get pregnant?

You could be pregnant, have you done a test.

SM it's so nice having a good doctor. Am phoning for my blood results after 2

JaamyBunny · 19/03/2008 12:31

Ohh Mimao. How exciting...you might be joining the gad list. Fingers crossed for you.

Hope results are "favourable" later BS

Tink - glad to see you're going to see doc - might be that there's something very simple and you just need a bit of a kick start (?) or something.
