Morning everyone,

I am in cycle 6 of this weird and wonderful TTC journey.

I'm starting this thread for anyone that needs a safe place to rant, share, ask question or anything else. Hopefully we can support each other.

This is cycle day 3 for me. My AF wasn't actually due until 30th June but decided to show up a whole 6 days early so here we are!

And as hippy as this sounds, I had a reading at the beginning of the year and the lady was adamant July was my month so we'll see I guess! xx

@elle18310 ah great news! Well done! 😃

Myna13 · 12/07/2023 17:41

Looking for some advice - what day is a good day to test? Do I need to wait until my period or will I possibly get a positive a few days before?

elle18310 · 12/07/2023 21:25

@Myna13 it really varies for each person, if you can hold out until your period is due, that would be best. But I’m an early tester so if you do it we’ll all be line eyes with you xx

@elle18310 thank you! It's so lovely to have the support of all you lovely ladies. Makes the whole process a lot less lonely. I'm going to see if I can wait until the weekend! Fingers crossed. Will keep you all posted xx

satellitesunshine · 13/07/2023 13:56

is this a positive opk? it’s getting fainter a few hours later :’)

@satellitesunshine I'd say yes, especially if it's since gone down again. If you get the PreMom app, you can take photos of your opks and it gives you a reading and then detects your peak one for you. It sometimes gives the highest one as different to what I'm seeing - it contrasts the ratios of the lines somehow. Attaching an example from mine. It can be interesting and fun to log but saying that, I never used this app previously and just went on looks and I'd have taken your attached one as a positive. As long as you DTD plenty around your higher readings you'll hopefully be ok! 👍🏻

Probably nothing but I'm now 10dpo, my nipples are really sensitive, been having really vivid dreams and have had a dazed feeling the last couple of days. Foggy thoughts and feeling a bit dazed have always been my first symptom when I've been pregnant!

Definitely too early for me to test though as I've never had a positive before my period is due so need to wait for Saturday or Sunday.

Hope we start getting some positives soon. Where is everyone else in their cycle?

Myna13 · 13/07/2023 18:30

@Knock123 keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you!
I'm 4DPO today and been feeling really strange. Been cramping towers my left side and been very nauseous all day. It's definitely too early to test, and possibly even too early for be feeling these symptoms. But it's how I feel! Can't wait until it's testing time

Knock123 · 13/07/2023 18:31

It's so funny ttc, so easy to analyse every weird feeling

Knock123 · 13/07/2023 18:32

I did an OPK as I read a strong positive can be a pregnancy sign and it was high but not positive so not sure that means anything!

Myna13 · 13/07/2023 18:35

@Knock123 it's definitely such a strange thing! I feel tons more in tune with my body suddenly 😂
Don't worry about the OPK test.
Won't be long and you'll be able to poas soon. 🤞

SnookyPook · 14/07/2023 00:21

@Knock123 back to CD4 for me... Gearing up for fertile week again. Tww and pms hit me hard last cycle so just enjoying some respite from the madness while AF visits... 😂

FinallyMrsT · 14/07/2023 15:07

Hi all. Haven't posted in a few days night shifts make me delerius...I'm 8dpo. In my last pregnancy it took 4/5 days past af due to get a decent positive- even the Dr's weren't sure and brought me back 5 days later to retest. I don't think I could cope with questioning is it evap etc so I'm trying to hold out until af is actually late... we shall see.

elle18310 · 16/07/2023 22:14

@FinallyMrsT any update?
3dpo here and trying to keep busy! Of course I’ve POAS already 😂 just embracing my moment of craziness!
hope everyone is doing ok xx

@elle18310 no update.
I haven't tested. Af is due Thursday. And last night I went out out... and I would feel super guilty if I was but I also have that gut feeling that I'm not.
I'm holding out until Wednesday, and it shouldn't be to hard. I'm on 12.5 hour shifts both days...but I also have tests at my disposal there 🤣

elle18310 · 17/07/2023 11:25

@FinallyMrsT lots of people still go out out and have no idea!! I wouldn’t beat yourself up!
Waiting till Thursday is strong, I’m impressed! I have a horrible feeling I’m not either but I do have a tiny glimmer of hope! I’ve been so good (most of the time!) and my last medium reading (I like these 😂) was in April and she said I absolutely would fall pregnant and the months I needed to be aware of were July this year and march next year. Who knows but it’s nice to have a glimmer of hope! Xx

@elle18310 no shame in peeing on a stick at 3dpo. I did it too. I'd rather get it out of my system and see a negative, than just let my mind wander 😂 I am very much a part of the early testers gang.
Don't feel guilty about going out out. A lot of people don't even know. You got this!
Hoping for a BFP for you soon 😀

HappyValleyFan1 · 17/07/2023 12:08

Can I join? 🙋‍♀️ we are possibly moving to TTC next month. We've been NTNP for a few months but finding the not knowing hard after a tough 2.5 conceiving our little boy, that being said I HATE TTC 🙈 I met a fantastic group of ladies through all our struggles last time on MN.

We have DD5 and and DS 14 months, multiple miscarriages in between them, was just about to start IVF so we could karyotype to make sure all ok when we conceived naturally so I'm kinda dreading the process again. I'm definitely in the luteal phase but no idea when I might have ovulated.

Look forward to following all of your stories 😃

FinallyMrsT · 17/07/2023 12:15

@elle18310 @Myna13 I think I just feel guilty because I've tried not to drink since ttc... butvthen lots of people drink and get pg- maybe ill try that next month.

I'm holding out and delaying the disappointment I think
I love going to mediums but I havnt seen one in a while. I think I might make a plan to see one soon.

MLN89 · 17/07/2023 12:17

Hi ladies,

I'm back! My BFN at 8DPO never turned positive. I was a tad disappointed but not shocked as we hadn't DTD much in the fertile window and I was only going off flo with no OPKs so didn't expect it to happen.

I'm now full back in the game! Cycles have been bang on 30 days and I'm on CD9 today so going to start opk's tomorrow.

Fingers crossed this is the month for all of us!

Myna13 · 17/07/2023 12:23

@FinallyMrsT a doctor told my cousin that alcohol in large quantities is obvs not great for a pregnancy, but that she could have 1 beer or 1 wine every day and be fine. She didn't have a drink every day ofcourse, but she did have a beer once in a while through her pregnancies. She has 5 healthy, happy children. So you'll be fine. Don't beat yourself up.
My personal advice would be to stay away from smoke or substances, but a few drinks when you're ttc can't hurt too much.

@MLN89 Glad you're being positive. Hoping this is the lucky cycle and you get a BFP this month! Love and baby dust to you

HappyValleyFan1 · 17/07/2023 13:36

@FinallyMrsT definitely don't feel bad about drinking. I stayed teetotal for 2.5 years whilst TTC previously, of course I fell pregnant the month I decided to squash all the previous rules I set myself. It's so hard not to let it be all consuming but you've got to live too ☺️

TTCbaby01 · 17/07/2023 18:36

7dpo and have had period like cramps since yesterday! TMI but today had really watery CM making my underwear feel wet! Has anyone else experienced that?

Myna13 · 17/07/2023 19:34

@TTCbaby01 I had that on 5-7dpo. On 8dpo it's a lot less but still there a little when I wipe. I've read it's normal. Don't worry too much.

FinallyMrsT · 17/07/2023 20:31

@HappyValleyFan1 so whaf your telling me is, if this month isn't my time, next month I just need to get drunk and jump on oh and ta da?!?! 😅
