Comparing those two tests now I can barely see a difference in darkness so I really can't see this working out 😢

LuckyMoonstone · 06/09/2023 09:51

@TheBirdintheCave looked at the pics again, the second one you did is bright blue, much stronger than the day before which was a paler blue. And you were only 10dpo and 11dpo at the time of those tests right? Could you wait and do another at 13 or 14?

curliegirlie · 06/09/2023 10:00

@LuckyMoonstone is right, there's a definite difference there! Hold on in there xxxx

TheBirdintheCave · 06/09/2023 10:19

@LuckyMoonstone They were 10 and 12 which is what was worrying me :/ Next one is tomorrow morning at 14.

curliegirlie · 06/09/2023 10:45

I've never used CB with previous pregnancies but I know that all the non FRER tests I used (ICs etc) were really slow to show progression until I was well past expected AF day...

Indianna2006 · 06/09/2023 13:31

@LuckyMoonstone rods?!! What does they entail? Not sure I want to know tbh hahaha. Do they go where I think they go. HA

@TheBirdintheCave deffo seems darker to me!!

LuckyMoonstone · 06/09/2023 13:35

@Indianna2006 lol they go into the cervix and stimulate it to open somehow? It’s a gentler method than pessary/gel which is what I was hoping for. Lots of people can go home with them in but I’ll have to stay in for monitoring which is fine. Anyway it may not come to that 🤞🤞

Indianna2006 · 06/09/2023 14:08

@LuckyMoonstone I’ve never heard of that method. Interesting.
🤞🏼 it gets going itself.

MrsJGrealish · 06/09/2023 16:16

@LuckyMoonstone I like the irony here..with the rod 😂 never heard of it before either, I've heard of balloons and pessaries. Good luck 🤞🏼 what happens in antenatal ward stays in antenatal ward..the sex and the star jumps were only half the story with DD 🤣🙈

@MrsJGrealish haha I dread to think what you got up to 😜 I know I should be trying sex to induce but I’m too hot and uncomfortable, the idea fills me with dread 😫

TheBirdintheCave · 07/09/2023 10:00

Ok definitely darker than 12dpo but still not near the control 😕

bringmearainbow · 07/09/2023 10:00

@TheBirdintheCave did you test this morning or is it tomorrow?

bringmearainbow · 07/09/2023 10:02

@TheBirdintheCave 😂 cross posted it looks good! I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere near the control line at this point

TheBirdintheCave · 07/09/2023 10:05

I'm pretty sure this is another chemical now 😭 I guess at least it won't delay the next FET too much 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheBirdintheCave · 07/09/2023 10:06

@bringmearainbow It just doesn't seem like it's doubling right which is such a bad sign.

LuckyMoonstone · 07/09/2023 10:08

@TheBirdintheCave my clear blue wasn’t as dark as the control line until after my period was due

bringmearainbow · 07/09/2023 10:21

@TheBirdintheCave you cant tell how well it's doubling from tests. Them getting darker is a good sign. I don't think those tests from your chemical ever really got darker at all did they? Can you get the EPU to blood test you? If the tests are giving you worry and anxiety then maybe try and stop them I know that's easier said than done but you've got to look after your MH ❤️

MrsJGrealish · 07/09/2023 10:44

@TheBirdintheCave I have one I took at 5 weeks I can post if it's helps reassure you?

TheBirdintheCave · 07/09/2023 10:48

@bringmearainbow The hard thing is that I need to monitor it to know when to stop the progesterone ☹️ And no you're right, the chemical never got darker than the line I had a 10dpo with this one.

My EPU just refuse to do blood tests. It would ease (or confirm) my anxiety if they did 😭

TheBirdintheCave · 07/09/2023 10:50

@MrsJGrealish Hmm... ok. Maybe I should wait until next Thursday until I do another test then. Then it should be pretty clear what's going on.

Sorry guys, I don't think I realised how much the chemical has scarred me.

MrsJGrealish · 07/09/2023 11:27

@TheBirdintheCave hateful things..xx ❤️ I got an hcg test after taking this and it was like 444

OP posts:
bunnykins123 · 07/09/2023 12:55

@TheBirdintheCave the test looks really good! My advice is put down the tests and stop testing. It'll drive you up the wall crazy! I never had HCG tested at epu, only had 3x scans. Are you part of the reoccurring miscarriage clinic?

LuckyMoonstone · 07/09/2023 13:04

@TheBirdintheCave you are well within your rights to be anxious and scared, it’s totally understandable ❤️ easier said than done but I hope you can find a way to take your mind off things and have a few days break between tests maybe, so that next time you do one you’ll see a big difference

curliegirlie · 07/09/2023 13:09

@MrsJGrealish wow, that hcg result at 5 weeks puts my pregnancy last year into perspective. I never really was sure of dates, as it was a surprise, but I had my positive on 5th March, followed by a CB 1-2 weeks the following day. The MC was on 9th March, then I had a blood test on 14th March with put my levels at 43 (then dropping to 27). Given all that, I wonder whether I picked up the pregnancy at 10dpo or something or my HCG levels just initially dropped really quickly? They didn't drop down below 10 for another 3 weeks though (judging by the squinters I was still getting on tests)
