Oh ei Sometimes it is worse than others isn't it . I really do think you should go back to the Drs about your low temps.

My document has gone and I'm going to have to do a whole days work again due to my own stupidity . I've wasted half of today looking for the damn thing - I can't believe it is nearly lunchtime... where has my day gone?

hattyyellow · 02/04/2008 12:04

Oh JB I hate it when that happens! How frustrating for you - do you not have a good IT person who can perform magic and get it back?

If it makes you feel any better, years ago in my first ever job I managed to delete the master document for the whole organisation, showing all their contacts and communications with them!! (in the days before databases!).

I was pratically in tears all day!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 02/04/2008 12:06

i have to go back to the docs about my persistent water infection next week for a check up so i will meantion it again then
sorry about your lost document JB what a bugger!! was it a long one? is there no way it might have been saved somewhere on the hard drive?

JollyBear · 02/04/2008 12:24

Thanks ei and hatty, I've spoken to IT, done everything possible and am just biting the bullet and starting again. hatty no wonder you were in tears!

ei thanks for being lovely to me about my stupid document when you are feeling down. It might not be over for you yet anyway, but if you do get AF I do think it is worth mentioning your low temps.

hattyyellow · 02/04/2008 12:34

Sorry JB just realised my suggestion was rather obvious - meant it as in what a shame IT obviously can't sort it out rather than have you thought of calling your IT department! Will be asking you if you've thought of turning your computer on in the morning next!

ei hugs. I know what you mean, some cycles it's so much easier than others to stay positive - some it just hits you really hard. It's not all over for you yet this month though is it? Everything xd.

Madoldbird · 02/04/2008 13:01

EI oh no, i had high hopes for you this month. I'm not surprised you are feeling down. Fingers crossed AF does not appear and you get a different result in a few days. Can't hurt to mention things to the GP while you are there.

scaryhairy everything crossed for your scan today.

JB you poor thing. It's so frustrating losing something you've been working hard on. I do hope you find it.

Well, you lot have had me in stiches as i've been reading through. creamy CM should now be known as OOUF!! The picture does look incredibly fake - i've never had any that looks like that. I laughed too about her thanking her model for her "photogenic" cervix! i mean, how do you know if you have a photogenic one? Can i send mine out to make some money? Are there agencies??!! The picture i think is the worst is the one with the very open cervix "exuding" EWCM. It makes me feel inadequate when i see it - i don't think mine has ever "exuded" in its life

JollyBear · 02/04/2008 14:13

Oh don't worry hatty, it was a perfectly sensible suggestion, specially as I am someone who hasn't yet mastered the basics of saving a file

MOB We might have gorgeous cervixes (cervixi???) but never know!

GryffinGirl · 02/04/2008 17:15

Jolly - I am so about the document. You must be gutted! Poor you and hopefully someone on the geeky Stuff threads who knows about document retrieval can help. I hope so! If you are exploring the outer reaches of MN, try Pedants' Corner and maybe someone there will know the plural of cervixes/cervixi (??) PMSL again on this thread

Ei - I am so sorry AF might be on her way and it was a BFN this month. Try not to be too down. It's hard to be positive sometimes though. With all the talk about Oil of Olay, at least we keep you smiling on this thread!

hello to everyone else and sorry not to say hi individually - running out of time. Anyway, DH and I went to the GP today who was lovely and very knowledgable . He's either been doing a lot of bedtime reading on male infertility or DH hadn't ask him any questions last time, scarpered out the surgery quick-sharp and then pretended the doctor didn't know . I think the first option. Anyway, we have a referral to the Fertility Unit.

The referral appointment is on 28th April which is super-quick apparently for London and it's at our (very) local hospital too. GP advised us to stick with the NHS as waiting times are so good at the moment and the consultant at the hospital is supposed to be really good. DH has agreed to go private if he is working abroad a lot again so we don't miss key appointments, so we always have that option if we need. [phew emoticon] I am so relieved and happy . We are finally moving on this after 16 months or whatever. DH's second sperm test results looked slightly better than Test #1, but still very low "too low to make a natural conception likely" . GP also said that lifestyle changes were definitely in order.

tinkerbell2 · 02/04/2008 17:22

hi gg glad that it well well @ drs and tests results were abit better yah
good that you got next app so quick

JollyBear · 02/04/2008 17:25

That is great news GG! Sorry for not wishing you luck with the appointment , I've been selfishly caught in my own losing document nonsense/oil of ulay amusement. I'm so pleased the GP was more proactive and you have such a quick appointment with a good consultant!! It is also great that the GP suggested lifestyle changes as now DH won't think that all the talk of less stress and vitamins is a lot of codswallop. Slightly better also indicates that things can change!

ScaryHairy · 02/04/2008 17:56

Hi

Sad news from me, I'm afraid.
Unfortunately this little bean is ectopic, so that is me out of the TTC game for a few months on medical advice.

Good luck to the rest of you. I really hope that you all get your BFPs long before I make it back onto this thread.

xx

ps. I am thinking of becoming a cervix model. What do you all think?

JollyBear · 02/04/2008 18:20

Oh no scary what awful news . I'm so sorry, I thought you'd be OK . I really, really hope everything goes OK with treatment and everything, and that you will be back soon. >

I think you'll have competition as we're all interested in becoming cervix models!

Take care of yourself

tinkerbell2 · 02/04/2008 18:38

so sorry scary hug coming over

Madoldbird · 02/04/2008 18:40

scary oh no, what dreadful news. As JB said, i really hoped that things would be ok today. You sound remarkably ok, but please do look after yourself, and your DH as well. Do keep in touch with us on this thread, if you feel able, until you are ready to ttc again. You are very much in my thoughts.

GG am so pleased things went well with the appt today, and that you have an appt at the fertility unit so SOON! Fantastic. Hopefully now your DH has really taken on board the importance of nutrition etc now the GP has talked about it!! I am so excited for you - things are really beginning to happen.

Well i have been feeling a bit grotty today - i think i must have some sort of stomach bug. When i told DH earlier that i felt quite sick he said "ooh, you could be pregnant", and i said "no, it's a virus", but he insisted "you could be pregnant"! "No!" i replied "i have stomach cramps, the runs, and a fever. It's a VIRUS"!!!! Men.

coolkat · 02/04/2008 19:29

Scary

Really sorry to hear that. Look after yourself. Thinking of you.

Coolkat x

Bucky2008 · 02/04/2008 20:19

Scary Don't know what to say..... If you are still around please drop in again when you feel up to it. We will miss you.

Hi to everyone.

GG, that's fab, there is lots of hope now, I'm almost !...could you confirm the 15th, Bernie is confused!

Did a 30p Ebay paper stick test and was BFN this morning, but no sign of AF yet. I might have been wrong about ov dates though . Today is CD27. The latest AF has ever arrived is CD33. However, did not BD after CD18 so if I get a BFN on CD30 ..AF will be on her way. . I have no symptoms really not premenstrual symptoms either ....

mibbes · 02/04/2008 20:24

Scary I am so sorry that beany is an EP, I take it it had been dealt with as EP can be dangerous ? I guess it is lucky it didn't cause you any harm. Although onviously you must be devestated to lose your bean . When do you think you can ttc again, how frustrating {{{huge hugs}}} xx

Ei {{{big hugs hun}}} BFN is just so rubbish esp as it has hit you hard this time

Oh GG am delighted to hear that things are moving quickly for you and that lifestyle changes have been sanctioned by GP, maybe DH will be more keen to try your ideas. Sounds like he is being far more receptive to ttc now

MOB I hope DH is right and you are wrong

mibbes · 02/04/2008 20:26

Ooohh Bucky I sincerely hope you have tested too early. I am still very encouraged by your post-ov headaches like mine... fingers crossed xx

Bucky2008 · 02/04/2008 20:37

I only had those couple of headaches though Mibbes no more since?

Bucky2008 · 02/04/2008 20:37

How is your miblet doing anyway? Any symptoms yet...has it sunk in?

luckyt · 02/04/2008 20:41

Scary,

So sorry to hear that disappointing news. Hope that you are able to get back to TTC soon and taht everything is not too horrid for you.

Nice thoughts and wishes to you

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 02/04/2008 21:57

mibbes · 02/04/2008 22:05

Bucky I only had 2 headaches earlier on post-ov then nothing since. Hardly anything symtpom-wise, the odd cramp that just makes me worry and tiny booby tingles once in a while, very disappointing ! Still not convinced it is real.. need my belly to grow, but I'm workikng on that !

tinkerbell2 · 03/04/2008 08:23

morning ladies
cd13 for me

PicknMix · 03/04/2008 09:08

Scary so sorry to hear your news. I hope you're bearing up ok - as Bucky said, we'll miss you, do pop back in again when you feel ready to. Wishing you the best of luck and massive hugs to you and Mr Scary.

How are you feeling this morning Ei? Sorry to hear you are feeling so down and about the bfn (totally understand why though).

Bucky - am assuming that headaches are a symptom because I have just finished 3 days worth of headache and can only assume its because I am pregnant. Too confident? Me? Nah!!!! (obviously my headaches have nothing whatsoever to do with my inability to wear my glasses all the time and to go to bed at a reasonable hour! )

Thats fab news about the referral GG - fab fab news. And not so far away either! I've heard of some people having to wait months so you must be chuffed that its moving forward.

Hi to Tink, Mibbes (how you doing lady??), MOB (hope you're feeling a little better this morning?) and JB (don't forget to ctrl + 's' all day long today!!!) and Beanie.

Am working from home today - just have to work up a bit of motivation!
