Morning everyone,

I am in cycle 6 of this weird and wonderful TTC journey.

I'm starting this thread for anyone that needs a safe place to rant, share, ask question or anything else. Hopefully we can support each other.

This is cycle day 3 for me. My AF wasn't actually due until 30th June but decided to show up a whole 6 days early so here we are!

And as hippy as this sounds, I had a reading at the beginning of the year and the lady was adamant July was my month so we'll see I guess! xx

Hi @elle18310

I'll join you if that's ok? I'm currently 4DPO and this is cycle 1 TTC#2.

I've not done any ovulation tests or anything this month so just going off my Flo app and then will start testing next month if not successful.

That's annoying that AF came early but better than late I guess! Nothing worse than knowing your not pregnant and waiting ages for your period to appear.

Will this be your first? I've got a daughter who just turned 2 a couple months back.

Good luck! Hope this is your month!

elle18310 · 28/06/2023 09:40

@MLN89 Morning! Of course you can. 4dpo, not long left to test which is exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time!
I agree, better early than late. Late is heart wrenching!
I have a 10 year old and had a loss in january so hoping it happens soon, my gap is already pretty big so lots of prayers and hope!

Please do keep me posted on how you are and I hope this is your month xx

@elle18310 hello! 1dpo here on my second full cycle since a MMC in April. I also have a DS who was 2 in January. Prayers and hope for us all! 🤞🏻😊

elle18310 · 29/06/2023 11:38

@SnookyPook Morning and welcome! xx Sorry to hear about your MMC xx

SnookyPook · 29/06/2023 11:52

@elle18310 thank you and sorry to hear about your January loss too. Adds another layer to TTC doesn't it. Is your 10yr old keen on a sibling? My stepdaughter was 11 when my son was born and they absolutely adore each other! It's so cute to see them together. She had wanted a sibling for a while but was also quite happy as an only child and I think this age gap has worked really well for her. She can now dote on little brother without any angst or jealousy about what it means for her relationship with us etc. Despite the massive gap they get on like a house on fire! He really misses her when she's not here. At the weekends he goes through to her room in the morning and climbs into bed with her for snuggles 🥰

elle18310 · 29/06/2023 12:16

@SnookyPook this is really what I needed to hear right now. Sounds wonderful 😍
I worried for so long about the gap and he was so excited for a sibling and still is. Thank you! Thankfully I hadn't got very big with my last pregnancy so for him he didn't see that physical change and I explained even on a scan when it looks like a baby it is very tiny still so he took it quite well xx

Hi, hope your don't mind me joining.
This is my 3rd cycle of ttc. I am currently on day 6 of the cycle. It is however my first month utilising OPK.

I have a son he's almost 14 but was a surprise. so I'm actually very new to the ttc scene.

TTCbaby01 · 29/06/2023 14:46

Cycle day 6 for me too! This is month number 3 trying for baby number 1 for me! Battling with a blocked tube diagnosed unrelated a few years ago, which makes me anxious it won't happen naturally! But 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

elle18310 · 29/06/2023 15:14

Welcome @FinallyMrsT and @TTCbaby01 nice to have you both on board xx

Hi ladies! CD6 for me, month 1ttc for 2nd child. Have 1DD who is almost 2.
Conceived DD month 1, but also conceived 2 pregnancies before her month 1 that ended in quite late MC (11 weeks and 9 weeks) and it was then discovered I had an underactive thyroid so that was all sorted and I had my lovely girl.

All sounds very positive so far but since DD my periods have got further apart and last month a cd3 test came back very, very bad. I.E. Signs of early menopause. I have been taking a billion vitamins all month and then the tests were repeated this month and everything is back to normal. No idea wtf is going on but I had wanted to wait another 6 months to ttc but husband and I decided it might be now or never!

Knock123 · 29/06/2023 19:00

Should have said as well, my cycles have been 39ish days so it's going to be a very long wait!

elle18310 · 29/06/2023 20:11

@Knock123 welcome aboard! Xx
glad to hear your most recent tests are normal and I’m so sorry to hear about your loss ❤️
I had my second blood test today also so will report back with results when I have them. Fingers crossed for good news xx
i really hope it works out for us all and hopefully we can share stories, tips, support each other and be there along the way x
seed cycling has gone well today! I stocked up my cupboards and am on potion of vitamins,
if anyone has anyone advice I’d be grateful. I’m currently taking b12, zinc, folic acid, iron, and vit d! Seems a lot! Xx

Hi we are TTC #1, this is our third cycle. My periods are slightly irregular, I was expecting to ovulate this week so have DTD loads but instead I’ve started having some brown discharge? I’ve had quite bad jet lag since coming from holiday so I’m hoping this is the reason for the slightly messed up cycle. I’m getting frustrated everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant with no problems!

FinallyMrsT · 29/06/2023 21:54

@Chickentonights if your periods are irregular it could be worth seeing your gp early on in ttc. Have you utilised OPKs?
My plan is to go gp around 6 months if no luck... simply because I'm concerned if a nasty post partum infection has left me with any lasting damage.

Chickentonights · 29/06/2023 21:56

Yes I use OPKs, I get a period every month but my cycle length seems to vary between 28 and 36 days. Usually get a strong positive OPK with EWCM and sore boobs right after until AF. The brown discharge mid cycle is new. I’ve read that travel and jet lag can mess with ovulation though.

satellitesunshine · 29/06/2023 22:00

hi! please can i join! 8dpo but not feeling too hopeful as only on first cycle - ttc baby #3. i have a 2 year old and a 6 month old so have literally just got my cycle back - ovulated later than expected this month so not sure if things will regulate or not. i kind of have a feeling i might have not actually ovulated this month for some reason despite opks hence not feeling hopeful

elle18310 · 29/06/2023 22:05

Welcome @Chickentonights and @satellitesunshine xx
@Chickentonights i always suffered spotting mid cycle when I was younger but I have two wombs and two cervix so always assumed it was down to that? Bizarre really! Because then before falling pregnant I wasn’t having periods and needed progesterone to kick start it all again?! Bodies are a mystery sometimes! I’d definitely keep a track or journal type notes on it all incase you end up needing to see a gp xx

@satellitesunshine 8dpo not too long to wait! And if not this cycle you’ll have us for company as we all start our cycles again this month xx
i have everything crossed for you! ❤️

OP posts:
Knock123 · 29/06/2023 22:21

@Chickentonights travelling really can mess up your cycle. I had several long haul work trips plus a holiday in a short space of time once and I ended up bleeding and spotting for about a month

elle18310 · 30/06/2023 05:38

@Knock123 why does it do that? Xx

OP posts:
satellitesunshine · 30/06/2023 08:10

well aware this makes me look crazy but does anyone see something on this 😂😂

Starting a new cycle for anyone that would like company on this TTC journey!
Chickentonights · 30/06/2023 08:17

@elle18310 I think it’s to do with our circadian rhythms which is basically our internal body clock, it gets out of rhythm when we cross time zones and can mess up your cycle. It’s the same thing that causes jet lag, it’s not just tiredness from travelling it is our body not knowing when we should be asleep or awake. I’ve had an upset stomach as well which it can cause. I don’t think I’m going to ovulate again all this month tbh,

@satellitesunshine i can’t see it but lines are notoriously bad for showing up in photos! Can you test again tomorrow?

elle18310 · 30/06/2023 08:44

@satellitesunshine you're not crazy, we all do it!! I don't know if I can or can't really. It's so tough, wait and test again tomorrow if you can xx 9dpo today yeah??

OP posts:
Knock123 · 30/06/2023 14:06

@ssatellitesunshine sorry I can't see anything but if it is of any reassurance, I have never ever had a positive until after my period is due when I've been pregnant

Limmers14 · 30/06/2023 16:53

Hello ladies!

I’d like to join please! I’m 32 and had my IUD removed at the end of May. Not sure how long it will take my cycles to regulate, I’ve heard mixed stories from people! I did two ovulation tests at different times in June but both were negative. I got my period yesterday (June 29th) so I think I’ll start testing for ovulation in the next week? July will be the month we start properly trying.

It’s tricky to understand all the different terms on here. What is OPK? Also, any recommendations on how to improve conception chances? I’m cutting out alcohol but don’t know how I’ll manage my morning espresso 😂
