And Angel-30E! Now that IS impressive. I am a very dull 34D. Depressingly I looked at a few photos of myself pre-children recently. I looked like I had implants or something as I have got so used to my somewhat droopy boobs these days!

carolyn1941 · 15/03/2008 08:19

good morning everyone!

Juanitad - has it sunk in yet??? I bet you're walking on air this morning. Glad you got a great response off DH. Hope your baby dust reaches the rest of us soon. I told DP that you were PG and he was happy . I think it's cos we have similar situations so it gives us hope!!!

Can't believe the talk about the bra size! I'm only 34B and that increasing is one of the PG side effects I'm looking forward to most!!!

I'm on CD24 here so starting to get a teeny bit excited. Will test on Friday(CD30) hopefully if no AF!!! Not sure if I think am pg or not as yet! (clearly I have no idea what it might actually feel like!)

Have a great day everyone

juanitad · 15/03/2008 08:55

Hi Carolyn,

Yes, I'm feeling good this morning. I am not usually awake at this hour - I tend to have a really really long lie-in on a Saturday (we're talking disgustingly late!), but as soon as I woke up this morning, I couldn't get back to sleep, my head was buzzing too much!

I'm sending lots of baby dust your way.........and to everyone else too!

Heartmum2Jamie · 15/03/2008 10:35

Hehehe Juanitad! Disgustingly long lie-ins on a saturday will be a thing of the past once baby arrives. Well worth it though.

Carolyn, fingers and legs (dh doesn't want to bd, fine by me!) firmly crossed for you here.

ceebee74 · 15/03/2008 12:28

Juanitad ? no wonder you are buzzing ? have you got any symptoms yet? Just wait until the exhaustion sets in and then you will be reinstating those Saturday lie-ins pronto Just remind me how many cycles you have had since starting TTC (I am just curious).

Well, AF has now gone AWOL again ? grrrr! Apart from the bleeding I had yesterday after me and DH had bd ? there has been nothing at all and no cramps or anything else. Bloody typical for my cycle to go haywire now just when it seemed to be settling down after coming off the pill So does yesterday count as CD1 even if I don?t bleed anymore??? I am so confused by what is going on ? my body sure is playing tricks on me at the moment.

Hi to everyone else ? hope you are all having a good weekend so far x

Bellie · 15/03/2008 12:57

ceebee - sorry you are having such a wierd time at the moment? (whispers very very queitly - it isn't an implantation bleed is it? I had something similar with dd but probably a bit lighter than you described)

Juanitad I bet you can't stop grinning can you?

Wave to everyone else - hope you are having a good weekend!

MrsPuddleduck · 15/03/2008 14:23

Just popped in quickly.

Congratulations Juanitad!

It is official, we are defintely getting a kitten. I have just sent my friend a text (she hasn't got back to me yet though which is unusal so I hope he hasn't gone). He is a little black and white boy - only 3 weeks old though so we will have to wait for him.

All we have to do now is name him. DH wants to call him Eddie (Iron Maiden mascot - he is a huge fan - as is DS1 at the age of 4!) and it seems to be quite popular, but I suppose we may change our minds in the coming weeks.

Laters, I am off for a snooze!

MJIM-Declan reminds me of Ant and Dec, one of the mum's at school has a 2 year old called Ethan and he is a horror, My brother's dog is called Harvey and Tristan, well, not sure. Have been honest but seriously I like them all apart from Tristan.

MJIM - out of all those I have to say I do like Ethan or Declan (Harvey reminds me of Jordan and Tristan sound very public-school) - both lovely names. What is your DS called (if you don't mind me asking - tell me to mind my own business if you want )

Oops Ceebee I think I might be in the public school domain! I like v traditional names, William, James, Edward.... Why only boys names though? What about Emily, Imogen, Olivia...

HC How many sticks have you made it through so far? I like Marmalade!

Willmouse had a black & white kitten for about a week at university, her name was Charlotte. We are predominately a dog family and will be getting one as soon as we are settled in our new house. Wherever that may be. DH getting more optimistic and DS just excited!

MJIM Glad to hear you are back to your old self and thinking of names. DH could only agree on Two boys and One girls name. In the end I told him he only had the right to veto, not to choose! We found out we were having a boy at 20 week scan (we didn't tell anybody else), but his name wasn't decided until we saw him. Haven't been really house hunting yet just browsing, we have seen a couple of things but they are now under offer. But now our house is under offer we can sort of get started.

Carolyn, keeping everything crossed for you too.

Bellie hve you got dates for your tests yet?

ceebee74 · 15/03/2008 21:51

Your Ds's name is lovely - no wonder you still love it now (I still love my DS's name 20 months later and think I always will).

Declan Isaac sounds lovely - I do like that. What about a girls name?

OP posts:
ceebee74 · 15/03/2008 21:53

Soosy - x-posts. I don't mind 'public' school names - in fact Dh has one of those you have mentioned. Tbh, Tristan reminds me of All Creatures Great and Small which I didn't want to say as it shows my age

OP posts:
soosy · 15/03/2008 21:58

LOL Yes it shows your age, Ceebee, but it shows mine as well as I know what you mean...... Anyway I used to have quite a crush on Tristan.

Love the name Isaac MJIM!

Beautiful name Caitlin, any middle name? I was going to have an Olivia, but I have now changed my mind.... Not going to tell you as I am very superstitious esp with all the ivf treatment.

ceebee74 · 15/03/2008 22:02

MJIM - of course I can tell you as I am not bothered who knows - his name is Joshua (but we call him Josh) - very common I know but I have loved it from when we decided that was his name.

Caitlin is lovely btw - absolutely beautiful

Fess up ceebee-you know Josh is down to your 'lurve' of Sawyer. Even though I swoon over Sayid-Naveen isn't top of my fave names so am sticking with Matthew which I chose about 20 years ago. Luckily, one of the other cast members, Jack is played by Matthew Fox so I can follow your lead

soosy-think I've used about 10 sticks so far so 40 to go. Am loving it at the moment but probably won't when actually TTC.

morning all-hope you all had a good day. Loving the chat about the baby names. This is where being a teacher has its ups and downs as you do go off certain names if you taught a horror with that name! Of the ones you mentioned I like them all, especially Isaac, Ethan and Caitlin. tbh Caitlin is my fave girls name but as I have the initial "C" think it would have caused confusion on mail etc! Really happy you are having it! Not so keen on Declan if being totally honest, but not sure why!I teach a fab boy called Isaac. Quite like Jack but not sure how common it is??? DP has already picked out a boys name if we get pg but is a bit more flexible for a girl. Middle name will be Olivia as his Grandma is called Olive (she's 88 and absolutely mint!). He's convinced we are going to have twins anyway!OMG!!!

Glad everyone is feeling well even with the arrival of AF's and we can now look forward to another month of BDing stories!

We went to a party last night and I think people were a tad suspicious about me not really drinking! (I had a couple of half's of lager) but much less than I normally would at such an event. Noone said anything though.

yey about the cat! i love cats myself. Very happy you got him persuaded!

Hi everyone,

The baby name debate has got me thinking now too, although maybe it's a little bit early for me!! I know that I would love Patrick for a boy - I'm from an Irish family, so would like an Irish name. Also, the reason DH and I met was our mutual friend, called Patrick, so it seems fitting!!

As for girls, I like Emily, but my best friend who had her baby on mother's day called her baby Emily, so that's off limits now. I also like Eve/Evie, but would like some other options to fall back on and can't really come up with anything I really like. I agree with you Carolyn, that being a teacher definitely puts you off certain names, if there's been a little monster with that name in one of your classes!!

I did a second pg test last night - well, there were 2 in the packet, so I thought I might as well use the other one up, just to make sure!! Same result, thank goodness!

HC, marmalade is a lovely cat. Am trying to figure out how to put a picture of my cat on, and do a link like you did, but am a computer dunce. What do I have to do?

Wilmouse, I can't wait to see a picture of your kitten when you get him. As we adopted ours from a rescue place, she was already fully grown when we got her, so we never had the fun of having a cute kitten in the house!!

Carolyn, re: the drinking thing - I know exactly what you mean. It's way too early for me to tell anyone , but I have loads of nights out coming up soon - somebody's leaving do from work this Thursday, a girls night out the week after. Don't know whether to make up some reason why I'm not drinking (I could use the old favourite - I'm on antibiotics), or whether I should not give a reason at all.

Ceebee - not really any symptoms yet, although my skin has been awful this week. My skin isn't great anyway, the teenage acne seems to have lasted and lasted with me, but I do a good job covering it up. This week however, it's been like an explosion on my face, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the hormones. This was our third cycle at TTC. We had planned to start after Christmas, and it was in January that we really started going for it, BDing as much as poss, but in December, what with the festive spirit and everything, we did BD a couple of times and decided not to use condoms, so I would count that as one cycle, even though we weren't putting all our efforts into it. The title of this thread is definitely the way to go though, as this time we went for the every other night approach and it worked!!

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all enjoying your weekends!

Sorry this has been such a long post!

ceebee74 · 16/03/2008 13:30

HC - don't give away my secrets as to why DS is called Josh (DH still hasn't twigged that tbh )

Ooh baby names - one of my fave subjects. Eve and Olivia are both lovely names. I think we have decided on Georgia for a girl (although I also love Chloe, Jessica, Sophie and Ruby). Boys names I find so much harder - I thought I liked Charlie but tbh, I am going off that a little at the moment. I do really like Adam aswell but a colleague has a son called Adam and he is a real 'bad' lad so it has kinda put me off that name.

Juanitad - I completely agree about adult acne. I suffer from it badly (although it did clear up completely whilst pg and for a good 12 months afterwards so maybe yours will too ) so if I did get pg, I don't think I would notice if my skin did erupt . Glad you have not got any sickness - fingers crossed for you that you are lucky and get through without sickness

Hi to everyone else.

AF still missing in action so nothing since Friday afternoon - I have no idea about whether my last cycle as ended and if so, when does the next cycle begin? Glad I got those ov sticks as at least they might give me a clue.
