hunny welcome and loads of luck !
I find temping has taken the guesswork out of ttc as I know exactly when I ov and how long LP is so can tell when the signs are promising, like now after 14 high temps ! Am testing tomorrow... yikes !
It is up to you whether knowing when you ov will make you frustrated if you miss the egg or enable you not to obsess about symtpoms if you know you missed it iyswim. I personally love it as I feel more in control, but it is not for everyone. If you start temping now you will get some practise in and we can help interpret temps - sign up for fertilityfriend, very easy

xxhunnyxx · 25/03/2008 19:01

Thanks mibbles I think you've just sold it to me lol.
Think I'll pop down to Boots this evening and get myself a thermometer. DP may think that I have now lost the plot but ah well. I wish I could be as laid back about it as he is!
Am I right in thinking that your temp dips just before AF turns up? And that it can raise if you're PG?

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 25/03/2008 19:21

mibbes just looked at your chart (dunno y i missed it before TBH) and it looks like a very good positive chart to me fingers crossed for tomorrow

Blimey this thread is busy!!
Its a little boring for me atm, can't DO anything!!
Am reading with interest tho...

EiWishFor3MoreEasterEggs · 25/03/2008 20:05

fruitloopwants79eastereggs · 25/03/2008 20:15

Evenin all

Ooh Mibbes how exciting! Will you test first thing? cos I'll be looking out for your post!

Oh Spooky your time will come round soon enough

xxhunnyxx Go get yourself a BBT, I insist!

I've got my last tablet to take in the morning. I wonder how long it will take for AF to arrive . She's a lazy cow, I think she's taking the scenic route I was told it could take anything up to 10 days after the course for it to arrive.

xxhunnyxx · 25/03/2008 21:04

Been and got myself a BBT
I really don't know what is happening to me, I'm now looking forward to taking my temp in the morning i can't decide if I've actually lost the plot and totally lost in BabyLand or if I'm just sad and have no life! Either way I'll be happy once I get my BFP!

Emmsy1 · 26/03/2008 06:20

mibbes whats the news?????
xxhunnyxx its ok to be a 'saddo' when your desperate for a baby, most of us on here have become obsessed with temping, peeing on sticks etc.. Whats wrong with becomming obsessed when the desire for a newborn is so strong. Don't worry about it, I think its the only way forward to achieve what you want, you will still have to look out for EWCM and do a few OPK's until you get to know your body a little better, enjoy your new found hobby and lets hope you get your BFP soon! mibbles [grin} WAAAAHHOOOOOO!!! So pleased for yoi!!
xxhunnyxx When you've taken your temp, let us know and we can add it to the list.

Morning all. So my temp rose today but FF hasn't given me OV lines. My 2 high temps on 14th and 16th March (CDs 9&11) were after drinking the night before. Do you think I have OV and FF hasn't picked it up.
I'm a bit today...going for blood soon and have 1,000 words to write...BUT, my friend popped in last night (at tea time) with her little one and she texted this morning to say he's developed chickenpox overnight...me and DD haven't had it.

JollyBear · 26/03/2008 09:02

mibbes ! I'm so so happy for you! My FF HCB has graduated . You need to change the list!!!! Have you calmed down yet?!

Thanks ladies !
I have tentatively graduated but will still temp until have had my 18 days of high temps so that I am TCOYF PG !
Sparkly sorry you are hun, bloods will be fine and hopefully help you understand what is going on. Have had another look at your chart. Maybe it is worth setting the 2 booze-temps to 'discard' so that FF knows not to take heed of them. Your temp seems to be slowly rising which may mean you have ov'd, TCOYF says that some ladies have a 'slow rise' shift as opposed to a sudden jump... Look at this from FF temp patterns
hunny how did you get on ? IKWYM about temping and being excited about it - I have been temping every morning for months now and the novelty still hasn't totally worn off !
FL any sign of TEW ?
JB am still in shock, it doesn't feel real, I don't feel remotely PG. DP was very wary about getting too excited. When I showed him the CB he didn't understand and asked "well what does it mean" so I told him and he laughed in disbelief and told me I'd need to do another one to be sure, at which point I produced the 2nd one I'd done from my pocket ! The 2nd one was a LLoyds own brand and had a far lighter line so he said we shouldn't get too excited until I test again tomorrow. I think he is just protecting me in case it doesn't work out. he said that is it is true then great we'll have a baby but if we don't then it will be fine too.

Congratulations Mibbes Fantastic news! I know you probably haven't had time to work it out yet, but do you know when you're due? Are you going to squeeze onto the Due in November thread or start a Due in December one? It will take a while for the BFP to sink in
Sparkly Hope you avoid the chickenpox. I had it as an adult and it was horrible!
Hope everybody else is OK.

SparklyMummy · 26/03/2008 10:03

Mibbles I might take those temps out and see what happens.
Cricri Was it really, really horrible? Do you think you could have looked after a toddler at the same time (a toddler with chicken pox too)? I think i'm more worried about being pg and having it!

mibbes · 26/03/2008 10:17

OOh forgot to say that my mum emailed earlier to say my niece has chickenpox (I was with her 2 days ago) I have had chickenpox though so does that mean am ok ? My SIL is 16 weeks PG so I asked her if she'd be ok and she said as long as you are past 12 weeks and had it before it is safe .
Thanks cricri I think early Dec will be due date. DP's family has loads of Dec birthdays so March must be a fertile time for them ! OMG can't believe it ... a due date, there will be a baby for xmas... am going to take a while to get my head around this.

SparklyMummy · 26/03/2008 10:47

I have done some reading about chickenpox and it is only dangerous during pregnancy if you haven't had it (I haven't) so I think you'll be fine mibbles. I'm still so excited for you

mibbes · 26/03/2008 11:12

Thanks Sparkly I did a wee google too and I had a bad dose when I was little so should be fine . I hope you are ok, esp if you have a bean sprouting too . I'd looove you to get BFP this cycle too - crossing everything for you, even my legs as DP has done his bit !
Have you changed FF yet ? ma keen to see if it gives you lines... mind you may be a few days as you only get lines after 3 days of high temps.

SparklyMummy · 26/03/2008 11:27

Mibbles LOL no more BD needed for u!! I'd love to get a BFP this cycle too...I think my EDD would be 11th December (my sis bday) and with DD I was induced after 14 days so i'd be looking at an xmas day induction hehehe!! I took off the high temps and then added my temp from today as my temp for tomorrow (just to see what it would do - and then I changed it back). ...It gave me OV LINES!!! So..if my temp tomorrow is the same/higher than today then FF will tell me that I OV on Sat which is when I got my OPK+. Does this make sense? lol at my rambling...ramble, ramble

cricri · 26/03/2008 11:50

Sparkly Sorry, didn't mean to worry you with the chickenpox... It felt like a bad dose of flu at the time - high fever, aches, generally feeling awful. Not sure I'd have wanted to look after a toddler at the same time I just went home to my Mum! I was lucky because I didn't get too many spots, but other friends who have had chicken pox as adults had loads. I went to see my Dr and he gave me some tablets to stop it turning into shingles (much more dangerous). But fingers crossed you won't catch it! I was run down after my Finals at uni at the time and caught it from a child I taught trampolining to.
Mibbes It does take a while to get your head around it all. Over Easter I kept thinking next Easter there will be a baby in the house and it didn't seem real. Hadn't even thought about there being one before Xmas!

Emmsy1 · 26/03/2008 11:54

Mibbes I have found it hard holding back the tears reading your message about your BFP! It was only a couple of months ago when we both had that really crappy long cycle, then I got my BFP before you and felt really guilty. Well, no more!! told you it wouldn't be long, hope you go through loads of sickness and sore boobs in a few weeks time, Im thrilled to bits for you, lots of love and sticky baby dust especially for you! ***XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Sparkly I said a few posts ago that I though you may have 'O' on 22nd, just that I stupidly wrote CD22 by mistake, really hope that this is going to be your time for a BFP especially so that DH can have a well earned restXXXX

SparklyMummy · 26/03/2008 12:16

Cricri Don't worry, you didn't worry me just wanted to have some idea of how bad it was going to be.
Emmsy You genius! I am so hoping for a temp rise. Is it normal that FF hasn't given me my lines yet?
