@WholeZebra amazing!! Congratulations!! xx

KG96 · 15/07/2023 11:15

@WholeZebra omg!!! Congratulations 🥳 that’s fantastic news, and a strong line too! Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 15/07/2023 12:04

Not feeling great about our chances of success today. Not sure why. I just can't imagine it working out.

RunningOnHope · 15/07/2023 13:51

Sorry you're feeling down about it @TheBirdintheCave - there's a reason this part is known as the hardest! I think our brains try to fill in the gap, where it's impossible to know, they start trying to draw conclusions anyway.

My body has responded differently to the progesterone this time. Last transfer, I saw my boobs grow and start getting sore, before the transfer happened. So I knew it was the pessaries rather than pregnancy. This time the pessaries haven't had that effect, there's no difference in my boobs at all. Trying not to see it as a bad thing.

Remember I had no symptoms. Still don't xx

TheBirdintheCave · 15/07/2023 14:18

@RunningOnHope Funny you say that about the pessaries. I've been on Cyclogest before and got sore boobs with that but Lutigest just makes me tired and gives me INSANE dreams. Like totally ridiculous things every night 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 15/07/2023 15:55

Pretty sure it's all already over for me. I'm just not calm about this at all. I feel like I did when I knew my last baby had died, just this horrible sense of dread. I think it must have already stopped dividing 😔

I had really sore swollen boobs on my first round and that feeling went away when I miscarried, which was the only thing that made me think I had lost it, apart from that I had no symptoms at all.

This time my boobs are much less sore and I’m not noticing them getting any bigger either, but so far everything is going well.

I was convinced this round hadn’t worked because I was over analysing every symptom / non-symptom I was having. You just can’t always tell and it makes this whole process even harder.

Try not to worry, you can’t change the outcome so just try to keep a bit of positivity and hope ❤️🤞🏻

WholeZebra · 15/07/2023 16:22

Thanks all! Absolutely thrilled - going to ring the clinic first thing tomorrow and book our blood test 😁.

@TheBirdintheCave I felt the same throughout the TWW. One day I’d be adamant it hasn’t worked and then the next absolutely sure it had worked. Our brains play tricks on us and make us believe certain things. Try and stay positive, I know it’s really hard 😔

TheBirdintheCave · 15/07/2023 16:26

@WholeZebra If I hadn't just 'known' with the last two pregnancies it might be easier to shake this feeling but unfortunately it feels exactly the same :(

Triselly · 16/07/2023 09:06

@WholeZebra aww congratulations!! That is wonderful news! Made up for you xx

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 09:40

As a general rule, do we know how many days a trigger shot lasts in your system? I had 6,500miu on July 7th. 🤔

CR7 · 17/07/2023 09:42

@TheBirdintheCave 10-11 days as a minimum

CR7 · 17/07/2023 09:43

My dr said to wait until 14 days though to avoid a false result @TheBirdintheCave

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 09:46

@CR7 Hmm, ok :) I guess I'll just take it with a pinch of salt if I get a line tomorrow and see if it gets darker from there. Triggers are annoying (though necessary I know) 😅

CR7 · 17/07/2023 10:04

@TheBirdintheCave what day is tomorrow after your transfer

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 10:12

4dp5dpt 😂 I know it's stupidly early but I've had a BFP at 9dpo before but equally I don't mind seeing a negative early because I can say 'Oh well, there's still time.'

CR7 · 17/07/2023 10:13

There is no chance of seeing a real positive that early so please try not to. Nothing to gain at this stage. @TheBirdintheCave be strong c

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 10:30

@CR7 I think it just depends on the person really. I will go insane without testing. If I waited until the 25th (official test day) and it was negative I'd be just devastated. At least this way I build up to it and I have longer to accept it. I don't just want a yes or no, I like my maybes 😂

CR7 · 17/07/2023 10:58

@TheBirdintheCave that's fair enough

SarahShorty · 17/07/2023 16:06

"I like my maybes" This reminds me of when my DH says 'maybe baby' in the TWW 😆

TheBirdintheCave · 17/07/2023 17:42

@SarahShorty Awww maybe baby is cute :)

CR7 · 18/07/2023 06:31

@TheBirdintheCave let us know how you get on today x

TheBirdintheCave · 18/07/2023 07:09

Interestingly there's a faint line there which is as faint as the 'testing out the trigger' test I did on Saturday. Surely it can't still be the trigger if it's the same weight of line? 🧐

Only way to know is to test again tomorrow! 😂 I use Easy@Home cheapies by the way which detect HCG from 10miu.

RunningOnHope · 18/07/2023 07:20

@TheBirdintheCave Ahh lots of little maybes...! Hope it's the start of something!!

Well I'm not saying I'm hormonal but I cried three times last night over tiny things - very much not me. So I think the progesterone is kicking in!
