TWW Buddies - testing end of march

Hello! Looking for TWW buddies. I’m 2dpo today. It’s been a long haul for us - trying since Jan 2022 and never had a BFP in all that time. We have an appointment with the assisted conception unit on the 29th and I’m due my period on the 27th. I’m usually a terrible POAS addict and start testing at 8DPO but I’m determined to wait until 14DPO this cycle. I’m hoping that I won’t be too disappointed if it’s another BFN seeing as we have the fertility appointment right after. Wishing everyone lots of luck and baby dust!

I’m on CD34 so I def didn’t ovulate when I thought I did (20 days ago). So I’m going off my second wave of EWCM which was 10 days ago.

@buckingmad I also had 2 waves if ewcm with just 1/2 to one day of dry in between, so I'm 10 dpo today, when really I should have been getting AF today or tomorrow...

As if the 2WW wasn't long enough as it is?! Our bodies go all crazy and decide on a late ovulation! Mine was because I had covid when I was meant to be ovulating, so there's a reason behind it, but it's still frustrating!

@Pitstop1986 i had a miscarriage last month so definitely blaming that. I had 34-40 day cycles before I fell pregnant with my daughter so this isn’t hugely unusual for me. But for the last 12 months they’d gone down to 30-34 days.

i didn’t track ovulation very well this month so it’s all guesswork really. I’ll go back to tracking properly once/if AF arrives.

Another negative today for me on the first response early test so I think I'm out this month! 🥺 got all the period type stomach pains and backache so I think it's just waiting until AF is due on Sunday!

Hi all,

Unfortunately it's another chemical... There's no change at all in 48 hours 💔 I'm trying really hard not to blame myself but I'm finding it really difficult not to. Hadn't had a drop of alcohol for a month and the day before my bfp I go and blow it... I know nothing was connected or anything but I can't imagine basically poisoning my body could have done any good... I'm so not having any more in this ttc journey so I don't feel this horrible guilt again.

Onto our fourth month of trying, and hopefully next time I get my bfp it'll be third time lucky and will finally be a sticky one 🤞🙏😞
I really hope no one else has been through this or similar, but if they have and have any success stories after 2 losses (find it a bit difficult calling these losses as they were sooo early... Last one was only at 5 weeks so feel a bit like a fraud saying it) but please do let me know! I'm starting to worry now and give up hope... x

Lastly things I've learnt these past 3 months that may or may not be of help to anyone...

  • Opk peaks - Having a "strong" peak opk means nothing... I had one that was basically only just as strong as the control line and got pregnant, I also had one much stronger than the control line and got pregnant.
  • How "strong" the line is on the first bfp you get doesn't nessecarily mean anything. I got a vvfl at 10dpo last month which progressed really well for a few days. This month I got a fairly obviously line at 10dpo which hasn't progressed at all.
  • Symptoms - they can be different everytime so don't rule yourself out if you don't feel the same as you did in a previous pregnancy.
  • BBT charting - mine have looked very different for both chemical pregnancies and looked different the first month trying too (when I didn't fall) so don't pin everything on that! The only pattern I have seen is that I personally have a dip in temperature the day before ovulation. Never had an implantation dip or anything.
  • Easy at home strips (opks) defo pick up a pregnancy! This has happened to me twice. Even this morning the test line is wayyy darker than the control line.
  • The pregnancy test easy at home strips are really slow at progressing, but both times for me have still shown some minor progression even when having a cp. This is the same if using opks as well (I know you shouldn't!) This has happened to me both months.

Can anyone see a faint line?! DH can't and refuses to get excited, but I've only ever had stark white negatives before today

My period was due on the 26th and and I tested positive yesterday on the 29th. I think it’s 15 dpo. My only concern is basal temp has been dropping slowly. I had a missed miscarriage in Nov so keeping my fingers crossed. What are your thoughts on the temp?

@Smileyface32 I told DH I'd get some today, as he didn't believe that there is a line on the test. Plus he doesn't trust Internet cheapies. He needs to see it on a test that costs a fortune! Haha

Not out until AF arrives @Babyhopeful23 I've got a squinter today at 12dpo, so proof that it can take a while for hcg to show up

@Pitstop1986 thats great news! I just had a look back because I missed your test pics. When did you take these? I can defo see a VVFL on the pic on the right. I have just been reading that pregnancy tests don’t have to be taken with FMU. I’m going to hold out to test again until tomorrow evening and hold my myself for a few hours but it’s just to torture myself further.

Im meeting my GFs for dinner this evening and I’m going to have a glass of wine. I’m honestly 100% certain it’s not my month!

I also had my BFP, I’m 9 weeks today. This was cycle 7. Lots of nausea and tiredness! I have a scan booked for Friday, keep everything crossed! Hope you get your BFP soon @Bex4567
