OP posts:
Playingthewaitinggame · 21/02/2008 19:44

Hi guys, just sneaked back on as DH isn't home yet and I have put dinner on, so I am a free agent!!

Kay I cannot believe she actually though that! Was she asleep in biology or PSE?

Natalie, not surprised you are tired! Its ok, if one of us has to have a GOFing tonight, I'll do the honours (just as an obligation to this thread of course!)

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 19:47

I think she must have been.

I'll be ttc tonight

lardylumps · 21/02/2008 19:48

Kay my dd has a dummy. HV advised it as she had bad relux and used to get bad heartburn (apparently the sucking helps ease it somehow). She now is over the reflux and only has the dummy to go to bed with.

There was some research done that said that the sucking stops them going into a deep sleep thus can help reduce cot death but i am not sure about that.

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 19:53

Ds would never take a dummy. He would spit it out straight away. I'm not going to give any more of my lo dummies either.

lardylumps · 21/02/2008 19:57

I feel the same about new lo (unless she/he has the problems dd had). Hope i can get dd off hers by then.

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 19:59

My friend has a 3 year old dd and a 7 month old ds. Her ds doesnt have a dummy but her dd does. Her dd is always trying to put her dummy in his mouth. Its quite funny actually.

lardylumps · 21/02/2008 20:02

Thank you ladies for a lovely evening and for helping me get over my guilt early on. Hope you all enjoy your gofing tonight and i will speek to you all tomorrow.

Bye [waves]

Playingthewaitinggame · 21/02/2008 20:02

Go Kay Go. It will be great to have a BFP on this thread soon!!!!!

They are also recommending dummies now to avoid cot death

Playingthewaitinggame · 21/02/2008 20:03

bye LL

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 20:13

I will go for it.

My hv told me it increased the chances of cot death. Im so confused.

While I was pg I was told not to eat any nuts incase of passing on an allegy now they say that not eating nuts is more likely to pass on allegies!!!!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 21/02/2008 20:15

Oh, they just keep changing their minds the whole time, I say, just do what feels right for you!

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 20:19

It really upset me at first as the only thing I craved was Peanuts and I couldnt eat them and now they've said I should've eaten them. Also as I didn't eat them I'm a bit worried that ds will have a nut allegy!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 21/02/2008 20:27

Everything will be fine, you can't waste you life worrying!!

Right, DH has just walked in the door so I better put the spagetti on. Yum Yum spag bol, been cooking in for over an hour now so am hungry!!

Talk to you tomorrow. Bye.

Starshinetiger · 21/02/2008 20:56

You lot don't half make me giggle.
Kay at period as conception angle - it does seem so unbelievable in this day and age!
No fireworks here - believe me, I'd have been out watching them as any excuse to get out of doing the work I've brought my laptop home for! Now I'm on Mumsnet to avoid it instead!
Can't believe that we have to learn the "new rules" all over again for a 2nd pregnancy!
Ah well, think DH is coming upstairs, so I'd better get on with work, or he'll think I'm avoiding him, doing this instead.
Have a good evening all.

kayzisbroody · 21/02/2008 21:08

I know Star its just crazy!
I kinda feel like that once I have another I'll forget everything!!

NatalieJane · 21/02/2008 23:04

Hello Can not believe I have a secret code for whether we have shagged or not...

Anyway... am just nipping on because I forgot to say g'night earlier, how sad am I?!!

I forgot all the rules between DS1 and DS2, last time I just did what I wanted basically, I still ate prawns, still had the very odd glass of wine (well actually spritzers) I was just sensible about it. I.e prawns only if I was happy about the source, a spritzer 1-2 times a week, hasn't done DS2 any harm, as far as we know no alergies, and they don't run in our families.

Anyway I am about to take my folic acid, and turn in for the night, can't wait to get into bed, feel like I shouldn't have got out of it this morning! So, g'night everyone, sweet dreams xxx

kayzisbroody · 22/02/2008 05:36

Good Morning (though I'm not sure its morning or good really)
Dh slept in this morning, he woke up at 25 to 5 and his lift was at quarter to 5. Cue lots of rushing and banging. I cant get back to sleep at all, I've tried counting sheep and everything.

I think it may be my fault though, maybe I shouldn't have jumped on him last night

Diege · 22/02/2008 07:32

Morning! Ooh you are naughty Kay, making your dh late for work
Day off today, and it's pouring down, so am thinking about taking dd3 to the new playbarn that's opened in our village.
Must admit that I've forgotten to take my folic acid for the last few days!!! That alone has convinced me that I'm not going to get on with the 3-a day ones from Zita West, so might as well stick with the pregnacare!
Have the joys of High School Musical dvd to look forward to this afternoon to get me throught the hell joy of playbarn land. Speak later, xxx

kayzisbroody · 22/02/2008 07:40

I know I'm very naughty
I know what Nat all of you will say but I feel very sick today, I couldn't drink my coffee as the smell was awful, and I cant function without coffee!
Also I really want to eat dh's Chow Mein Pot Noodle!!

They aren't symptoms!!

Diege · 22/02/2008 07:54

ooh, the coffee thing is promising, though might be a bit early to expect nausea? . Anything else? (think, think!)Are you doing your temps etc? (I don't know anyone that does, but thought I'd ask)

kayzisbroody · 22/02/2008 07:57

No I'm not doing my temp. No nothing else. I'm tired but thats due to being up at half 4 this morning.

Heron23 · 22/02/2008 08:53

Good Morning everyone!

DH would like to try for a girl. so that we will have one of each.

I have the clearblue fertility monitor, so for greater chance of conceiving a girl, we have to do it a couple of days before ovulation, right?

Has this worked for anyone in the past?

kayzisbroody · 22/02/2008 08:57

Morning Heron!
We're trying that too. We have a ds and we'd like a dd.

Heron23 · 22/02/2008 09:03

Hi Kayz, fingers crossed then!

kayzisbroody · 22/02/2008 09:06

Yeah, Hopefully it works.
