Also now PMSL...how important an 'e' can be!

Fingers crossed this will be DC2. Already have a gorgeous boy (17mon) and feel very lucky that he is so good. DH away at moment but we managed to sneak in a rondezvous at hopefully the right time of the month. Still giggling about soup bowls attacking me!

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 17/03/2008 21:20

i have a DD who is 2.2yo and is a little madam at times but she is amazing ooooh i cant wait for another hopefully you wont have too long a wait on your hands

chilledmama · 17/03/2008 21:24

In preparation I bought tests but stupidly thought I would be able to contain myself (you'd think I knew myself better) so bought cheapy ones that test 25 miu. Now really regretting that and know that tomorrow I will go out before I go to work and buy the CB digital one so that I don't have to squint for an invisable line!!!!!

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 17/03/2008 21:28

i dont bother with the cheapy ones anymore as i always think they are lying to me and end up buying a more expensive one anyway are you due to test around now or are you a serial tester like quite a few of us on here?? (me included!! i have been known to test after AF has been and gone)
xx ei xx

chilledmama · 17/03/2008 21:36

well I hadn't seen DH for 3 1/2 months so that would be pushing it even for a serial tester!!

Hopefully i am about 11 dpo but variable cycle means hard to tell. Fingers crossed I will know by end of week (one way or the other).

Bizarre though how we imagine all the symptoms...I stopped BFing DS a couple of months ago (in order to get some regularity to my ov) but sometimes wish I hadn't as they can usually tell your Up the duff long before any test!!!!!!!!

How long have you been trying ttc??

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 17/03/2008 21:40

im on my 5th cycle now but it took 10 cycles to get DD so im only halfway yet lol
is your DH in the army?? (or similar) mine is an electrician and works away sometimes i couldnt handle it if he was away for 3 month stretches its never usually more than a few days at most

chilledmama · 17/03/2008 21:49

Navy.

You just get used to it although I have to admit I had no idea how difficult it was going to be..being a single working mum in effect. Much respect now for all those parents that do it!

Last time it took us 9 months but to be fair we weren't really doing it properly iykwim .
It's not all about having sex...it helps...but obviously the timing is more important. I have always had problems with my cycle so we had real trouble predicting ov. I knew when I was but not I would be so when I knew what dates I was going to be seeing DH I decided to take the matter in to my own hands and manipulated things so that I would be ov some time during our week long holiday...will find out soon if I counted properly!!!

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 17/03/2008 22:05

do you temp or use OPKs at all?? i started temping this month and im not sure what to make of it yet

ShakeysGirl · 17/03/2008 22:09

I gave in a bought a test this afternoon, it was negative. It was a wilkos cheapy that said it measured at 25ml or something, is that sensitive or not? Am due on wednesday but don't feel at all pregnant so am not going to get my hopes up. Any one know which shop bought tests are best/most sensitive? I can't buy from the internet as i don't have paypal xx

chilledmama · 17/03/2008 22:14

Neither...when I ov I can tell from the change to my discharge (pleasant...just think about the bowls again...that's nicer].
I knew roughly how long my cycle was (27-32 days currently) and knew when I was going out to visit, spoke to nurse and got her to give me a month of microginon30. I worked back the dates and took the pill to induce a bleed then counted requisite number of days in for rough ov time/holiday.
I know I ov while we were together but sometimes that's still not enough! Fingers crossed that I've been a smarty pants!

digitalgirl · 17/03/2008 23:12

HI ladies,
Scan went well today. Digibean was having a little swim on it's belly. DH said it takes after me, likes to lie on it's front.
Measured 12+6, so due 23rd September. So it was a New Year's Day conception.
Interesting as FF calculated that I ov'ed on Jan 3rd. So there you go ladies, FF can be out by a few days.
DG x

twinklingfairy · 17/03/2008 23:37

Oh lovely DG so pleased!
Isn't it fab, seeing your digibean up on the screen? My DH cried! But then, bless him, he is a big soft soul. He cried at BFP too
My DD bean gave me a wave. She posed for the camera in both scans too and she really does love that camera now.
Everytime she sees my phone (I use it as my camera) she says 'Cheeeese'

ScaryHairy · 18/03/2008 06:46

ARG, 2 tests using FMU this morning.

Clearblue: another sort of vague line
FR: BFN.

Hum. So I am none the wiser. A call to CB is clearly in order. I suspect they are churning out dodgy tests. AF is due tomorrow at the very outside of the possible interpretations of my chart, so I guess that will be my answer. I am going to go see the Dr as well - surely cramps since last Thurs cannot be normal? An I had an em c.s. when I had DD so I should probably get my uterus checked out anyway...

Hope all of you are well and that there are some proper BFPs this morning.

mibbes · 18/03/2008 08:01

SH sorry CB tests are messing with you , hope you get a conclusive answer soon, being in limbo is rubbish xx

ScaryHairy · 18/03/2008 08:01

My CB tests looked like this:

www.fertilityfriend.com/tg/galleryShowEntry.php?entryId=2309&returnUrl=%2Ftg%2FgalleryBrowse.php%3Fm ode%3Dsearch

So beware if you get one. I don't think I am pg, I think there is something wrong with Cb.

fairydustcomingover · 18/03/2008 08:19

beaniesteve · 18/03/2008 08:41

Meh! Come on then Period, I know you're just waiting....

JollyBear · 18/03/2008 08:56

Good morning all,

SH How at those tests. Have you got a different brand to use tomorrow? I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a strategy by Clearblue to sell more digital tests. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

P&M It is perfectly understandable to have a wobble when you hear of a new baby in the family Hope you feel a bit brighter today. A house rabbit sounds great by the way! Not sure I could have one with the cats

GG Hello, are you there? Hope you are OK.

MOB Any ov news from you? Hope the bleeding stopped. I had some bleeding my last cycle for no reason at all, it wasn't close to ov or anything so it can just happen.

mibbes Practically a BFP in the bag now you've been ei'ed! How are those temps? Thanks for crossing everything for me!

Welcome chilledmama! The waiting is awful isn't it? Good luck.

DG Soooo happy for you ! Thanks for letting us know. Keep us posted how you are getting on.

shakey Sorry about BFN. I'm not really sure about sensitivity of tests I'm afraid. Fingers crossed for you.

ei How are you finding temping?

pink/FDCO/tinker I can't keep up! How are you feeling?

Well I had to get up at stupid o'clock (5am!) to take DH to the station so that has obviously messed my temp up! It was 36.84 at 5am though and I don't usually test till 6.45 so I think that is still a very high temp. I've recorded it on my chart as 36.96! I could easily be kidding myself mind

Hello to everyone else.

JollyBear · 18/03/2008 08:59

Oooops cross posted beanie Sorry I forgot to ask how you were . Do forgive me!

She might not be waiting to get you! Do you feel pre-afy? Is she due today?

ScaryHairy · 18/03/2008 09:38

Quick sneaky post from work...

CB have confirmed that a thin line like that is a faulty test.

They need the batch numbers to send a new test but I have thrown the boxes away (no surprise there, I am cross).

So I guess it is a BFN from me and tomorrow is the very latest date possible AF is due so if my temp if down I will know.

The wierd thing is these very strong cramps and backache I have been getting since last week. I think I need to see a Dr.

Hiya jollybear

Due on Thursday if I stick to the last few months of a 24 day cycle - if it comes earlier I will be right P*ed off that my cycle is getting shorter

Basically I rarely get any Period pains/symptoms apart from being hyper the week before and then flashes of anger when I am on it. This morning someone in the car behind me beeped me - really they were just letting me know the traffic was moving but my response was really aggressive and horrible. my BF was in the car and he looked completely shocked. Then I started crying! So he said 'is your period due then'

I have back ache.

I have just taken my vitamins and EPO seeing as I am pretty sure I am going to get my period soon so I may as well do what I can to regulate my moods.

Would be very surprised if period doesn't come. Silly that I was having all the 'signs' last week, and such an overwhelming sense of wellbeing

boobs hurt now too.

scaryhairy hope you're ok. Damn faulty tests.

mibbes · 18/03/2008 10:31

Scary are CB going to send you replacements ? I have a few in the drawer (in preparation) but won't be using them as that is so cruel to give you a false positive

Jollybear OMG I am beside myself ! A way high temp so early is seriously good news when you testing ? I'm not sure I can take the suspense much longer

beanie I am quietly hopeful for you mi lady

Anyway now that I'm on the 2ww and at 7dpo I reckon it is time for some serious symtpom spotting. Sadly nothing to report though, I need to get my @ss back onto that mad 2ww website and conjure up a few beauties. I had a queasy feeling last night but had just scoffed a toffee sponge drowned in cream !!! and have peed at least twice so have a few to go to match that woman on the website who'd pee'd about 70 times !!!!
