There's always going to be something that you need to compromise on - and if you know the area then at least you know just how busy the road is. The house we've just moved into is in a tiny little hamlet (only about 10 houses) but the road is used as a cut through so at beginning and end of school days its a bit busy - the ducks in the pond opposite don't seem to mind though!!

Hope you can set up a viewing for tomorrow though - as you say, its the house you're most interested in, once you're inside it doesn't matter so much that its on a road!

Must go to bed now as DH is wondering where I've got to!!!

Sleep well xx

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 05/03/2008 23:58

thanks you are sooo on my page PnM i will definitely be booking a viewing night xx

morning ladies

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 09:50

MrsEi House looks lovely but those white carpets would last about 2 secs in my house. Especially with my TWO dogs . I'm getting another one on Saturday . That said if I was dogless I concur that it would be a fab house! Good luck hope it works out and you look back and are glad you didn't go for the one that has fallen through.

Scary and PicknMix how fabulous that you are back (well in the 'great to see you' kind of way, not the 'still ttc' kind of way of course!)

CD24 of a 26-32 day cycle here and just slightly sensitive (.)(.)s to report. Nothing new. Pretty sure I am going to be moving swiftly on to Cycle 11 (sad).

DP didn't make the appointment AGAIN, although to his credit he did ring up this time but they have very specific slots when he can drop off the sample. They have to be expecting it apparently. I feel bad for him, he will have two dogs to look after while I go away on holiday without him . But he wanted to get her this weekend....

Oh and welcome to Ratbunny.

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 09:52

New dog

awww, I love her already. Hope Finn does though .

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 09:53

You have to press the 'details' tab to see her. Otherwise you just get a map.

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 11:14

Hi bucky2008
good luck
dog looks lovely
i am on cd 40 no af

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 11:18

Morning all,

ei How awful if your house sale is going to fall through. It is soooo stressful moving house I'd never move again if possible! That new house is lovely though, get it viewed!

Hello TF how are you?

SH Nice to see you. How are you finding the acupuncture? Is it as lovely as I'm led to believe?

ratbunny Welcome to the thread . Whether to test early or not is an age old problem! It can be expensive and addictive but it is soooo hard to wait. Good luck.

P&M Thanks my temp is even higher today . Hope you are wrong and you didn't miss the egg.

Hattyyellow How's the low GI diet going? Any tips to share?

bucky How VERY exciting. She's gorgeous!! I'm very jealous, I'd love a dog. Are you off on a girls holiday too?

Hello GG and MOB hope everything is OK.

Hello to everyone else.

GryffinGirl · 06/03/2008 12:02

good monring ladies ! I am not sure why I am feeling so chirpy this morning. I think I had what you might describe as a "career limiting experience" last night. Basically, I was a tad too honest to my boss last night and told him a few home truths after too many glasses of wine . So have a pounding headache and cringe when I think what I said. I haven't even had the courage to go to the coffee machine this morning.

DH went and gave his second sample this morning and was disappointed to find that the p*rn movies weren't available on the NHS this time (TV broken), "I had to make do with two copies of Razzle instead" he whinged

Bucky - fingers crossed AF stays away and you will stick at cycle 11. I think I am on cycle 15 or somehting now - I have sort of given up counting. That's brilliant news about you getting a new dog. You are solucky to have the outside space to have them. I am very jealous. Are you still feeling like Dolly Parton? I can really sympathise with men and their reluctance to make appointments. You had to listen to me whinge about DH not making appointments - it is very frustrating . Have you looked at the thread that I started, 'cause posters on there mentioned about not doing sperm tests at the GP - maybe have a look

Ei - oh no, sorry to hear about the house, but also the link you posted looked absolutely lovely. I am soooooo . We live in a small flat 'cause it is so expensive round us. It is so pristine looking in the photos. I'd have tomato soup, coffee and red wine stains all over that carpet within 5 minutes, I am so messy!

hello libralady - so excited for you at 23 weeks - do you have a neat little bump now and a 20w scan picture of LittleLibra. It doesn't seem 5 minutes since you are symptom spotting on the 2WW thread with us.

welcome to ratbunny - you'll be right at home here.

twinkling - didn't realise you were in Scotland too. I think mibbes is in Stirling and I am from Glasgow, but live in London now. It's impossible to explaint o people how different the house buying system is north of the border. Fingers crossed he drops the price.

hello picknmix - nice to have you back with us

MOB are you about today ??

big hello to hatty scary jolly - what news with you guys? sorry to anyone missed

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 06/03/2008 13:44

About turn . New dog not coming now. Well not straight away anyway. DP has work away on Monday and realistically we can't leave too dogs who are strangers to each other alone unsupervised for a whole day a day after they meet . Have written to the man and asked if I can contact him again later in the month, but he may be peed off with me messing him around now.

GG DPs test is at the hospital, he just has to make an appointment to bring the sample in to the histology (I think?) lab. He has to do the deed and then speed over to the hospital with the sample for his appointed slot.

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 13:56

and...am as dogwalker informed me that I should 'sort out' the dog I have before I get another one . My dog is lovely and well mannered and trained. Its not my fault he doesn't like her....he hid in his kennel for 10 mins and wouldn't come out when she arrived. Old dog walker got sacked by the company and now we have substitute dog walker...

Um sorry, why am I telling you all this on a ttc thread .

Sorry for being totally off topic .

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 13:58

Great to hear you are going to view the house ei. When are you due AF? You are CD27 are you not? Fingers crossed for you, new house, new baby

GG LOL at your frank drunken talk with your boss! Hopefully he will have been in a similar state and will have forgotten all about it! Glad the second sample is in although it is annoying to have to wait for those results and not just be referred now. How is your DH feeling? Hope he is beginning to open up to you a bit more.

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 14:03

Cross posted there bucky. How ! The dog walker has no right to talk to you like that, how rude. Are there no other agencies you can use? I hope the man doesn't mind too much especially as the circumstances are out of your control.

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 06/03/2008 14:07

im quite excited about it TBH JB ye im due AF on sat/sun/mon so ill be testing sat mornin hopefully
bucky sorry to hear about the setback with the dog hopefully he will be prepared to wait a bit for you and i would totally sack that dogwalker ring the agency and ask for a replacement!! some people have got a cheek!!

ok - I am getting irritated now. My work mate keeps saying 'I hope you get pregnant in August FFS I don't care, I will carry a baby through the summer, I really do not care!

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:00

OMG . Just walked to the printer at work, got waylaid talking to someone, came back to my desk, report I had been working on was gone and mumsnet was still on my screen ....I am dying of embarrassment. I do not have any dc, so my boss is probably mightily suspicious. Luckily there was nothing about EWCM or anything, just the homepage. There was something about dogs on there so I thought maybe if he bothered to read it, he may think that's why I was looking at it. He knows I am obsessed with dogs...

GryffinGirl · 06/03/2008 16:06

Jolly - unfortunately, my boss was sober . He remembers alright and is now gunning for me. Eek! He failed to get an important promotion (obvious to everyone except him that he wasn't going to get it). He was rabbiting on about what a hot shot he was. I got fed up and said "Och shut up, you're not that bl**dy great - you didn't even get promoted". I also told him his office nickname is El Nino because he rushes in like a tornado, causes chaos and then disappears. he was completely unamused

Bucky - what is your new dog called? bloody cheek that dog-walker saying such a rude thing. You are her client

ahh ha, I get it now, your DP has to do it in the house and rush the test round to the hospital.

ei it sounds really promising for you this month

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 16:39

Oooh GG I'm cringing for you!

Did your boss definately see your screen bucky?! He'll probably put it down to dog obsession as you say!!

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:51

JB I am sure he would have looked, he is a right stickybeak...not an El nino more of a 'pinocchio' .

GG you crack me up, wine is a truth serum. I know...I once informed announced at a works do that the head of property was probably shagging his secretary . I said it in a drunken jest, but the next day at work I was outside having a stress cigarette (back when I smoked) and somebody told me that they had heard that the Head of Property was shagging his secretary ...and I knew it was me that had started the rumour . Actually I think I had just drunkenly pointed at a blonde girl who he had been flirting with, but she happened to be standing next to his secretary at the time.

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:53

GG Dog would be called Molly...she had a cheesy name at the moment .

Oh dear, how off topic am I today. Maybe I should throw in something about my (.)(.)s randomly to make my posts relevant ....Nothing new to report however, they are just the same as they were a few minutes ago.

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 17:21

hi ei no f cd40 testing monday
hibucky how embarrassing at least it had about dogs

GryffinGirl · 06/03/2008 17:24

jolly - I'm reeeaaally cringing myself . i thought at the time I was being hilariously funny telling him that (he famously has no sense of humour). Hell, I blame the pressure of TTC and DH's results for being a little lubricated

Bucky - really hope your boss assumes you were on MN for the dog bits. It's not quite the same but I printed out an article on male infertility last night, but forgot and left it on the shared printer. It was found and was mortally embarrased that they may think it's mine. I don;t think anyone thought it was mine, but my not-very-amused boss is one of only two men who shares that printer (the other being 65), so I really hope he doesn't think it is me having another "joke" at his expense .
