Hi everyone, Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting. Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

@Angelselevenx haha that's ok it's totally allowed 😍 yes got peak yesterday ovulation today. I've been getting a few twinges this morning. AF will be due 12th. We've put in some good shots I don't think we will manage tonight but might do tomorrow just incase 😂

@Angelselevenx Amazon do the standard FRER as well I had mine from there and my test was so much clearer with FRER than clear blue and I used the same pot of wee to test on both at 10DPO x

@Mushroo I knew someone that couldn't do BBT her chart was just all over the place it really didn't work for her. I would carry on with it for the month and see how it pans out as it's still early days. Are you doing it as soon as you wake up before anything? Also when you say pretty much the same time what is the difference are you talking like 10 mins?

It’s always between 07:30am and 8:00am when my alarm goes off. I might try and aim for 07:30 exactly everyday and see is that helps.

Was hoping it would be straightforward 🙈

I can’t do BBT. I wake up too frequently, bit of a mouth breather, and generally forget.

so have done another OPK and it’s more positive than yesterdays!! Got my first positive yesterday morning at 10am, it got darker as the day went on. Assumed today I would ovulate… and now have a darker test line. Does ovulation still occur 12-24hrs after first positive (so when the LH surge has started) or from the darkest positive? Gahhhh. I was a bit ‘periody’ ache this morning on school run but that’s gone now. What is my body doing this cycle?! Normally I have a super quick surge, maybe 1 or 2 positives but this is 24hours worth so far.

That’s a great OPK! I’m hoping they will be my friend this month seeing as BBT doesn’t seem to like me

@Mushroo I mean half hour shouldn't make much difference but it might be that it does for you 🤔 def try and do same time every day. I've been doing bbt a long time so now I just do it a few days before ovulation and I'll do it a few days after so I know O has happened. I know roughly what my pre o and post O temps are normally like so this works means I don't have to worry about same time every morning for the whole cycle. I've tried to use my Apple Watch the last few cycles and it sort of works but it's quite jumpy

Definitely - thanks for the advice! I think I’ll kind of compare my BBT and my Fitbit and between the two should get a sense of what’s going on.

thanks for the hint in the FR tests, even if not early theyre a brand I trust a lot and thats a good price!
I hope to make it to 11DPO this cycle before I go wild and poas… famous last words

I’m in the last thrusts of sperm meets egg plan (excuse the pun)
and if I’m not pregnant after this I’ll eat my hat
It is A LOT of DTD
🥵 I can’t imagine if we don’t fall this month I’ll be up for as much next time 😆

Just found this in a pub.med article. Based on that I should ovulate at some point between midday and midnight…
we had sex again last night, so have covered -1, -2, -5, -7 and I will push for tonight. After that we are done. Need to be up at 6am tomorrow to drive up to Northumberland and then staying at family and friends houses

@Angelselevenx I know the things we do 😂 we conceived him 2nd cycle. Second pregnancy was a happy accident and third was cycle 1. This is cycle 3 since I got my period back from the last MC but last cycle I really didn't have much hope as DH went away in FW so we were looking at sperm trying to survive 5or 6 days by the time ovulation happened it would have been a bloody miracle 😂 oooh make sure you show us the results. I do kind of think one evap is one thing but they surely can't all be evaps 🤔

@lottieb92 smep is a lot of work. We tried a shortened version this cycle I don't ovulate until CD20 ish so started end of last week and today is ovulation day it's exhausting isn't it!

@Mummyme87 I'm getting some proper ovulation cramps this morning which is about right after my peak yesterday which I did about 10.30am. You've got yourself well covered there I'd say if you didn't get a chance tonight

Final update from me...

I ended up testing again last night before bed and had an even stronger line which came up really quickly. Was feeling hopeful and stupidly got my hopes up. I haven't had any liquid since like, 7pm last night (so my urine will be really concentrated!) and I just tested again now with smu (as that's when I've had better lines) and the line is basically gone. I honestly thought I was going to have a dye-stealer... I'm so so disappointed.
I don't know if the tests I did yesterday were duds, I guess it doesn't really matter.
I know have my answer... That'll teach me for getting my hopes up.
Thank you again to everyone for all the love and support. Just want AF to arrive now so I can start again. x

@Mushroo I tried bbt for the first time this cycle just with a regular thermometer to see how it goes. I always naturaly wake up around the same time everyday and measure my bbt write it in the app and go back to sleep. It marked my ovulation today the same day I knew it was from cm and cervix position. I didn't think the rise would be so obvious it kinda calmed me down knowing for sure my ovulation day.

Also is anyone else also symptom spotting too early for anything. I'm grtting excited over creamy cm at only 3dpo.

That’s really reassuring thank you - not massively dissimilar to mine with some jumps.

@HannahLouD im so sorry that’s happened. I know it’s easier said than done but the wine honestly had nothing to do with it, do not blame yourself.

Also, there’s still a line, you’re not out until AF although I understand not wanting to get your hopes up. I hope it works out for you, or at least your AF to arrive so you know for sure either way, the limbo is awful.

It's so difficult when life gets in the way of trying isn't it 😂😂

I've just taken a clearblue with smu and honestly I don't know 😩 let me know what you think...

I don't think the early tests work for me as usually if someone is late for AF they're 13/14/15DPO but I'm only 10DPO as my LP is so short

@bringmearainbow I can't see a vvvvvfl on the clearblue but can't picture it and then the IC has the same line as this mornings tests. I'm going to have to wait until tonight or tomorrow 😩

@Mummyme87 that’s a handy article, my clearblue sticks picked up evening of 29th a static smile but my internet cheapies only just started to rise and even then only 0.72! So not my highest peak yet…
because of that we’ve pretty much DTD every night this week and will stop on Saturday 🥵

I love Northumberland what a nice way to start the TWW and relax into it! Enjoy!

@Angelselevenx the early ones that you have there are 10 the ones that give a cross as a positive result are 25. I think I can see a shadow on the CB without the flash 🤔

It does suck when life gets in the way but I only sulked for about 2 days nothing I could do to change it he wasn't here and tbh one more month to get back to normal probably wasn't a bad thing 🤷🏼‍♀️
