OP posts:
Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 11:17

think I might just leave the testing for a bit

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 11:21

Well if you can't be derranged whilst TTC'ing, when can you be?

'Tis all part of the fun

You wait till you're pregnant, that is when the complete and utter madness kicks in! Checking everything to see if it is 'safe', not being able to walk past a shop with out nipping in just to see if they do anything at all do to with babies, not being able to walk past shop with out checking out your reflection in the window to make sure your bump is indeed still there and clearly visable as a baby bump, rather than a big belly! Ah yes, the fun is to come

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 11:22

Spoil sport!!!

popcornprincess · 15/02/2008 11:45

Love you lot - your thread make me laugh out loud!!!

BeMyLilBaby · 15/02/2008 11:51

lol playing im the same! i cant wait... and am now making self paranoid that it'l take ages, before i found MN i hadnt ever really considered that but when you read about what some others go thru it fills you with dread! x

Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 11:57

BB - know exactly what you mean. I am aware that it might take me a little while tc because I am not that regular (although I have been better for the last 3 or 4 months). But MN has made me paranoid that instead of it maybe taking 6 months, which I was quite prepared for, that it could take years o rnot happen naturally at all !! I just have to keep telling myself that my Mum had no problems, pg first time for all 4 pgs (3 x dc, 1 x mc) but still the little voices in my head will not be calm.

BeMyLilBaby · 15/02/2008 12:07

i know what you mean lets all just maintain a positive mental attitude!!

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 12:41

Mmmm just had crumpets and real butter, loverrrrly Feel all full up and stuffed now though, shouldn't have had a third

Of course, when we all get to our months, DH/DP's will only have to look at us and we will wake up pregnant Nowt wrong with being positive. Deluding yourself is something completely different though....!

I feel like I should be doing something constructive, y'know house work or something, but this is my last day of peace before half term, so I can't be bothered!!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 12:45

Natalie you slacker here I am hard at work surfing the net

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 12:49

Did you mean "Here I am surfing the net hard at work"?

Well what I clean and tidy today will be very much wasted by this time tomorrow. Hey I could use that excuse all week and never have to get hoover out, or put pens, toys, pencils, toys, papers, toys, glue, toys, selotape, toys, scissors, toys, jigsaws, toys, games, toys, paints, or toys away again Good plan that

Starshinetiger · 15/02/2008 12:52

Hi All, can I join you please? We're planning to TTC April/May time - i.e. we'll see how we feel in April. I'm still hoping to slim back down to my previous pre-pregnancy size first, as I'll feel healthier - just 1st4lbs to go

We have DS1 17 months already. I work full-time though, so not sure I'll manage to keep up with you guys as this thread moves at a furious pace! Really hoping I can go to maximum 4 days per week after no. 2 (if we're lucky enough to be blessed), hence waiting a bit now to get more experience under my belt.

Conceived 2nd month (although first month was half-hearted) with DS1, so don't know what to expect this time, but I know that when April rolls round, I'll get impatient very quickly (esp. as friend's 1st DC is due April - cue much broodiness)!

LOL at all your Valentine's exploits. Has motivated me to get my nails done when at Hairdressers on Saturday, so can be ready for a romantic "practising session" on Sat eve with DH!

Starshinetiger · 15/02/2008 12:53
  • hope you won't hold that long post against me joining you? You'll see that despite full-time work, I still find time to surf!
Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 12:56

Hi Star, nothing ever is help against anyone here! Welcome, the only rule we have is no information is too much information. We are all nuts and chat far too much, I am am a full time worker as well, I have a rule, if someone goes out for a cigarette break then I have a quick surf, if they can have a break so can i!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 12:57

Just noticed that didn't make any sense at all . What I meant was nothing is ever held against anyone here.

BeMyLilBaby · 15/02/2008 12:57

welcome star!! you are very welcome, although it means we'l need to redo the list..but i'l leave that to nj! welcome anyway!

Starshinetiger · 15/02/2008 13:00

Thanks Ladies! Playing, that's the rule I have too and it is lunchtime currently!

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 13:00

Hi and welcome Star It seems there is going to be a bit of a baby boom starting in April/May! I will go and find the list now, I think it might well need a bit of updating anyway.

Exactly star, at lunch time (12-2 ) I dip in and out more.

Most people here are planning April/May by the sound of it. Its pretty much just me sticking out till September, although Cosmos is Dec, but she is being good at the moment and is not posting that much.

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 13:09

Jeez that list was last updated on Saturday and it was half way up the old thread, and we have had nearly 100 posts on here!

We really do talk too much!

Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 13:09

Looks like I wont have that many friends left waiting with me till sept

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 13:11

Yeah but we get closer and closer more new people will join in, and don't forget we aren't all going to get pregnant in April/May, sedly, so I am sure there will still be a few of us hanging around TTC'ing. Besides, no one is allowed to leave even if pregnant, or had the baby, ever, so we'll all still be here

NatalieJane · 15/02/2008 13:13

Buggery crap, just said 'yeah but' again, don't know what's going on with me, I never say it in RL, and it is one of my pet hates!

Playingthewaitinggame · 15/02/2008 13:16

I'll hold you to that Natalie . You know its so funny now at home, when I talk to DH and say Natalie said.., he has to ask which one, sister Natalie, work Nathalie or MN Natalie!! I obviously not only chat too much on MN, I must talk to him too much about it as well

Starshinetiger · 15/02/2008 13:18

I can see I'm going to have to be careful being on here at work, as you lot are getting me giggling constantly - actually just viewed myself from others perspective, sitting here on computer with noone near (it is Friday after all!), giggling away - might get carted off in a white jacket soon!
