@bringmearainbow I know!! Raging..might be old stick on Amazon?

OP posts:
bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 10:48

@MrsJGrealish I just ordered one on Amazon as I only have 2 e@h left too usually I am well stocked up 😂 I've been so busy I feel like I'm much further along but alas only 4dpo today

MrsJGrealish · 17/07/2023 11:01

@bringmearainbow ugh the long wait. I feel rubbish today. Achy hip of all things...age is catching up with me 😂😂 might order one myself now

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 11:05

@MrsJGrealish They're... what?? FRER are like our group's symbol! What are we going to use instead? I like E@H but they're not exactly 'pretty' tests 😂

curliegirlie · 17/07/2023 11:40

Agggh, and there's me having just wasted the FRERs that I had on Amazon subscription at 8dpo and 9dpo 🤦‍♀️. Although if you can't use 'em for early testing, what is the point?! I did notice though that the "two pack" I ordered came through as two extremely bashed about looking single packs, so probably old stock! That's mad though. As far as I'm aware, FRERs are the only tests that capture 6.5miu which is a pretty major USP!

BFN (of course!). I know it's very early days, but judging the BFPs I had previously at 10dpo, I'd expect today to have a teeny squinter at least if anything exciting had happened 😩😢

bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 12:01

@curliegirlie last time I had really really bfn at 9dpo in the evening. I was convinced I was because I truly felt so weird since 7dpo. I tested again 10dpo FMU and there was a line these things work in mysterious ways 🤷🏼‍♀️

LuckyMoonstone · 17/07/2023 13:13

I just had my 32 week scan and baby size/weight just above 50th centile same as last time so that’s good, nice and average lol. However this time, just the AC (tummy) measurement is on the 90th, whereas last time it was all the same. My consultant said everything looked fine and didn’t even mention it 😕 don’t know if it’s an oversight or genuinely doesn’t mean anything bad. I thought a big tummy measurement was a problem, especially having GD.

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 13:50

@LuckyMoonstone Glad baby is measuring ok :) Strange they didn't mention the other measurement though 🧐

LuckyMoonstone · 17/07/2023 14:08

@TheBirdintheCave yeah just said everything was fine. I’m trying to Google but I can’t get a direct answer about what a big AC measurements means compared to the other ones being smaller. I am seeing my midwife next week so I can ask her, and then another scan the following week so I suppose we will go over everything again then! In the meantime it’s back to the GD diet, except I’m going even stricter now 😩

bunnykins123 · 17/07/2023 16:57

@LuckyMoonstone glad the scan went well! My understanding is that big tummy is usually down to GD which you are being monitored for. My babes tummy is also big, the rest is measuring average. The only difference is that his predicted weight reflects a big tum. Try not to google, I feel like there is so much conflicting advice on there. I also left my GD kit at work today 🤦‍♀️

@TheBirdintheCave omg that's so exciting!! Can you take a pic and share with us? I so so hope this is your sticky bean!

@MrsJGrealish what! Since when are they discontinuing FRERs?! Whhhhy! They are so much better than any other!

@curliegirlie I always found my FRERs from Amazon came bashed up. No idea why! That's right, they detected my HCG at 6 following my 1st miscarriage so they are super sensitive. Sorry to hear about the bfn -
10dpo is still quite early!

LuckyMoonstone · 17/07/2023 17:00

@bunnykins123 but is it not considered dangerous, or something they at least need to keep an eye on before and after birth? I was just very surprised that the consultant said everything was fine and didn’t even mention it.

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 17:41

@bunnykins123 I will tomorrow if it's darker :) Not holding out too much hope though 😅

bunnykins123 · 17/07/2023 17:59

@LuckyMoonstone I'm not sure. My understanding that the biggest risk with GD is big baby. But don't quote me on that 😂 my last scan was basically more about managing GD than babe being big. Have they discussed maybe inducing you earlier? I'm having my C-section at 38 weeks.

bunnykins123 · 17/07/2023 18:00

@TheBirdintheCave got everything crossed for tomorrow! What DPO day would you be on now? I get a bit confused with dates after transfers etc!

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 18:16

@bunnykins123 Only 8dpo today 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

MrsJGrealish · 17/07/2023 19:38

Ahh sorry for the radio silence. Work was mental today. Has anyone ever seen the clear blues with a pink line? I'm sure I've seen them on mumsnet posts before. Probably American. But they are a pretty test!

@LuckyMoonstone glad your scan went well. The consultant surely would have said if he was concerned? Keep us updated though lovely 💕

OP posts:
LuckyMoonstone · 17/07/2023 20:01

@bunnykins123 yes they have mentioned it briefly, I didn’t say much in response, saving my energy for the ‘absolutely no way am I letting you induce me’ argument 😂

bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 20:06

@MrsJGrealish I've never seen them in the shops I think they are an American thing. Amazon might do them though 🤔

MrsJGrealish · 17/07/2023 20:28

@bringmearainbow I found them online from a uk company with an ridiculous price...be leaving that one well alone 😟

OP posts:
bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 20:44

@MrsJGrealish lol how much were they?

bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 20:47

@MrsJGrealish found them from iherb not a bad price

POAS..the last hurrah 🌈
MrsJGrealish · 17/07/2023 21:00

@bringmearainbow yes!! This is the shop..£15 seems expensive compared to £6 frers we were buying 6 months ago, cost of living applies to preggo tests too apparently 🙄. Have one FRER left and ordered a few cheapies from amazon. Now if they were magic tests I may think differently..🤣

OP posts:
bringmearainbow · 17/07/2023 21:01

@MrsJGrealish I think it's about right for a clear blue price 🙄 gosh I forgot frers were like £6 😂 got a bit used to paying £10 recently 🤦🏼‍♀️

bunnykins123 · 17/07/2023 21:51

@TheBirdintheCave keep us updated, really hope the line is stronger tomorrow 🤞

@LuckyMoonstone defo stick to your guns on that. I honestly don't think these scans are that accurate at predicting anyway!

@MrsJGrealish @bringmearainbow I am sure I've seen them in the shops before? I wonder if they've launched the pink dye ones as the blue dye ones seem to develop indents?

LuckyMoonstone · 17/07/2023 22:00

@bunnykins123 I will try my best. To be honest I have quite a lot of demands for this birth, they are all going to think I’m such an entitled cow 😆 The good thing is that overall baby is being set at 50th centile on grow chart so no reason for them to argue that it’s a big baby! DS was so far off his predicted weight at birth it’s almost laughable 😅
