Unsure on test result

hey everyone 😊

I am due on in a few days time, started getting pregnancy symptoms just the odd sickness. I did a 6 day early one, ideally would have used First Response as they are more sensitive but could only grab clear blue.

I think its an evap line as it didn’t come up immediately. Same test, a photo in day light and a photo under the room light for reference

thanks in advance x

Girl, I've looked into the tests i brought... Ultra Early CB has 10ML and the Rapid i brought the other day has 25ML. I think it's possible i could be pregnant still after doing this research. If it come up so faintly on the sensitive test then of course it won't show on a less sensitive test. I still haven't come on, and I am a day late now. I had that 2 day of random stringy light blood but nothing since.

what we thinking girls give me some ideas of what to do? Would you wait till at least Monday / Tuesday and buy CB Ultra again for comparison? Would you buy FRER now online to be here for Monday / Tuesday and get a better reading as it's more sensitive? tell me your thoughts i'm interested to hear what you all think xx

@Poppins2016 but do i test with the rapid or go buy some ultra CB again or order online for First Response? I’m going to wait till at least Monday / Tuesday.

fingers crossed for you xx

I would avoid the rapid ones as they aren't super sensitive. I've heard Boots does a good early response one or order some FRERs xx

applesandmares · 01/07/2023 22:57

I'd always test with FRER's! They aren't foolproof as I have seen some issues with them on here but no where near as many evaps etc as with clear blue! I would never buy a clear blue test after all I see on here. Good luck! X

Poppins2016 · 02/07/2023 04:23

@cgwx I'd go for the early result tests - they're more sensitive. I think I'm going to go to Boots today and pick up some of the '6 days early' tests and try tomorrow morning (as long as there's still no sign of my period turning up)! Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🤞🤞

cgwx · 02/07/2023 08:40

@Sealover123 thank you! I think this is where i’ve made the mistake. I still haven’t come i’m now 2 days late. So i’m wondering if the rapid was a false negative. I usually use FRER but there seems to be a stock shortage everywhere!

OP posts:
cgwx · 02/07/2023 08:41

@applesandmares and me! I trust them alot more but they just haven’t got any anywhere, its like they have run out
of stock.

@Poppins2016 I think thats the mistake i’ve made! I’m going to pop to town as well. Let me know how you get on! xx

UPDATE GIRLS - I have calculated back, 10 days after “potential” conception i had that pink spotting. So the 25th when i did the first ultra early test on the PM (original photo that started this thread), that would have been 6 days after conception. 27th on the AM would have been 8 days after conception. The on the 29th i had some pink tinge which would have been 10 days after conception. I think based on that, its possible it was implantation bleeding

🤞 good luck!

cgwx · 02/07/2023 14:04

FML just had an error test fabulous 🤦🏻‍♀️ will have to wait now lol

Poppins2016 · 02/07/2023 15:50

Oh no! Hopefully the next test behaves itself... 🤞

I got a very faint squinter of a line this morning (IC), but I also did an LH test for the hell of it which came up surprisingly strong (i.e. stronger than the pregnancy test), which shouldn't happen... (if pregnant, LH test would be fainter than the HCH test). I've done a bit of research which seems to indicate that LH can cause a false positive on an HCG test (same as HCG can cause a faint line on an LH test)... I've been spotting quite heavily all day and I suspect that my hormones are out of whack and I've just had an anovulatory cycle (that or a chemical pregnancy, but I think the anovulatory cycle is more likely based on the LH test result). Hopefully I'll have a decent bleed and then my next cycle will be normal(ish) again. I might get in touch with my GP and run through it with them, as well as ask for Metformin to try to regulate everything (I have PCOS)... I'm rather disappointed but at least I feel as though I know what's going on! For various reasons I don't want to have a newborn over the summer so if conception doesn't work out next cycle, we're going to need to pause TTC for a while... which is another disappointing prospect (but I'm aware that's due to choice so I shouldn't really complain...).

I bought some more Boots early result tests earlier so at least I'm set up for the next cycle... and I've sent DH out for prosecco so that we can have some Aperol spritz later (I've really fancied it over the last couple of weeks but haven't been drinking due to the faint tests)!

cgwx · 02/07/2023 16:13

@Poppins2016 oh gosh!! Well least you got set up for next month if not this month. I got a dud ultra didnt work. Tried on my next urine and its negative 😳😳 so think if i haven’t come on in a couple of days i’m going to book myself in the drs xx

Poppins2016 · 02/07/2023 16:26

Sorry your test didn't work out. Such a pain when that happens! I hope you get your positive soon (or that the GP is helpful). I feel as though TTC should be easier than this (I mean, most women have spend a large proportion of their sex lives stressing/actively taking precautions to avoid pregnancy and then... it turns out to be harder to get pregnant than you expect)!

Ttcmumma · 02/07/2023 17:21

@Poppins2016 I've seen lots of ladies on here who have strong lh tests and then go on to get a bfp the day or so after x

cgwx · 02/07/2023 17:40

@Poppins2016 Thankyou. Currently don’t know what to do…. Because reading its saying you don’t tend to get positives until 4/5 sometimes 7 days after implantation bleeding. So maybe i am testing too early. God knows at this point! I either pray for a positive now or pray for a period. Either way i need one to put my mind at rest.

and this is also true about women! Xxx

What do we think of these girls? I had a chemical last month and I’m 11dpo today. Lines are blue but broken and faint. I don’t trust clearblues and I’m convinced these are false/evaps but it’s driving me mad. Top was last night, bottom is this morning.

I can definitely see something but I'm always loath to get people's hopes up!

Kellyaust · 02/07/2023 19:32

@Klb95 look like my evaps, currently on 3rd day of AF so definitely wasn't pregnant. I wouldn't use CB again.

UPDATE — still no sign of period girls… had some pink spotting again today. Tested yesterday with CB ultra and was a
clear negative.

UPDATE GIRLS — went to doctors as i had spotting again. She did a check of my temperature, my urine, my tummy, and she asked if she could have a look for examination. Everything seemed ok and she said I can see some blood coming from the place that it should. The pregnancy urine test came back negative, I’ve got no temperature, my tummy is nice and soft. She thinks it’s just a really irregular period this particular time. God knows what was going in early on in June, but i know for sure i will absolute not buy clear blues again!

good luck girls and thanks for the support in the thread x

Glad you got yourself checked out and all is ok. Good luck next month 👍

Poppins2016 · 04/07/2023 16:55

@cgwx your GP sounds really helpful (and that's great you were able to get an appointment so fast too)! Sorry it's not worked out this month. Fingers crossed (for us both!) next cycle! 🌸
