TWW Buddies - testing end of march

Hello! Looking for TWW buddies. I’m 2dpo today. It’s been a long haul for us - trying since Jan 2022 and never had a BFP in all that time. We have an appointment with the assisted conception unit on the 29th and I’m due my period on the 27th. I’m usually a terrible POAS addict and start testing at 8DPO but I’m determined to wait until 14DPO this cycle. I’m hoping that I won’t be too disappointed if it’s another BFN seeing as we have the fertility appointment right after. Wishing everyone lots of luck and baby dust!

I dunno, I'm not sure how I feel really because it is as faint as monday's test and no other test has even shown a very faint line 😫
I hadn't ever realised about line progression, naive really! I guess a lot of it is time of day etc aswell. I'm not sure on dpo?? I had EWCM last Monday 13th but only got my first positive CB smile on OKP last Saturday? But I started testing too late in my cycle. I didn't realise you have to start testing on a certain day so I'm baffled really! Termination was 31st Jan and had a V v v small bleed on 2/3rd March but I had a scan that showed there was a little bit of blood left and it was very brown so unsure if that was a period or not really? I had a blood test 3 weeks ago that showed hgc at level 4 so shouldn't show anything on a test? I'm driving myself a bit insane! xx

@Southsiderg4 same here. Absolutely nothing on an frer this morning. Think I’m 10dpo today. So assuming that’s me out for this cycle too! I keep swapping between feeling hopeful that maybe I’ll get a line if I test in 48 hours but also trying not to have false hope as I just feel it hasn’t happened this time. 😥Also it’s hard as I haven’t had a period since my MC which was 4 weeks ago. So I have no idea when I’m due on. Flo seems to think next Tuesday but that would be cycle day 35 if my mc is classed as day one and I’ve always been 28 days exactly but imagine a mc messes with that!

@ElleJones1 seems like it could potentially be really early for you still! I'd test in a few days and see... hopefully you'll see line progression by then! 🤞
When my chemical I had a barely there line at 9dpo, a vfl at 10dpo and then a clear one at 11, pretty dark by 12 and then it completely stalled for the next 3/4 days before getting lighter again and af arrived about a week later. If you're super early still I wouldn't worry too much yet! fingers crossed for you x

Feeling a bit meh if I'm honest. Stupid FRER got me all excited!! I've decided to give up testing for a bit and just see if AF arrived next week! xx
Plus if the CB kit was right, ovulation was last Saturday! SO way too soon to see anything yet anyway! xx

Has anyone had this happen before? I like to test my LH every couple of days after it's down down from my peak (dunno why, probably the poas addict in me 😅)... Anyway, I've been using these for 3 months now and until a day or two before my peak, the highest reading I ever have is around 0.25 (but usually much lower!) Just now it's pretty dark to be honest and has come back as 0.6. I'm so confused! The only time this has happened before was last month with my chemical pregnancy (opks started getting darker around 11dpo) I'm only 6dpo today so absolutely can't be that! I'm also 99% sure I'm correct in being 6dpo as I had all the signs of ovulation and also obviously my temperature has risen and stayed risen since. I guess I'll test again later and see but guessing maybe it's just a weird one off reading or a dodgy stick? I'm completely dry down there and my peak was 1.70 so I don't think I can be trying to ovulate again 😅🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ odd...

@HannahLouD are you going to do another ovulation test later today to see if there's any change? It does seem very strange!

My resting HR jumped today by 3 beats per minute, which is unusual. I'm usually very constant and I track RHR as I can usually tell what's going on with my thyroid by what my HR is doing. I did have a pretty rubbish night's sleep last night, so that may account for it. It doesn't stop me trawling through past mumsnet posts about HR rises after implantation!

I'm only 6dpo, so no chance that implantation could have even occurred yet. Just another thing for me to get excited about! 😄

@Pitstop1986 so odd! I can't do another one till the evening because I've had to go into the office and don't really fancy taking a plastic cup with me 😅

Hahahaha! Love it! We are all as mad as each other! I'm 6dpo too so no chance of anything like you say! I reckon it was just a defective strip 🤷‍♀️😅

I think I've decided that I'm (stupidly) probably going to start testing one of my with many, many ics on Sunday at 8dpo... I know it won't show anything, but that way if I did eventually get a line, I'd be able to compare to what a true stark white looks like 😂 I won't use a frer until 10dpo though as that's when I got my vfl last month... don't really see the point in peeing away £5ish before then 🙈

I won't do a frer until I get a line on a cheapy, just to confirm the result... it's a waste of money otherwise in my opinion! 8dpois too soon for me- I'll drive myself mad. I won't let myself test before 10dpo

I don’t really know what’s going on. I got a really faint line on two tests from the same pack but nothing since so maybe it was a dodgy test. I thought I was 15dpo today but no sign of AF and I didn’t catch my peak OPK so I wasn’t 100% convinced. I got EWCM again a week later (last week) and we DTD so maybe I ovulated then instead and I’m actually only 7 DPO. I had a miscarriage last month so think I’m all a bit out of sync. Will give it a week or just wait till AF arrives if sooner.

Update: it was a dodgey opk 😂🙈

@Pitstop1986 you know what, I will try to hold out even on the ics until 10dpo... I'm so unlikely to see anything before then anyway and I've waited this long what's a couple more days 😅 plus it means I get to hold onto the hope for a little tiny bit longer before being shot back down again aha. I know I'm only 6dpo and nothing will have even happened yet but I'm already convinced it's not my month... Although I did say that last month too so who knows I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure it shows but here it is. I’m not sure whether it has colour or not - and negative on a cheapie. I know the indents can be really bad so trying not to get my hopes up!

Question to anyone... (I know everyone's different and I know cm isn't an exact science or indicator of pregnancy, but...)
Has anyone been completely dry down there after ovulation and gone onto get a bfp? I'm only 7dpo but I've pretty much lost hope for this month. Last month I had lotiony/watery cm from about 4dpo and then went on to get my bfp... This month I've just been dry/sticky 😞 already sure I'm out... Ugh. Feel so disheartened already. From most things I've read, it's not common at all to be dry and then get a bfp :/ x

@HannahLouD my CM has begun to change or maybe we just pay more attention to it as we are TTC? I had very little watery CM and no EWCM it’s more dry/creamy like you.

I peed on my first test, I was going to an event last night and I was undecided whether I would drink or not. So I said I would test and if it was negative then I could have some cocktails. BFN!!!! It was so disappointing I know it’s only early but I don’t feel hopeful it will be this month for us. Anyways no more tests until March 30th! Anyone else holding out to test?

How many dpo are you? I'm going to test at 10dpo (Tuesday 28th) as I got my bfp at 10dpo last month so my logic is, if I was pregnant this month, I should see a line by then!? But like I say, already think I'm out. Read so many success stories of people falling after a cp but doubt I'll be one of the lucky ones!

@HannahLouD im not completely dry at the mo but not loads either. Had quite a chunk of very gloopy stuff last night (sorry tmi) but I can’t remember last time if I’m honest!
I caved and did another test this morning! Got a faint positive but followed by two negatives from the same wee?! Mind boggling! Xx

@HannahLouD I'm still very dry down below, but I'm still not losing hope! 7dpo is still very early and the egg might not have even implanted yet! So hormones can't start doing wacky things to our bodies just yet!

Let's hope that the next 3 days pass quickly

@ElleJones1 if you only ovulated last weekend you're still super early so I wouldn't stress yet! Got my fingers crossed for you! 🤞

@Pitstop1986 thank you... I know I'm being utterly ridiculous but I can't help but compare to last month and how different it is this month. That plus my obsessive googling of cm after ovulation makes me think I'm really not in with a chance this month!
I've just read so many people saying that cm can change as soon as you conceive but I'm sure you're right in saying it's not until the egg implants. Just odd how so many people have this creamy cm that doesn't dry up after ovulation and go on to get their bfps... Seemed to be the case for me last month too 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have the day to myself today as my daughter is with her dad and here I am wasting it worrying about cm... Ugh! 🙄x

@HannahLouD i must have missed that you had a CP last month. Im sorry to hear that! Perhaps your body is just getting back into rhythm which has caused the change in CM?
i think I’m day 6 but I’m not entirely sure I even ovulated this month. I’m waiting until Thursday now to see (11DPO) but I don’t feel different at all. On my first pregnancy I knew straight away I was pregnant!

Do you track BBT? That's the only way I can reliably know if I have ovulated or not.
Same - I wasn't trying and was on the pill - not taking it very religiously mind you and out drinking and throwing up from hangovers a lot... 23 year old me was much more fun (or stupid!) 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ but something just felt different and I tested as soon as I had my pill break and there it was, bfp, clear as day 😅
She's 5 next month and obviously I wasn't symptom spotting then so can't remember any of the very early stages!
To be fair, I didn't feel any different last month (apart from the increased cm straight after ovulation) but still got a bfp... Who knows! I guess everyone's different and every pregnancy is different... I hope! Haha x
