my research on the interweb tells me this...

"in Early pregnancy Your cervix should be high just like during ovulation, except closed. It will also still feel soft, more like lips."

Wonder how I know it's closed?

hi ladies
sorry BS that you are unsure about your ov dateas long as you have been BDing then you are still in with a chance of catchin the egg. and not all women have +ves on opks a few just dont find them helpful at all. also your cycles might change now that you are TTC mine certainly have keep going and BDing and you will be fine
hi to everyone else nowt to report here as only CD6 or so so iv still got a few days before the excitement starts
i remembered to temp today so hopefully i will get a good view of my cycle this time around

Hi all, sorry 'bout the unwanted visitor, MollieMooma & Mentalpup, & big (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))musicgirl, so so sorry.
BSS hooray for your +ve OPK - hope the BDing works!!
pinkgirl, hope you don't get too tired hanging in that tree!
Seems like ages till i get to use my OPKs, and my Temp charting is all over the place at the mo, differing by about 1 degree daily, Don't know how i'll know when i've ovulated using that. But i think i've located my cervix .
Apologies for missing loads of people out, finding it really hard to keep up, is such a busy page, but i really am trying to catch up daily, and send lashes of baby dust & sweet baby dreams to all xxxxx

twinklingfairy · 13/03/2008 16:47

beanie once you have had a wee feel once or twice through the month, it is really easy to feel when it is open.
It changes so quickly over the space of a few days.
Sorry if TMI
If the opks are not working for you and, as ei said, for some they don't. Then watching for EWCM and checking your cervix is as good a way to do it.

I think it is mad that our bodies do all these things and can be predicted, once you know your cycle better.

Did you say you were drinking a lot of water? Cos, as far as I know that can make the opk less good. I think you have to hold on to your wee for hours before testing, to get the best result.

mibbes · 13/03/2008 16:51

BSS CB if you got +ve opk today then keep BDing. Once you have ov'd you'll get -ve opk so my guess is that last night was excellent timing and another BD tonight wouldn't hurt either - good luck
beaniesteve it is so difficult to keep the wee in for 4 hours prior to doing opk but at the same time the advice is to drink plenty of water to help with EWCM - so flippin' difficult ! You can also try green tea, evening primorse oil and flaxseed oil to help with EWCM. I have never been able to find cervix, but GP managed to find it when I had an internal so there is one in there !
so sorry she got you MollieMooma & Mentalpup
{{{{hugs}}}} musicgirl so sorry
caspercat it is normal for temps to differ each day, my pre-ov temps have gone from 36.12 to 36.52, you'll see a definite shift after ov and if you use FF it will tell you when you have ov'd.

pinkgirl30 · 13/03/2008 17:02

hi cc pinkgirl sits on branch due to arms aching from to much hanging around waiting.
bs interesting pinkgirl makes a memo next time i wee will feel cervix and report back

beaniesteve · 13/03/2008 17:08

thanks pinkgirl

JaamyButty · 13/03/2008 17:20

Ah-a, right, so temp goes up AFTER ov? So the films you see where prospective mum takes temp and then phones DH to say "It's time! Get your a*$e home now. We got a baby to make.", is actually bo££ocks! Because if her temp has spiked then, it's too late.

Sorry, still got 'L' plates! Is it any wonder it took 3 years and a helping hand from Clomid to get DD1?

mibbes · 13/03/2008 22:23

Ha ha Jaamy I thought exactly the same when I found out about charting temps ! Apparently it can still be worth a BD as soon as you see the thermal shift but it is more likely to moment has passed

caspercat · 14/03/2008 09:40

Morning all .
Kate2179, is it your scan today??? Good luck, am sure it'll all go brilliantly.
Mibbes, thanks for the tip, will go on FF now. Hope the holiday BDing has worked - babydust (hope that worked!!).
BSS, Beanie, pinkgirl & tf - hope things are working out for you all, I'm looking forward to congratulating someone on a BFP during my first few weeks of climbing aboard!
Am not much use on the advice, you all seem to know loads (i'm here to learn!), but hope i can increase the baby vibes xxxxxx

piper1984 · 14/03/2008 10:24

Hi Ladies,

musicgirl, so sorry to here your news.

Anyone any advice on temping? i was temping for a week or so before the stove went and temps were 36.44 all week, just started again couple of days ago and it started at 37.01 and has been going up every day. is that normal? sorry for long post

hello to all hcb Ei Sm Fl JJB

and CB Eleveld and all the newbies

beaniesteve · 14/03/2008 10:32

Hi Mibbles, my period is due next wednesday. I have been trying to sort my hormones out by taking Vit B6, eating sunflower seeds etc, so hopefully my cycle will be longer than the 24 days it was last time.

I'll test on Thursday morning if there's no sign of my period

mibbes · 14/03/2008 10:48

piper sounds like you have ov'd as there is a definite shift between pre-explosion temps and temps this week Did you think you had ov'd ? The fact that temps keep rising is a good sign, long may it continue
beanie crossing everything for you. I have been trying vit B6 too, it didn't make any difference last cycle but I'm trying to delay pre-AF spotting as opposed to lengthen LP (LP is 13-14 days). Maybe it just takes a while to kick in.
The other helpful aid fo EWCM is grapefruit juice but I have to admit that I didn't have any on holiday and still had EWCM so not sure it makes a huge difference.
Oh and Jaamy if I have a holiday bean it would have to be called Madeira for a girl or Funchal for a boy !

beaniesteve · 14/03/2008 10:49

I did drink a lot of grapefruit juice in the first part of my cycle and took Evening Primrose oil. I'm rattling from all the pills and glowing from all the juice

Emmsy1 · 14/03/2008 11:12

piper forgot to mention to you before (on msn) that if you get your BFP can you add it on to my tiny list in the other waiting room, can also post your temps there if you want, we have a very small group at the moment! although you probably wont need to temp for much longer!

piper1984 · 14/03/2008 11:15

thanks emmsy i was lucking there earlier on lol

thanks mibbles hopefully its a good sign, fingers crossed

piper1984 · 14/03/2008 11:16
