oh no JB how is that possible, your chart is amazing... If you do have the longest LP in the whole world then maybe hormones won't be detected until you are late, which you aren't yet. You know the drill, it is not over until the red lady sings ....

and that goes for you too Scary

Well on 8dpo and was planning to start madly symptom spotting before pre-AF spotting arrives (due at the weekend) but had a 'just for fun' BD this morning and (TMI alert !!) when the swimmers came out they were all pink so looks like there is some pre-AF blood already . This just gets worse, previously pre-AF spotting has started at 10/11 dpo so whatever the problem is would appear to getting worse . I didn't even have a chance to make up mad symptoms grrrr..

mibbes · 19/03/2008 10:23

Morning MOET good news about finding the pesky EWCM - grab DH and get busy my lady ! Good news too that body is resetting itself - you'll be good as new in no time - with a teeny weeny MOET-bean

MadOldEasterTurkey · 19/03/2008 10:28

Morning Mibbes could it possibly be implantation? Not wanting to get your hopes up and all that, and i understand your concern, but you never know? (And no symptoms is good..) However, it's a good thing you are now having investigations, as if there is a problem with your LP, then i'm sure there is lots to be done to sort it. And believe me, i'm not making light of what i know is a worrying problem for you, but when you said the swimmers came out all pink, i did have a mental vision of all these men is speedos running out of the sea in their swimming hats & goggles, covered in pink goo. (Sorry, i'm just warped)

beaniesteve · 19/03/2008 10:40

Blimey - I am having massive pains in my stomach Reall quite bad.

tegan · 19/03/2008 10:42

beanie am so glad you are still AF-free.... getting exciting now !

beaniesteve · 19/03/2008 10:57

Congratualtions Tegan Wooo hoooo

How long were you trying for?

I feel really sick. I never get sick with my period yet it's due tomorrow and so I can only assume it's that. I ate a few dried Apricots last night but surely that shouldn't give me the runs!

hattyyellow · 19/03/2008 10:59

Tegan congrats!

JB so sorry about the BFN..sounds like you know your stuff this month with the temping etc but fingers crossed you've made a fundamental error somewhere?

Fingers crossed for everyone else on hold hoping for BFP's!

madold lol at the swimmers analogy!

GryffinGirl · 19/03/2008 11:08

hello to MOET - love the new name (like the champagne ). You have made me laugh today!!

Congratulations to tegan - that is brilliant news It was about time for a BFP!!!

jolly - you hang in there girl. It is not over yet. I am so sorry about the BFN . Your BFP day will come soon m'dear and we'll all be here celebrating with you

mibbes - don't give up hope yet, although I know what you mean about pink swimmers a day or too before AF. I get that too sometimes. Fingers crossed for you.

I am CD20 today. WE BD-ed at the right time and I had loads of EWCM, but with DH's poor sperm test results, I can't keep symptom spotting and deluding myself each month that it is going to be a BFP. I can hope but feel a bi silly and symptom spotting for a very unlikely BFP, but I'll hang around here and join in the chats if you ladies will have me?

tegan · 19/03/2008 11:28

twinklingfairy · 19/03/2008 11:45

Yeah tegan after 18 months I think you deserve it
I have absolutely no symptoms today either. How many weeks pregnant does that make you?

Oh so sorry scary and jollybear I was coming in here to hear your good news.

JollyBear · 19/03/2008 12:34

tegan That is great news, congrats. You don't need to worry about the test results now! I'm really pleased for you.

mibbes I hope that spotting isn't starting early . It might just be your cervix being a bit low after ov and being prodded (I can't think of a better word, I was going to say banged ) during bd'ing.

hatty Nice to see you back. Did you have a nice birthday? Are you off to the Drs next week?

GG There you are! I missed you. You never know, it could be your month, there were some lovely stories on your thread. Are DHs results back yet? How is he feeling now?

MOET You are still in with a chance this month then! That's good news and you have a long weekend to get some bd'ing in.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts ladies. I know it hasn't been that long - 4 cycles over nearly 6 months but I just feel really disappointed and upset today. I know some of you have been trying for ages and I hope I don't sound insensitive. My cycles have been crap and then my scan result was fine, I'd finally ov. bd'ed lots and it just hasn't happened - how come it is so easy for some people?! I've started spotting now too, just to confirm it! I'm going to try and pull myself together and think positive. I'll start by ordering a copy of taking charge of your fertility .

JollyBear · 19/03/2008 12:44

There are lots of fertility books to choose from . Anyone own one and can recommend which one I should get? Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler? Zita West's Guide to getting pregnant? The baby on the front of the latter puts me off a bit mind .

mibbes · 19/03/2008 13:06

JoolyBear first of all {{{{big hugs}}}} poor you feeling so down . However, taking positive action like buying helpful books is an excellent idea. Each time I get AF (once I've stopped feeling low) I try to do something positive to make me feel like I am getting closer to the end result. I have both TCOYF and Zita West's book - both are very good. TCOYF is just about Fertility Awareness method which is purely based on CM, temps and cervix position. It is a mighty book and very detailed (not all of it relevant) but way useful in understanding types of CM and temp patterns. Zita West is more of an all-round guide. I found it helpful to determine which vits to take and what foods to eat when (although am crap at diets of any type so just stick to overall healthy food as far as I can). It also has loads of info about fertility problems and their symtpoms (which is probably why I have self-diagnosed a few times !!) and what can be done about them - really useful. If I were you I'd get both . I've never heard of the 3rd one you mention. My Zita West has a pic of a couple holding hands on the front (very misleading, I tried that for years and never got PG !!)
Hope that helps hun xx

mibbes · 19/03/2008 13:18

Oh and JB I think you may be right about DP hitting something as no more blood. This happened earlier this cycle too when cervix would've been low. I didn't feel the 'hit' this time though. Yet again DP was delighted with himself when I told him he'd made me bleed Men are so strange !

JollyBear · 19/03/2008 13:33

Thanks mibbes, I've ordered the Zita West one with the couple on the front so I'll see how I get on with that.

Glad the spotting has ceased! I find it depends on the postion I don't bleed but as you say, do sometimes feel a thud! Men think it is a reflection on their generous manhood!

I asked the Dr about my cervix once and he had a look and said it was maybe a bit low and thought it might be due to having had such invasive abdominal surgery, and things might have slipped . I'm not sure that is even possible though! I never thought to ask if it could affect ttc .

tinkerbell2 · 19/03/2008 13:38

hi jb that is a great bk i have it

ShakeysGirl · 19/03/2008 13:46

Congratulations Tegan :-) af should have been due today but having irregular cycles you never know with me, all symptoms have disappeared tho i feel totally well and normal. Did a hpt this morning and bfn :-( so i have no idea what that half hour of bleeding was last week! Just want af to hurry up now so the wondering is over. With regards to dp, the doctor never did a sperm test as she felt it was pointless given his medical history! Its so frustrating.

chilledmama · 19/03/2008 14:20

So sorry JB, you must be so disappointed. Excuse for lots more BDing though!!
Tegan - CONGRATS

Did CB digital this morning and got BFN. At the latest, AF is due Sunday so I have bought FR to try and get something more sensitive tomorrow morning. If still BFN tomorrow then it seems unlikey.

GryffinGirl · 19/03/2008 15:51

Jollybear - I'm still here . DH hasn't got his second lot of results yet. He was supposed to phone today (GP surgery only gives out test results between 12 noon and 1pm and if you are three seconds late they won't speak to you).

I can't get hold of DH so don't know, but suspect that we'll have to wait another day or two. He has made a follow up appointment with the GP for next week on the assumption the results will be back by then. If they are so-so, it's referral time.

Anyway, must dash (hello everyone else ) I have a conf call thingy now, but I was out for lunch and now I absolutely reek of garlic, so I hope no one sits close to me because I'd floor a vampire at 5- paces

beaniesteve · 19/03/2008 16:09

Gah! this is so annoying. Period due tomorrow if it's on time like last month. Keep going back to the loo to check and then thinking 'ooh maybe, just maybe' even though I am regular as clockwork, usually get it in the morning and fully expect it to be there when I wake up tomorrow. If it's not then I'll be doing the same all day tomorrow.

Such a pain that I am almost wishing it would come early - though really I would hate that as it would mean my cycle is getting shorter.

Gah gah gah!

Roll on tomorrow.

digitalgirl · 19/03/2008 17:36

JB I've got both TCOYF and the Zita West book. TBH I found TCOYF much more informative about cycles and all things gynae than Zita West. West goes on a lot about eliminating stress, eating the right food, and ignoring bbt charts. She deals with both sides of the couple, but I wasn't interested in the male side of things because I was sure my long cycles were what held us up (even though 4 cycles in 5 months wasn't at all long in the end). I would always recommend TCOYF over West.

Congrats to Tegan today! Been lurking for BFPs on this thread.

tegan · 19/03/2008 19:26

Twink I think i am about 4 weeks.

last period on 20th feb. I think that makes me due around Nov 21st
